Carlos was one of the highlights of our Camino Trip. We arrived 2 hours early and he accommodated us. He was going to Viana that evening and drove us to a restaurant and picked us up when he was going home. He shared about Portugal which was wonderful.

Carlos treated us like family as soon as we walked in the door. His home is absolutely beautiful and he is incredibly kind. The bed and facilities were very good and we would not change anything about the stay. Please reroute your Camino to stay here, you will not regret it!!

Carlos the host was very helpful. He drove us to the town of Afife to get groceries, and then again in the morning to catch a train. Very quiet location as it is away from the village and the highway. We had access to the kitchen to prepare our meals and shared them with other couples that were also staying that night.

It was a bit of a challenge to locate as we did not have data. Carlos did send us a message but we were unable to respond. We were walking the Camino and it was located approx .5 km up the road from the Camino path. The property is away from town so restaurant and market access is not handy, but Carlos was very happy to drive us.

Everything was just wonderful. Especially Carlos made my stay to a great experience! The Pool is great, as is the area! Its an amazing house. Thank you. If i will ever be again in this area, i am sure i will come back!

Was a really nice and comfortable house, with a heartwarming host. After a long caminotour i could relax and recover very well and was offered food and a ride to the house or the supermarked. In the morning we had a great talk about language, culture, education and Wittgenstein while drinking some coffee. Gave me a great feeling for the Day and brought me way more in Touch with the country and its people. Just great and fully recommendable. One of the memories i will think of with a smile. :)

Absolutely stunning house and surroundings … had a fabulous stay … Carlos couldn’t have been more helpful even drove us down to supermarket and we all cooked and had dinner together with other guests … brilliant night

Best host ever! Carlos is very friendly and welcoming. The house is close to restaurants, a market and a beach. There is a nice pool on site. We had a great time at Carlos' house. Thanks!

Bit far to walk from the train station, but directly at the camino. It's a luxurious villa and the owner is just the nicest person. I was sad to leave.

Carlos is an excellent host. We had a wonderful time in this villa with its tasteful interior. The home is very clean and has a really relaxing vibe. You have an amazing view from the mountains to the ocean. This home is inviting you to stay, take a breath from everything and just recharge. We loved our stay there. We are traveling with our 1yo daughter and he gave us a baby crib for her and also a high chair. Thank you so much Carlos that you are giving people the opportunity to stay in such a nice place. Clean room, comfy bed, good shower. Location is amazing -- on top of the hill with a large garden and views of the ocean and sunset. Carlos was a super host. He makes great coffee. He made me food (and it was delicious) when I arrived because I was hungry and restaurants were closed. He even offered to drive me to the train station the next day (I opted to walk because I didn't want to take advantage of his kindness). He is very kind, respectful, a great conversationalist, and very generous. I felt like I was staying with my dad, the way I was taken care of. Good vibes. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Where to start? The welcome we received by Carlos was so nice. We were greeted with a beer and the best probably the best view in all of Portugal. Unfortunately both restaurants close by were closed and we had to go to the centre of Afife. As this was quite a walk, our host offered to bring us by car and pick us up when we were finished. Also, we did not sign up for breakfast, however, this was no problem. The next day we had fresh orange and grape juice, fresh bread, cheese and everything we could wish for for breakfast. Carlos really made sure our stay was perfect.
