3rd time at the Essence Hotel and will definitely go back. Everything and everyone was exceptional. Plenty of food choices at breakfast and dinner - we were half board. Hot food was exactly that, with hot plates to put it on if wanted. Also ate at the pool barbeque on a number of occasions and food was very good there as well. Drinks very reasonable. We hired towels which were €10 each, but fully refundable when returned. We have stayed in loads of different hotels in Torremolinos over the years and can’t complain about any of them but thought we’d “splash out” as it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we were so glad we did. Im Zimmer kam immer wieder ein komischer Geruch auf! Das muss in den Gruff gebracht werden, ist unangenehm u mehrmals täglich!

beds and rooms were tiny. we stayed for two nights and it was manageable but any longer than that and it would have been difficult. breakfast was a good range but disappointing in quality of some items

The food was excellent! Well presented and very tasty. Overall appearance of hotel and good quality decor.

Do not agree with paying 50 euro on arrival for mini bar and was going to be charged for something we didn't have! Should charge at end of stay if required. Should have a courtesy room for guests who are leaving.

Lovely, quiet hotel even though it was close to bars & the sea front. Nice room, a bit on the small size but ok for a 3 night stay. Lovely on suite with a good shower. Plenty of hot water. Room was very clean & serviced daily. The hotel was in a good location about 1 minute walk to the beach & sea front. Nice pool area, though not enough sun loungers. Food was very good, A nice breakfast with plenty of selection. Buffet evening meal was excellent. Good quality well presented food. Plenty of choice & most of it was very tasty.

I found the bed a bit too hard for me. I felt the shelf in the wardrobe was too high which meant that I couldn't hang my dresses properly It was difficult to get a sun lounger. As often happens some people were putting towels on sun loungers but not using them for a couple of hours. There were two seater sun loungers but often only one person was using them. I noticed some couples had a double lounger to themselves.

It said adults only … kids in room Nxt door …in pool etc…. Jacuzzis too cold on deck couldn’t use .. needs to be heated

Goed en schoon hotel met mooie inrichting. Kleinschalig. Perfecte locatie op 100 meter van het strand. Vriendelijk personeel.

Comfortable room, nice staff, good pool, great location, great breakfast and they a good diner buffet. All in all a really pleasant stay.

Minor things, the lock on the sliding doors t the balcony was broken so when you closed them it was very difficult to open again. One of the Jacuzzis didn't work. And poolside towels would be handy.

No balcony. The fridge in the room wasn't cold.

Good location for the beach but a taxi ride into town so as a visitor make a decision whether the beach or town is your preference. The room was nice and spacious and the hotel very clean. Breakfast was really good with a great choice and good times it is served from. All staff very nice and friendly.

The beds were a bit hard and the pillows a bit too soft.

Everything was fine and perfect.

Location was great,staff was very friendly. The hotel is not too big so it is not overcrowded and you can enjoy some time by the pool without feeling like a sardine. The breakfast had a good variety.

The bed could have been a little bigger. Also, there should be some minor reparations around the hotel in terms of cracked glass on the balconies and the bathrooms could benefit from a small redo of the silicone.

The bathroom towels weren’t very absorbent

-Breakfast is very good -They stored our luggage after checkout

-Unfortunately we were here in May when there were 15 Celsius degrees and it rained. We staied for two nights. The first night we staied in a room - standard double room - at the 5th floor, with very thin windows that didn’t seal perfectly when closed (they were not even real windows, more like the glass that you use to close terraces). It was very cold and also very noisy, as you could hear everything from the street. Maybe that’s why they provide ear buds in the room. The surprise was at 5 AM when it started raining through the ceiling directly in the bed. Also the bathroom didn’t have a window nor ventilation and the mud smell was horrible. They agreed to change our room after the first night with one at a different floor. This one had double glazed windows and pool view, but the noise from the street was still too loud, as you could hear every car passing even though the hotel is not at the main street. -There were not real duvets, only some thin blankets that didn’t smell very well and you could put them above the sheet because there was no blanket cover. -The cleaning is not their best feature. The furniture was made of old wood that was kind of dusty. The smell in the rooms is not very welcoming. -The towels were stained. -Sauna access only free from 5 to 6 PM, other hours you have to pay 45€ for access. -The pool was not heated. There was only a heated jacuzzi that is closed on Sundays and Mondays (also not mentioned on booking). -Overall this is definitely not a 4* hotel.
