We had a wonderful 3 week stay with 8 adults and later 8 adults and 2 children. The property was as depicted with well maintained pool and yard, outdoor dining area, well equipped kitchen. It is on 3 levels with connecting spiral staircase plus a loft. Sarah was a wonderful host, very helpful and responsive. Bagni di Lucca is well past its glory days, but still charming and a short rather steep walk from the house. This is not the Tuscany we imaged with vistas of rolling hills and hilltop towns: it is in the mountains, surrounded by forested mountains and with rushing Lima River close by. A small to medium sized car is recommended, as the parking for 2 is tight and the drive up is quite narrow in places.

Brilliant gem of a property in Bagni di Lucca. Excellent pool area, perfect for relaxing. The location is brilliant, there are loads of restaurant options in the town, a short walk and very reasonably priced! Good amount of space for everyone in the villa. The only shame was the lighting around the outdoor table - it was perfect for lunch but a bit dark for the evenings. Highly recommend!

This property is fabulous, spacious, comfortable and clean (photos really don’t do it justice!!) and located a short walk away from the charming town of Bagni Di Lucca. It was really well-equipped for our group of 10 adults staying for the week, with plenty of cooking essentials, crockery, glassware and cutlery that meant we could cook some great meals! We loved the pool and the outdoor space especially. Overall would definitely recommend :)

There were problems from the moment we arrived. A few could have been resolved but in the main they were a consequence of the properties challenging location and very dark poorly lit and dated interior. The access track is very narrow and our car got scratched. A small Fiat would cope but a modest sized family hatchback VW car is very difficult to get up the track. Our car got a scratched wing mirror and we avoided driving as much as we could. The track is uneven and our daughter had a serious fall. The photos and description are that of a fairly smart family villa. A place you could take friends we thought as a treat. But it’s scruffy and tired and I would be embarrassed to have taken friends there. The pool is freezing and we did not realise it would be so cold. Heating is essential not optional. We could only use it briefly and in the early evening when it was warm enough to swim a few lengths. Wasp nest outside in eves plus lots of mosquitoes made sunbathing not an option. Bedrooms hot and the floor standing fans insufficient leading to poor sleep. We are all covered in bites despite covering ourselves in repellent and clothing. Unable to eat outside at table as bitten by mosquitoes and lots of wasps. An attempt to remove the wasp nest with an aerosol failed. No mosquito nets for beds. Most Sun loungers had no actual sun lounger pads. The property is nearby the area’s ambulance centre so constantly awoken at night by sirens and followed by dogs barking along the river valley. Lighting was so poor with limited options as low energy bulbs. Too dark to read your book.

We rented this villa to have an extended familiy get together and holiday. The place was lovely, clean and homley, the pool, garden and outside areas were well kept. It is close to all the shops and restaurants but outside with the views you feel like, you are in the countryside. We would recommend this villa to any one wanting a Tuscan holiday property.

We have recently returned home after spending a fantastic week at Villa Rossa. We are a family of six adults and the villa was perfect for our needs, we found it very comfortable and welcoming. It's rural setting was the best place to enjoy a quiet relaxing time, but good to have shops and local amenities close by. We spent all of our mealtimes outside under the gazebo while cooking on the BBQ or in the pizza oven which was so much fun, we didn't feel the need to go out to eat at all. The swimming pool was the perfect place to cool off as the weather was fabulous. We had great days out visiting Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the beach at Lido I'd Camiore, but it was so nice to get back to the villa to chill out and relax after our time sightseeing. We would recommend this Villa Rossa to anyone planning a family holiday to Tuscany, we had a very happy time there. Sorry we didn't get to meet you Antonio, but thank you for sharing Villa Rossa.
