15 out of 10. Everything was perfect

Portimao is beautiful city, the room was very big and cosy. The view from the balcony was something special. All of the staff frim hotel were nice and polite.

Unfortunately terrible experience.

Location. In the heart of town

A lot of traffic noise at night. Not very comfortable bed. THE WORST PART: My leather jacket, which I forgot in the room when checking out, disappeared without any trace. I contacted the staff as soon as I noticed, but their response, in my view, was not sufficient. If your belongings are not safe in a hotel or guesthouse, anything else becomes secondary.

Superb

It's very central location-wise. It's just 10 minutes away from the station and connected to other links which take you to Lagos or Albufeira. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. Friendly staff!

Beautiful inn, wonderful location

This was a great find. It is directly across from a square that is on the river that has many restaurants. There are also many other restaurants nearby. Our room was really nice and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with its big tub and gorgeous tiles. Paolo at the desk is so gracious and friendly, and he also prepares the optional breakfast. We chose to get that every day and it was wonderful. Every other staff member we encountered was also very gracious and friendly. We stayed in many places around Portugal on a two week trip, and this was our favorite. I've added a photo of the front of the inn from the fountain across the square, and also a photo of the patio where we enjoyed breakfast every day.

The only problem is that there are only three parking spaces, we had a rental car and if the other two cars didn't park correctly then we couldn't park. There is plenty of paid parking nearby. When we couldn't get into our spot but didn't want to get a ticket, and we couldn't figure out the parking meter which was in Portuguese, Paolo was very helpful and came down to the street and showed us how to work the parking meter, so it was all good. There was really nothing else about Arabi that we didn't love.

Great Value and Comfortable Stay

We just completed our 7-night stay at the family-run small hotel in the heart of Portimao city center with a view of the river walk path/square. Arabi has a lovely courtyard for breakfast, tea breaks, or relaxing. The room is of older style with high ceiling, good internet, and A/C that we have many nights of good rest. To us, it’s of relatively great value with an excellent location near the local bus network and within walking distance of the intercity train station. We used it as a base to visit the nearby Algarve cities using bus and train public transportation. Most worthwhile mentioning is that the host/owner Bruno treated us like family with a warm reception and assistance throughout our stay.

The bed can be improved!

A pleasant stay.

After I finished my trip on Via Algarviana, I stopped here and stayed 4 nights. Everything was perfect: very central location, surrounded by good restaurants, cleanliness and a very kind staff. Also, an excellent ratio between the price and what is offered. Owner its an young and very,very nice person. I will definitely come back here and, at the same time, recommend it to everyone without any hesitation.

The staff here are amazing and so kind and helpful to provide to your needs. You will not find better hospitality and the location is fantastic, beautiful views, and lovely recommendations of places to visit. They are in the process of upgrading the hotel, so it will only get better! :)

Extremely central location and parking spaces outside for hotel guests in an area with no free on street parking. We had a view over the plaza with a fountain and a number of restaurants and cafes, perfect for supper and breakfast. The room was basic but absolutely fine, and incredibly good value for money.

Reception staff didn't speak English but were very friendly and we managed absolutely fine. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Wonderful place

WONDERFUL PLACE!😍 The host was great: nice, kind and so welcoming. The room was clean and bright. The common area was cozy and it was outdoor so it was very nice to go there after dinner and breath some fresh air and talk with other people. The brekafast was not included on booking, but the owner offered it to everyone. So appreciated 😍 Finally, the locatiom was very good! In the centre of Portimao and 10 minutes from the station. Very nice places on the square near the accomodation to take an aperitif or to eat! In two words? GREAT EXPERIENCE. If we had to come back, we would choose this place without any doubts 😉

Location was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Parking seems to be an issue at first, but it is not. There is plenty of free parking in about 100-200 meters away. Overall, we loved the hotel.

The double size bad was sagging a little, which made sleeping not that comfortable. The single person matrice on the other hand was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but for the price we paid, having a breakfast was a bonus.

Our apartment was big. A giant dining/bedroom, a great varanda, a second bedroom (all real beds, no sofa beds!), a small bathroom and a kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave and kettle. Everything working. We asked at the reception and they did our laundry for a small fee and the clothes dried on the balcony within a few hours. There was also a small continental breakfast included, we didn't expect.

There's no ventilation in the bathroom. Everything else was fine.
