Perfect for an overnight. They provide everything you could need. Value for money

Room for two westerners was small, having to dance around each other to move around so only really good for very short stays

Great hotel, great service, breakfast might be a bit overwhelming for westerners.

The service was great and helped out with everything. The location is pretty good - about 10 minutes of walking to get to the center of the city (and the main attractions). There is a deal with a parking lot that you can pay at the check in 1,100¥ per 24 hours and it's close by which is great if you have a car.

Breakfast consists mainly of things that we see as lunchtime food (rice, curry, meat, raw egg), we expected for breakfast to have maybe some cooked eggs, salads/vegetables and such.

Though there were families who stayed, I would not recommend this place if traveling with a baby

Location was okay but many guests including us, got confused with another Super hotel near the train station.

Requested for a non-smoking room but was not able to provide this for us. We stayed with a baby in a small room that smelled strongly of cigarettes. Turning on the air-condition made it worse. Toilet wasn't so clean as well when we arrived, isolated hair strands were seen all over upon entering the room.

Good choice

Nice hotel in good location in Matsumoto, short walking distance to main tourist places. Very good facilities (washing machine, plenty of cosmetics, pillows to choose, welcome drink). Staff is very helpful.

Everything is in Japanese, might be hard to understand all the descriptions (for example when you are using washing machine). Breakfast is good but mainly Japanese things (fish, tofu, rice etc.).

The location is well positioned for us to travel to Kamikochi from nearby bus terminal

EXCELLENT

We would love to mention about the staff at reception , specially, Chisako Ikeda ( staff ) who was sweet , amazing and extremely helpful . She made our stay much more comfortable. A BIG THANKS TO HER and HOTEL !!

For a short visit in Matsumoto, it is worth staying at Super Hotel Matsumoto Tennenonsen.

I like the location, the parking space availability, the breakfast and and the spa. I also appreciate it that they let the Receptionist work her early morning shift with her baby.

Great staff really makes a difference.

The room was tiny, but our daughter loved the bunk bed. Breakfast was above average. Staff was very friendly, helpful and warm-hearted - and this really made the difference. Otherwise, it would have been just another business hotel.

We mainly chose this place because of the onsen, and while the public bath was nice enough, we were a bit disappointed that men and women could only use it in shifts as there was only one bath.

Hotspring space is small and often occupied if you go on holidays. Don’t expect you can take a relaxing hotspring bath.

Very good

The location is very close to Matsumoto station and to many restaurants. The room, although it is small it was very comfortable. Definitely a good place to stay for multiple nights because of the good price/benefit relation.

The breakfast time is very short so it is necessary to wake up early. There is only one onsen so the time is distributed for men and women. Unfortunately the time when I wanted to use it, it was unavailable.

We Love Matsumoto!

The hotel was newer and the rooms were clean. I especially liked choosing a pillow and our own yukata to wear in the onsen. The onsen was also nice. Breakfast was good, nothing too exciting. The location was fairly close to the train station and very close to the bus station. There is a really good French restaurant next door!

The hotel was a little too crowded, with only one elevator. We had trouble getting on the elevator on our last day. In fact, we had to walk our bags downstairs. Some people had to wait in line for breakfast. The onsen is located on the first floor near the dining area creating even more congestion, and it was a little strange walking in and out of the onsen with so many people eating.

Comfortable Stay in Matsumoto

The rooms were nice and clean, and I enjoyed relaxing in the onsen. My room was larger than other business hotels I’ve stayed in. I would definitely stay here again!

Just a very good all-round hotel. You can't go wrong with this one.

Very clean and good hotel. As is usual with Japanese hotels, the staff is very friendly and the cleanliness is as high as anyone could ever wish for. The room is not spacious, but it has a clean design, a good bed, couch, and table. The bathroom is cramped by western standards, but features everything you need. And the room has a small fridge, a water cooker for making your own tea or instant noodles, and so on. The hotel is a few hundred meters from the station, so it has easy access to the restaurants around there, and things like the musea in the center of town.

If you like staying in bed late, you can basically forget about it, because the staff wants to clean rooms after 10:00. You can put a notice on your door telling them you don't need your room cleaned, but they go around the halls and knock on the doors of people who have forgotten to do so. They are insistent, seemingly in an attempt to wake up customers that might be asleep in their room. As a result, even if you put up a notice telling them not to come in, you will have a very hard time sleeping past 10:00 due to the loud talking in the halls. Most people wouldn't consider this a big problem at all, but it's the only thing about this hotel that was slightly annoying.

Great location and value for money.

The staff were very accomodating and changed our smoking room to a non smoking room with no trouble. You could also pick your own pillow at the reception which i have never seen before.

The Onsen was only available late at night for males.
