This very comfortable 2 bedroom apartment is really tasteful decorated! We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this property. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The complex is safe, clean and very pretty with a beautiful pool. The location is great with an easy walk to the beach, the river and the town and very close to the supermarket. Would definitely recommend.

Lena and Gil were excellent hosts. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The balcony looks over the pool with views to the sea. The complex is modern and quiet and only a short walk to the centre of all the bars and restaurants. Communication with host was excellent, book in process very easy and as the title says, we are all ready booked up again for next year. This apartment offers everything you could want for a perfect holiday.

Property was 5 mins from beach & town. Good pool area and lovely wrap round balcony. Hairdryer, washing machine, iron & dishwasher also large fridge freezer. Maria Helen’s communication was very good & helped us organise our transfers.

Given a warm welcome on arrival by Helena and showed around apartment which was clean and tidy with all the facilities you could need. Location perfect for both beach and town. Super pool and large balcony which gets the sun all day. Would recommend this apartment and Alvor for a relaxing holiday

Excellent communication with Helena who helped us organise our transfer too and from the airport to our accommodation . The apartment is clean and spacious and we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Alvor. It is in a great location close to the beach and the lovely restaurants.The pool area is lovely with the sun on it all day it is very well looked after with plenty of sun beds.We will be returning in the future ,Thankyou Helena for a memorable holiday. We have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks in beautiful Alvor. This is our second visit but only our first at Vila da Praia and we love it's proximity to everything. Lena was brilliant with communication and when we had a problem with the shower, it was fixed the next day. We will definitely come back.

Apartment was very clean, had all we needed for our 12 nights stay. Was able to access apartment early with no problems. Communication with owner was good & we were given her email address for any problems, which we didn’t need. Complex is lovely & location perfect. Spend many hours walking on the boardwalks. Was a 10 minute walk to town & beach. Would recommend apartment & complex. Alvor is lovely with more than enough restaurants & bars.

Unit is not comfortable, only Portuguese TV for those rainy nights, sofa and chair not the most comfortable either. Lots of little things need attention. Balcony furniture is not comfortable, can't find 4 wine glasses the same, only 3 coffee cups. Knives can't cut butter, iron and ironingboard need replacing. Freezer hasn't been defrosted in forever. Couple of light bulbs need replacing, Bedroom shutter restrainers broken so they bang and rattle. All little things, but overall nice location, very clean, great facility.

A spacious apartment on a well kept resort within easy reach of Alvor town
We have just come back from a very enjoyable 10 night stay in Alvor and we found the apartment suited our needs perfectly.
It is only 5 mins walk from the main street and the beach and a shorter walk to the supermarket and various bars.
We have stayed in Alvor many times but this was our first stay at the complex. A great deal larger than the 1 bed studios we usually stay in and for around the same cost.
The owner was great to deal with and very accommodating to our needs.
We will definitely return.

Home away from home!
We have stayed in this fabulous apartment several times but most recently for 4 weeks in September 2016. It is a large 2 bedroom/2 bathroom accommodation which is very bright, comfortable and safe (it is a gated complex and only residences with a key can gain access). The beautiful wrap around balcony gets the sun at various points throughout the entire day. From the balcony there are lovely views onto the swimming pool (which is lit up at night) & very well maintained gardens and in the distance you can see glimpses of the sea.
The kitchen is compact but with all the space and facilities you need for any in-house dining requirements you have and there is the option of eating on the balcony or at the large dining table inside. The living area is spacious and comfortable and the television has a good selection of English speaking channels. There is a strong wi-fi connection throughout the apartment.
We have stayed in many different properties in Alvor over the years but our preference is for Apartment Sofia in Vila da Praia. The location is just perfect. Equidistance from both the village centre and the beach. There is a small supermarket, laundrette, hairdressers, ATM and bars literally across the road. There is no need for a car here - everything is within walking distance and the local bus service is handy and reliable if you want to go further afield to Portimao or Lagos town or explore some of the other beaches.
We highly recommend this apartment. Lena is a lovely woman and it is always a pleasure to deal with her. She is efficient throughout the booking process and is on hand during your stay in case of any questions.

Fantastic location and great apartment.
A large, bright apartment. We wanted for nothing. The location is fantastic, 5 minutes to beach and 5 minutes into town. Lots of cafes, supermarkets and bars within a short stroll. Car really to necessary but great to explore.
We had an issue with the fridge while we were there and within a couple of hours Lena & Gil had it replaced! Lovely people, very helpful. They were just a call away if we needed anything.
We were away with our 7 year old twins who loved the pool. It was quite busy when we were there but we never once struggled for sun beds even if we looked in the afternoon.
The Dunas complex is a couple of minutes away with numerous cafes for a snack. We enjoyed many a toastie at The Chill Out Bar! Delicious.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vila da Praia and especially Lena & Gils beautiful apartment.

PARTY OF FOUR STAY FABI!!!!
HI-We stayed in your lovely 2 bedroom apartment for a week the service was first class from booking the apartment, my girlfriends father does not walk very well there was a requirement for us to hire a motorised scooter, without the use of the scooter he would not have been able to get about and would probably have spent most of his holiday in the apartment or round the pool. Lena was great for allowing us to use the apartment to keep the scooter at night.The apartment is first class. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Viila Da Praia complex the last time in another apartment owned by Lena which was a 1 bedroom this was also great.Lena passed on the name of the taxi company and we booked this...great service. Dealings with Lena were great the complex is very central to the beech and the town centre.....we are coming back to Alvor in September to use another of Lena's properties for my sisters 50th birthday celebrations, we would recommend Lena's properties to everyone.This is our 4th time visiting Alvor we never tire of coming, there are still so many restarants that we have not tried yet for great food try Marco's in the Dunas Do Alvor copmlex directly facing the Villa Da Praia, there are numerous other great restuarants in the town a great place to chill out is the square. If anyone has a requirement for a motorised scooter try algarveaccessability contact Andy who delivered the scooter to our complex and arranged collection great service.

TOO GOOD TO BE FORGOTTEN
We travelled as a party of 5 adults and the booking of this apartment was made simple by the owners Lena & Gil. The communication was very informative. We were met at the airport by Fernando who drove us to the apartment in a very comfortable minibus arranged through Lena & Gil. When we arrived at the apartment they were waiting for us and I had asked Lena if it would be possible to have flowers wine and a cake in the apartment for my mam's birthday which she had done for me even travelling out of the village to get the items. The aprtment was clean spacious and pretty central to the town of Alvor. This is the third time we have visited Alvor and I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone thinking of going to Alvor. Lena & Gil also have other apartments in Alvor and since our return I have booked to go in October to another of their properties. Alvor is a quaint fishing village very laid back not too noisy with lots of good restaurants and bars. Georgetes was our favourite restaurant but Bouganvila was very good too. If you are looking for a small part of old Portugal there is quite a lot of places to see on the outskirts ie Sagres and its fort and Cap St Vincent the most western point of Europe formerly known as the end of the world before America was discoverd. We hired a minibus with Fernando the driver and he took us to some great places including Cliff Richard's vineyard. A great holiday worth every one of it's five stars and can't wait to return in October.
Lena & Gil are the most perfect host's and nothing is too much trouble if there is anything you want just ask them and I am sure they will do their best to help you.

Alvor Holiday October 2011
Our family had a great time at this apartment. Lena and Gil did everything possible to make life easy for us from the initial booking process, through to meeting us at midnight on our arrival at the appartment -their attention to detail made such a difference.
Our two girls (6 and 9) loved their room and indeed the whole of the complex -they tried out both pools this year and made the best of the sunshine! Vila da Praia and the apartment had everything we needed as a family and is very convienent for the beach, restaurants and all amenities.
I would have no hesitation in recommending others to stay here and we will definitely be back if and when we can.

Lovely Lagos Apartment
Just had a super week at this apartment. Great location on the complex and very quiet if you like your peace. Well equipped and great service from both the owners (Lena and Gil) and from the taxi transfer arranged through them.
The apartment is a great location, 10 minutes from the beach and similar from the village - walking time!
I would recommend this apartment and we'll certainly be back in the future - we hope!

A great family holiday
We have just returned from a wonderful time at the apartment in Alvor. We have four children and this was perhaps our best family holiday ever! The apartment was amazing. The photographs give you a good indication of what it is like but it exceeded our expectations. We were picked up by the ‘friendly taxi driver’ who was very careful to make sure that he had the correct car seats for our children. We paid him for the return journey on arrival (150 Euros) and he was very punctual. A brilliant service. Lena and Gil were both waiting for us outside the complex and showed us round. They really care about making the holiday special. The balcony surrounds the apartment and has been made safe for children. The pool was very clean and the grounds are meticulously cared for. We enjoyed short walks to the beach (10 mins max with our four children in tow!)
The temperature was around 30 degrees and we only saw a cloud on our last day. A light breeze came up every evening which was refreshing – but there is air con in the apartment if needed. The black out blinds and shutters were great for a good night sleep too.
We had a nice day out in Portimao. It cost us 10 Euros for us all to get there on the little mini busses that leave Alvor very regularly. We had amazing sundaes at an Italian restaurant facing the harbour by the bus stop. The children loved these! The Albar in Alvor was a great place to eat too. One word of warning though – avoid shopping in the SuperU near the apartment – it caters for the English but is very pricey. There is a ‘Pingo Doce’ up the hill about 10 mins walk from the apartment. This was similar in price to Asda. The children discovered ‘Bongo juice’ – a must for all ! The Portuguese wine was great too – and very cheap!

Wonderful apartment - just as description, with everything you need to enjoy your stay . There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't there.
Great location near the beach, shops, taxi rank and bus service all within 5 min walk.
Complex was quiet and never any need to rush out for sun loungers!!
Owners were great, nothing too much trouble - great communication from start to finish.
We would definitely recommend to this place - perfect for a truly relaxing holiday.

Great apartment, great holiday!
My husband and I and our 2 teenage children returned last week from a 10 night stay in this apartment, which was wonderful. The complex it was on was very clean and well maintained with a fantastic pool which was never crowded. The apartment itself was great; very tastefully furnished and spacious. It is also in a lovely spot within the complex overlooking the pool (although the tower blocks do look a bit out of place!). It is very conveniently situated with snack bars etc just outside the complex and just a couple of minutes walk into the centre of Alvor.
Alvor is a lovely little town with plenty of snack bars and restaurants- I'd particularly recommend the Bouganvilia (again!) and La Piazza.
Praia dos tres irmaos is a lovely beach- there are a couple of nice coves there and a snack bar. One thing worth mentioning is don't forget that the sea is the Atlantic and does get quite rough. We went to the local beach (which is a bit of a walk though probably not as far as it seemed!) and even though it was a calm day the sea was very rough.
Lena and Gil were very helpful and I'd recommend letting them arrange the transfer- this proved very helpful in our case.
There wasn't a lot to do for older children but having said that ours loved it and would happily return!
Overall we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this apartment.
