This spacious house provides comfortable accommodation for 12-14 people Located in the hills above the lovely, bustling town of Apt, there are breathtaking views of Saignon, one of the most beautiful villages in the Luberon. The house is an oasis of calm, in a beautiful, tranquil location. The pool is heated from the beginning of April to the end of October. A feature of the house is the small cabin by the pool, which sleeps two and has its own bathroom. Air conditioning in the house is provided in the two upper bedrooms and the main living-dining room. The 3,300 m² garden is divided naturally into separate sections, which provide opportunities for quiet and relaxation as well as having petanque court. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso, large fridge freezer and a drinks cooler. There are two televisions, the internet connection is fibre optic, and the mobile phone reception is very good. Six bedrooms are available, five in the house and the sixth in the cabin. In the downstairs living room, there is a convertible sofa which can be used as an additional double bed. All bed linen and towels are provided. A feature of the house is the long south-facing balcony which benefits from the shade from the trees and has beautiful views of Saignon. It is the perfect for spot for breakfast or morning coffee. We have been coming to the Luberon for the past 35 years. We have learnt to appreciate the advantages of a house like ours which accommodates big groups of mixed ages well. Teenagers can make their own way into town which is only ten minutes’ walk away. Adults can do the same and avoid what can become a tyranny of having to drive everywhere to get shopping or a coffee. Apt, as the capital of the Luberon, retains a genuine charm and year-round life, whilst hosting the most famous Saturday market in the region. The lane by the house is at the start of a designated walk into the Luberon hills. The most famous villages of the Luberon - Bonnieux, Lacoste, Roussillon, Gordes etc - are typically within 20 minutes’ drive. The area is great for cycling and we make our own bicycles available. There are also a many other activities in the wider area.

We can't say enough good things about our holiday in this house. The house itself is lovely, comfortable, with plenty of space and in different permutations for all 11 of us, including our children, grandchildren and brother-in-law. Between the main house, and the little cabanon behind the pool, everyone had appropriate room and bathrooms. The glory of the property is the beautiful shaded outdoor dining/living area easily accessible from both floors of the house and overlooking the pool. We spent most of our time there underneath the shade trees, which were lit by strings of patio lights in the evening - eating, chatting on the couches, keeping an eye on people in the pool just through the fence. The pool itself was wonderful - heated, with a heated outdoor shower (!), well maintained by a friendly person who came 3 times while we were there to check on the PH, and clean out leaves. As if that weren't enough, there's a petanque court in the front garden - we spent a fair bit of time there competing, chatting, laughing. Also a portable badminton net, which we moved around to stay in the shade. A fabulous view of Saignon from many angles, and an easy drive to get there for breakfast at Chez Christine, dinner at Le Jardin sur le Toit, and many other delights. Fun to spend time at the Apt market. Friendly people on hand to show us around and hand over the keys to at the end. A memorable holiday. Thank you so much!

We loved this house! The location was quiet and convenient, the inside was cute and clean, we loved the pool and the family seating areas, and check in and out were easy. I highly recommend this home for a large group looking to be comfortable and close to all the this region has to offer!!

Holiday in Apt
We had a wonderful time at John & Vicky’s holiday home with our family. Very spacious with lots of outdoor dining and seating area - the pool is excellent and used most days by everyone.
The location was great for us with lots of wonderful pretty hilltop villages to visit especially on market days. The house was very well equipped with all you would need. The bedrooms were light and airy and the beds very comfortable. John sent us a very comprehensive guide to the area before we arrived which we found very useful. We would have no hesitation in booking this property again in the future.

The house was a great place for a holiday. Very comfortable and a wonderful outside area for relaxation for the adults and play area for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked with all amenities and the hosts were very generous with items left for the guests' use. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

Maison idéale pour une grande famille, avec des espaces bien séparés pour chacun.
Les extérieurs sont très agréables avec beaucoup d'équipements.
La situation sur les hauteurs d'Apt permet d'être au calme, tout en étant proche du centre ville.

Das Haus hat alle unsere Ansprüche voll erfüllt. Vor allem die Kinder haben Pool und Garten sehr genossen. Ein wichtiger Punkt: Die Küche ist sehr praktisch eingerichtet.
Generell: Das Verhältnis zwischen Preis und Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall - und der Kontakt mit John ist sehr herzlich.

Zeer leuk verblijf gehad. Mooie omgeving, kwartier wandelen naar apt. De buren zijn wel zeer sensitief aan geluid.

We had a great time in this beautiful house. It is meticulously maintained, very clean and well equipped. The housekeepers greeted us upon arrived and showed us around. The pool was heated, which was a huge plus for my elderly parents who really enjoyed it.
The pizza oven was fun to use and the outdoor dining area is amazing.
We played ping pong and pétanque and just enjoyed sotting together.
The area has a lot if sights to offer and is definitely worth a longer visit.

Gorgeous property

Agréable séjour en famille sans petits enfants
La maison est très agréable, le terrain très grand et bien situé. La maison était propre à l'intérieur, on ne peut malheureusement pas en dire autant des extérieurs; le bbq était sale, le salon extérieur recouvert de poussières et feuilles, tables poussièreuses, table de pingpong et balançoire inutilisables. Un autre inconvénient est d'avoir la cuisine à l'étage; il faut de ce fait faire énormément de marches si on veut vivre et prendre ses repas à l'extérieur. Vu la dangerosité de l'escalier extérieur, cette maison est à éviter avec des petits enfants. Enfin, dernier bémol, il n'y a qu'une salle de bain dans la maison principale, .. la seconde douche est installée dans la buanderie (bon pour se décrotter après avoir jardiné). En résumé, la maison mériterait un rafraîchissement, un meilleur suivi et certains espaces devraient être repensés.

La piscine chauffée est un plus en ce début juin.
La région est splendide.
Il y a de nombreuses balades à pied et à vélo à effectuer dans les environs.

Une très jolie maison , agréable et chaleureuse . La piscine , entretenue et chaude ! Le top ! Seul petit bémol : une seule véritable salle de bains . Mais ça n’est pas bien grave tant l’ensemble est bien équipé et fonctionnel ! On reviendra avec grand plaisir !

Tout simplement parfait
Nous avons passé 5 jours superbes dans cette maison à la vue imprenable sur la vallée.
Une semaine embellie par le soleil, entre pétanque, tennis de table et piscine, la nature nous offre de quoi être émerveillé si nous souhaitions nous balader. Des vélos sont à disposition, bref tout pour ne pas s'ennuyer.
La communication, que ce soit avec le propriétaire ou la gardienne est rapide et agréable.
Mes amis se joignent à moi pour recommander cette maison où nous souhaiterons retourner dans le futur !

Emplacement ideal
Grande propriété sans vis à vis, très calme piscine chauffée très appréciable. J'apporte juste une précision sur la cuisine à l'étage qui peut être compliquée si toutefois il y avait une personne à mobilité réduite. Le personnel à contacter pour qques soucis ou simples questions est super gentil et très disponible. Le propriétaire est très réactif également et répond vite et fort aimablement. Séjour très agréable

Es war für uns 12 eine tolle Zeit. Wir haben uns sehr gut betreut gefühlt. John hatte so viele Tipps und auch vor Ort hatten wir eine zuverlässige Ansprechpartnerin. Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dieser Location genossen!

Tres belle semaine de vacances
La maison de John est très confortable, spacieuse bien située et très bien équipée, nous avons profité pleinement de la piscine du terrain de pétanque et des repas à l'ombre sous les arbres. John nous a fourni toutes les indications nécessaires pour que notre semaine se passe au mieux, il y a tout le nécessaire pour bien cuisiner, et beaucoup de matériel également pour les loisirs, nous reviendrons sûrement, un grand merci 😊

Très belle semaine
Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable à Apt. La maison est fraîche et bien meublée, le terrain est assez grand avec une très belle végétation. La cuisine est très bien équipée.
Petit bémol : le cabanon n'est pas vraiment utilisable en l'état car il est humide et sent très fort le renfermé, ce qui supprime également l'usage d'une salle de bain. Dommage car il est joli et pratique.

Ein schönes und gut ausgestattetes Haus
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Haus sehr genossen.
Das Haus ist oberhalb der Stadt Apt in einer ruhigen Gegend gelegen. Zu Fuss hat man ca. 15 min. für ins Zentrum, der Rückweg ist allerdings sehr steil.
Die Küche ist sehr gut und auch für eine grössere Familie ausgestattet. Ein sehr grosser Kühlschrank ist vorhanden.
Alle Schlafzimmer sind mit neuen Matratzen, Bettwäsche, Betten und Schränken ausgerüstet. Wir haben alle sehr gut geschlafen.
Der Pool war ein Hit! Er war immer 27 Grad warm, herrlich für die Nebensaison. Man kann trotz kühleren Lufttemperaturen baden gehen.
Rund ums Haus hat es viel Platz zum Spielen, ein neuer Boule-Platz und Ping-Pong Tisch sind vorhanden.
Die Aussicht auf das Bergdörfchen Saignon war besonders am Abend sehr schön. Vom Haus aus, gibt es einen schönen Spazierweg zu diesem Dörfchen.
Herr Hillier hat uns per Mail sehr gute und detaillierte Infos über das Haus und die Umgebung gesendet.
Im Kühlschrank war ein Willkommenspacket mit div. Getränken um den ersten Durst zu löschen. Das fanden wir ganz toll! Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich so gut um Ihre Gäste kümmern.
Frau Ato hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns das Haus gezeigt. Auch an Sie ein grosses Dankeschön.
Kurzum, wir waren mit diesem Haus sehr zufrieden und würden es wieder buchen.

A brilliant house for a large family or groups of friends!
We were 3 families with children aged between 8 amd 15 and we stayed at Johns house at the end August. The house and the grounds are both very spacious and the decor inside is quirky, bright and welcoming. We loved the pool, table tennis, boules and spent most evenings sipping our wine, cooking on the barbecue whilst the children played to their hearts content. The house sits above Apt and has amazing views over to the beautiful village of Saignon. We walked there through the quiet lanes one afternoon and enjoyed ice creams and beers before our return.
The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking for large groups and the house is plenty big enough for 3 families to mingle yet have space for their own down time.
John was incredibly helpful with lots of informative e mails before our stay.
Would highly recommend this great house.
