This cabin was a wonderful place to stay. It was just my other half and me, so we didn't need the extra bedrooms, but the space was nice. It was very clean and had all amenities needed for our weekend. I did pick up a couple things and left them - foil & ziplocks, for storage. I was a little nervous about the steep road and very steep driveway, but our SUV had no problem. I would gladly stay at Robin's Nest again!

Robins Nest has a convenient location, about as close to Nada Tunnel as you will find. It has a great layout for two families and we very much enjoyed our stay. The driveway is no joke. 4WD is a good idea especially if roads could be slick.

They will try and make you pay for damages to their property that aren’t yours and existed prior. Assumptive and rude hosts.
Stay somewhere else in The Gorge and save yourself the hassle.
Property is up a very long and hard to navigate road. There is no yard. There is no view.
Neighbors are right next to you. Lack of seclusion.

We found the cabin to be overall great. Everything was clean and everything we needed was there. We had a great weekend, this cabin is right in the center of the activities we wanted to do. The driveway is a 16 degree grade but was not problem and actually added to the adventure. Hot tub was clean, wood for the fire pit, TV with plently of channels, great internet and cell service. We would stay here again.

We are not ones to complain or to leave a negative review. This cabin upon the drive way was beautiful. We were so excited to enter our little getaway cabin. This cabin is listed as no pets aloud, we always rent pet Free homes. Upon entering the screened in porch was black dog hair all over the furniture. When we entered the cabin the smell of urine hit us all in the face! So we opened the doors to let it air out some. We are considered a bigger family with 6 so having a washer and dryer is a must! The kids were all excited to get settled in, only to find out that the bunk beds had no linens. We tried calling the housekeeping number that was left on the living room table in the information binder for her to say she had not been servicing that cabin for 3 years. Tried calling the owner with no answer, finally messaged through VRBO and got a call back for them to tell us that the dryer quit working and that the house keeper would be back later in the day to make the beds, and bring towels (which smelled soured)Then told us there is a leak in the upstairs toilet. upon inspecting it,it was a pretty good leak, as the next morning water had ran into the middle of the upstairs bathroom floor. We were refunded the cleaning fee and$100 because we could not stay the entire length because of the smell. The information binder needs to be updated. Read not to turn down AC past 74 or it would freeze up and we would be charged to fix it. Cabin has good views but the smell of pee overtook it

Just the four of us adults, the home was clean, well equipped and a very good location for the busy days we were there. We enjoyed having the washer/dryer to use just before check out.

Upon arrival at our cabin, March 2023. We had a terrible storm with high winds. As we entered the cabin it was quite chilly. The thermostat read 64 degrees. When we turned on the smart thermostat it stated that it would be 2+ hours to heat up to 75 degrees. So, as we waited a nice wood stove sit in the corner of the dining area. We thought this would be a good way to heat up the cabin. However, the owners kept it locked up so no one could use it. The cabin was very nice and well equipped with amenities. Other than minimal amount of towels and bed covering. The master bedroom is in the loft area above the living room. Normal sounds from conversation, tv, and very squeaky wooden floor, made it impossible to sleep. Next day, electricity was out due to high winds hitting a transformer. I notified owner at approx. 12:35 pm and advised her of the situation. She said that she would have husband call me. No one every called me back. We decided to pack up and leave. I was concerned about closing up the cabin, with no electric and letting them know that we were unable to complete closing procedure. The cabin would be more accommodating for a couple or small family, due to noise level. The driveway is extremely steep and I recommend 4 wheel drive. . The cabin was clean, well equipped and as advertised. I just wish the owners would have answered their phones. Some guests try to be good renters!!

Great location in for access to hiking trails and several attractions and restaurants within 20 min. Cabin is clean and offers beautiful views. There are cabins close by, but you feel like you have the view to yourself. Fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Plenty of seating and beds for 4 adults comfortably. Nice place to stay!

We would definitely rent this cabin again. Check in was seamless and property was just as described. Lots of room both indoor & outside! Only minor concern was high amount of chlorine in hot tub. Overall, perfect spot for a getaway!

Myself and two friends had a wonderful ladies vacation in the red river gorge and coming back to this lovely cabin at the end of a one day hiking was a real treat. Great location, everything we needed was supplied, having a hot tub to use was a huge bonus. The road to get up to the cabin is paved but one lane and suppper steep, just FYI.

We booked this cabin for my father in law's 60th birthday. We had a great time here! Enjoyed the space, games, nature, and hot tub. We did get lost trying to follow GPS and some of the hills were a little steep. Just follow the directions the host sends and you will be fine. We would stay here again!

We stayed two nights while visiting the area. The house is exactly as described with no issues. The location is convenient to the area. The deck and three season room gave us a place for quiet time in the morning. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay. Coming from flatlands we were a little intimidated by the road up to the cabin and the driveway, but our loaded down minivan did just fine. (Don't use maps to get there, follow the directions Jennifer sends you.) The location is perfect. In-between National Bridge state park and Nada tunnel to Red River Gorge. Close to all the restaurants in Slade. The cabin was just beautiful. Comfortable beds. Both bathrooms had jetted tubs. And the hot tub was fantastic! It's right out the back door. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer which we hadn't plan on using, but was great not to have to bring home wet suits and sweaty hiking clothes. We did check out the trail behind the cabin. It had cute trail markers along the way. Also loved that it had both a screened in porch and a deck. Also the wifi is great but I even had cell service without it. Would definitely stay here again!!

This was a great weekend for our girls to come together and the home was nice and comfortable for us. It was centrally located to the activities that we wanted to do hiking and kayaking. The kitchen was ample and we cooked every night and had great meals. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub

Excellent Cabin
Nice cabin and well stocked. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and I bet it’s awesome when the weather is cooler. Enjoyed coffee on the large deck. We really liked each older kid had their own bed. The driveway is straight up, but no problems for my SUV. Definitely want to return in the Fall and hike more.

The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have some basic kitchen supplies such as salt, pepper, cooking spray and even coffee! The cabin is very spacious and the deck is huge. We had an amazing time the birds and all the wild life kept us out on the deck most of our stay. Relaxing sounds and beautiful view. What more can you ask for. I also asked for a boquet of roses for the wife and we got the most georgouse arrangement waiting on he upon our arrival. Couldnt have been happier. Many thanks.

Our family of four spent a week at the cabin. It was as described; clean, hot tub in good working order, large space but not too large that our family members were able to enjoy alone and together time. The three bedrooms were perfect and good size. The kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels and a nice working washer and dryer. The balcony was a nice area to have morning coffee. If you want to use the gas grill you do need to bring a cylinder. We used the charcoal grill which worked great. The property owners were in communication with us and easily reached in case of any issues. We did leave one night early as the forecast called for freezing rain or snow. Due to the steepness of the road and driveway we did not want to be stranded as any ice on the road would have been dangerous to drive on. Great cabin to rent in a great area!

We stayed two nights in this cabin. The location was perfect for hitting up the Gorge hiking trails. Cabin was spacious and well maintained. Owner supplied name brand supplies like tide laundry, charmin toilet paper and bounty paper towels. I was surprised at how well it was stocked. Hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Lighting in the living room was dim…my only complaint. Would definitely recommend and would return for my next trip.

This was our family’s first VRBO experience and I couldn’t be more pleased. The location was great for all of the things we set out to do at and around the Red River Gorge and we had great communication with the owner/manager, Jennifer.
The cabin was very clean and well stocked to meet all of our dinnerware, silverware, and pan needs. There was also a variety of common seasonings and a few staples if you forget something. Cleanup was easy with the dishwasher. We were very happy there was a washer/dryer, but didn’t use it due to our overpacking.
The beds were comfortable and sheets nice and crisp. My husband even asked for the mattress brand because he slept so well! The hot tub outside was also very nice!
A couple things to note (not necessarily negatives, though). We expected the master to not be too private since it was in the loft area, but getting ready actually was quite private; however, we quickly learned our son could hear every word we spoke with a vent right next to the bed into the room below. Additionally, there is no hanging closet space, but there is plenty of dresser space if you chose to use it.
If we go back to the area, we would certainly look to stay at Robin’s Nest again!

This was the perfect getaway for a girls weekend trip. Location was right near the main hiking trails and Natural Bridge. Accommodations were extremely clean with plenty of towels, bedding, and fully stocked kitchen. Loved how easy it was to use the Nest thermostat to adjust heat as needed since we went in February. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to hold a smaller group of people.

We had the best experience here! The area is beautiful, and being able to watch the night sky through the huge, beautiful picture windows was breathtaking. We had a little trouble because we followed GPS instead of the written directions - definitely follow the directions provided! But the property owner was available at a moment's notice and very kindly helped us find our way. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, even with Roku TVs in each room. The beds were all very comfortable, including the gigantic, sturdy queen bunk beds. Everything was clean and lovely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Another note - I would 100% recommend taking a 4wd or AWD vehicle, the driveway up is very steep. We had a front-wheel drive minivan and made it without incident, but in the future for my own peace of mind I'll probably use a different vehicle.
All in all, this was a very pleasant stay and we would love to come back as soon as we can!
