A wonderful home!
Lovely house decorated in good taste with everything you need and so clean. Situated in a quiet mountain village, Ainos Retreat is the kind of place you can refill you batteries away from the busy town life. The place looks like in the pictures and you have all the comfort of a home. I loved the beautiful terrace with all the greenery, my favourite place to sit in the evening, just listening to the nature around me and gazing at the stars. The house has two levels: the room with 2 beds and a small bathroom is on the ground floor and has a door that opens to the terrace. This one is cooler and darker but has A/C. The other two rooms, living room, kitchen and big bathroom are on top level, and comunicate with the street and the terrace by some outdoor stairs. One A/C serves all the top floor but does a good job. The water was hot and had a good shower pressure. The host was friendly and helpful. He left us some gifts in the fridge and that was such a nice gesture. The neighbours are very friendly and always come and say hello even if they don't know how to speak english. Sometimes they even bring gifts. You can park the car on the street in front of the house and it will be safe.
The closest beach is at a 20 min drive so you need a car to get around as there is no public transport. Also keep in mind that one of the roads leading to the house is very winding (the one from Tzanata). If you are afraid of those kind of roads, you better avoid it. An important thing you should know is that the top rooms have wood floors that make a lot of noise so the people at the ground floor will hear every step. In the garden there are some fly traps that smell really bad. It would be better to find some other solution. If you seek a quiet, far from city, in the nature, traditional but modern stay, this one is for you. If you want to be close to sandy beaches and people, you should reconsider.

Fabulous retreat with every comfort, stunning views
The mountain location of Ainos retreat is stunning and we enjoyed walking in the locality. The house is beautifully presented and very comfortable with a lovely outdoor area for meals and relaxing among the flowers and the surrounding scenery. Nasos made our arrival and departure very easy and kindly provided us with fruit for breakfast and a farewell gift.
Whichever route you take, there are many bends in the road - this is the only way to achieve the wonderful remoteness and tranquility of course - but be prepared!

Superb
The house is very comfortable, spacious, clean and well furnished. The garden is lovely, beautiful, full of plants and flowers, and also super equipped to be enjoyed for the entire day, with tables, a sunroof, sunbeds, a shower and a barbecue. The owner is really a super super host: it made us feel very comfortable, waited for us to arrive late for the check in due to a ferry delay, explained us some tricks to enjoy the tourism on the island, was always super ready and super fast to respond us on the phone for everything, and solved very quickly and very effectively a wasp problem in the garden as soon as we told him. Also, when we lost the ferry in the day of our checkout, he offered us to stay one more night by his house for a very low price, lifting us up from a very bad situation.
Unfortunately, the house position makes it not so easily reachable and not so comfortable to use it as a base camp to visit around the island, except for the mountain and its natural reserve. Also, it could be very more quiet due to its position, but neighbors's dogs happen to randomly bark for hours, even at late night.

Fantastic house in a gorgeous location!
The house was fantastic, a gorgeous, peaceful location. The host, Nasos, was exceptionally friendly and helpful and has really thought of everything you may need in the house. He also arranged our car hire for us which went smoothly, and gave us tips on places to visit on the island.

Exceptional
Very nice location, all the comfort you can wish for. Very clean, new, very well equipped with appliances, smart TVs with Netflix account, very good internet coonection, nice terrace where you can serve breakfast in the morning without the discomfort of the heat from the sun. The host, Nasos, brought us a melon, water bottles, juice, jam, butter, bread when we arrived and a small gift on departure. He was also very helpful and told us about all the beaches that are worth visiting and even helped with info on COVID tests locations on the island. Only warning is about the access road, do not follow the forest road coming from the north sugested by Google Maps, it's very very bad, however there are other 2 roads with asphalt from the south / Poros which are very ok. All in all a very pleasant stay, for sure will recommend to our friends.

Very nice and quiet
Quiet place, close the sea and hiking roads to the mountain (with your own car) Host very helpful and really is trying to make your trip as good as possible. Very nice garden, was lovely to have bbq in the evening and yoga in the morning.
stairs on the first day seem to be steep and small, but very quickly you get used to them :P Mind your head when you get inside from the garden (low back garden door frame - I am only 180cm /5ft.10)
