GUEST REVIEWS - from Summer 2017 "Our stay at Lothian Road was absolutely wonderful - the flat is beautiful and the views from the kitchen over Usher Hall are stunning. We were also surprised by just how central it is, practically in the shadow of the castle. We had an amazing stay and would thoroughly recommend this flat to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh". "Fantastic flat -so close to all Edinburgh has to offer especially at The Fringe. Able to nip downstairs to watch the fireworks after the Tattoo when we wanted to. We walked everywhere & it was great to be able to pop back to the flat to recharge ourselves before heading out again! Lots of eateries & supermarkets around. Little noise from outside which is great. Comfy beds, chilled lounge and fab window seat in kitchen to watch the world go by!" "The location was perfect and finding it was easy. a short taxi ride from the airport of 20 minutes but could easily get a bus too. The apartment was as advertised, very nice. The host helped us with everything needed and even let us keep our bags there as our flight was late. thank you very much. would definitely recommend"

Can’t beat the location. Walking distance to the castle, Royal Mike, etc. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. A good pub in the bottom of the building. The kitchen is a bit tight and the apartment could use some refurbishment/update, but served its purpose overall.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July with our 11 and 14 year old daughters. The flat was plenty big enough for us all. My older daughter especially loved the bedroom with the lofted bed. The flat is in the perfect location for exploring the city. We walked everywhere... 20 minutes from Waverly train station, 15 minutes to the castle and Royal Mile, 25 minutes to the Botanical Gardens, 10 minutes to Dean Village. There are many great restaurants within a few minutes walk as well. We loved sitting in the window seat in the kitchen and watching the people in the square below. Having a clothes washer in the kitchen came in handy! The only downside was the windows did not open much so it got a little warm in the flat. But we were there when it was particularly warm, so it probably would not be an issue for most of the year. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is nicely located within walking distance of everything the town has to offer. The Park, The Castle, The Mile all right there. There are plenty of shops, groceries and restaurants within a block or two. The unit itself is nice, a little old like the city but overall nice. The biggest draw back is that the unit is on the second floor and there are lots of stairs, no lift. If you have bad knees, bad back or are elderly you may want to keep looking. Overall for us, it was a great vacation getaway and this unit was perfect for what we needed. Thanks.
