Situated in West Custer Township, this lovely chalet for R 3,655 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Elk Haven is a collection of 5 cabins on a 7 acre property located in the Black Hills, on the edge of Custer, SD. Our Cabins are ideal for families, reunions, hunters and group gatherings ...as well as a romantic getaway for two. Because our cabins are centrally located to all the area's wonderful Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore attractions, it's only minutes until you're back "Home" to rest and enjoy the natural beauty and serenity right off the deck of your Black Hills cabin. There is a master bedroom with queen bed and closet, with direct access to a spacious bathroom with a shower. The loft area above is divided for privacy and has 2 queen beds. There is also a living and dining room area. Each cabin has a full kitchen with all the amenities of home which include stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, blender, dinnerware, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, bakeware; everything down to spice rack, dish/hand soap, hand and paper towels. Each Cabin has it own private deck with outdoor furniture, BBQ with tools, and great views of wildlife! Elk Haven is a great space for a family to spread out and get comfortable and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Black Hills. Check out our newest property located just 3/4 of a mile up the road past the cabins. The Bluebird's Nest is a brand new garage apartment with a master bedroom and bunk room. It has one Twin XL and one Full size bed in the bunk room, Queen bed in master bedroom, and queen pullout couch in the living room. The kitchen has a full size refridgerator/dishwasher and microwave. Bathroom with double vanity. This location has heat and A/C. Property backs up to Forest Service and view of Crazy Horse. Peaceful and beautiful location.

We have a service dog for my husband. This property was the perfect site for all of us. Deer and Turkey in the yard. It was a perfect vacation. Our cabin was spotless. My only suggestion would be directions for using the TV remote.

This cabin had everything you needed! We had the best time in the Hills. We come every year to visit family and this was in the perfect location. It was clean and had the perfect amount of space for all. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the quiet setting. Close to town but feels very secluded. Deer in the yard each morning added to the joy of coffee on the porch. Clean, comfortable. Loved it.

We stayed at the cabin during our family vacation with our four children ages 22 months to 12 years. The rental owners went above and beyond to assist us during our stay (and prior to when we had a little car trouble they were able to recommend a mechanic and a shuttle service if needed but thankfully the mechanic was able to quickly fix our vehicle!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elk Haven!

The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It does have cobblestone steps going to the stairwell to the unit. Although we had no issues ourselves there are other units that would be more appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.

This property is exactly what we were looking for. You never know for sure when you book online, but the pictures captured the exterior and interior perfectly. It really made it easy to make our selection when reviewing "pet-friendly" properties. We had our 20 lb. beagle with us and truly enjoyed the remoteness of this location.

Check in n out process was easy n convenient! Property Manager checked on us to see if anything needed. Very clean n well stocked kitchen. Took a little time to warm up the cabin but when it did it was very comfortable. Great location close to attractions! Would stay again!

The town of Custer is a great small town atmosphere that looks like it's from a page of the old West. All of the things that we wanted to do were about 15 mins away, with the exception of The Badlands, which we toured on the way home. The restaurants had an array of delicious food and many wonderful products to purchase from the stores. Trails for hiking were just outside of the town. It was a great trip.

Great location in Custer, SD. Quite and scenic. One of 5 cabins on the hillside. Had a family of 4 adults. One bedroom downstairs with 2 double in loft separated by a wall. Great for kids too. Owners very communicative. Keep us up to date. Was available if we had any issues. Felt very comfortable and was relaxing. Would go again.

Very conveniently located - we were able to do more in 2 days than I could have imagined. Kris and Beth armrest great hosts - the cabin was a perfect base for our family of 6 - very well maintained and accommodating for our kids and pup. The rocky hill behind the cabin was the kids’ favorite. We will be back!

My college and I decided to take a Dad/ Daughter trip. This cabin was a great place to stay. Location was private and out but only a mile from town. The cabin was extremely clean, updated and was very comfortable. They also provided liens, shampoo, and all other necessities. Received a couple of texts from Kris/Beth asking if we need anything. They made us feel welcome. It was close to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Windcave national park and a scenic 2 hour drive to Devils Tower in Wyoming. I definately plan to return!
