About this condo rental
Our picturesque holiday home is located in a quaint pedestrianised cobbled street in the very heart of historic St Andrews. It is within a few steps of the University, Cathedral, coast and a nearby array of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars - not to mention a Sainsbury’s grocery store. The famous Old Course is also within a convenient 5 minute stroll. The property itself dates back to the 1800’s but has been completely refurbished and moderised to a high standard and has an exquisite BBQ/outdoor dining area in its own private secluded courtyard. The property is equipped to the highest standard with high-speed fibre broadband, international satellite 4HD entertainment and Sonos sound system. Within the compact kitchen there are all the usual requirements including dishwasher, microwave, Dulce Gusto coffee machine, washer/dryer etc. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom and patio doors onto the private patio. The second bedroom adjoins a bath/shower room and can be configured as twin beds or a kingsize double - just advise on booking. The beds are all prepared with fine Egyptian cotton bedding. A fifth member of the party can be accommodated in the sofabed in the livingroom again with double patio doors leading out to the courtyard with dining facilities. Our stay could not have been better. The flat is homey, decorated nicely, furnished well and within walking distance to St Andrews Golf Club, pubs, restaurants and shops.
If we make it back to St Andrews we’ll definitely book again! 5 star experience.

This flat was perfect for our family while attending my son’s graduation from St. Andrews. Very convenient location. Flat was well appointed and comfortable. Stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Wish the weather was nicer to enjoy the outdoor area! Amazing stay!

Bolthole is a charming stay! We felt right at home when we walked in. The location is unbelievable. Graham is easy to be in touch with and gives great insight.

The location was perfectly situated near pubs and restaurants on Market St. We were a short walk from The Old Course and sites such as the Castle and Abbey. Property very clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could need, including a much needed dryer after golfing in rain for two days! We would definitely stay again!

The place, location and accommodations were great. We enjoyed the home and would return to this property again. The only negative would be that it was possible to lock someone inside the property with the current locking mechanism for front door. Not sure why this can happen but it occurred during our stay.
Other than that we had a great time.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our trip to St. Andrew’s. It was two adults and one 7 year old “aspiring” golfer.
Being able to do laundry at the house was a game changer, allowed us to pack light. Having the kitchen was great for breakfast, amazing coffee maker. We didn’t have a chance to use the patio, but it was such a pleasant feature of the house.
There’s a grocery store just around the corner, perfect for breakfast foods and picky kids! Many great restaurants within walking distance. We must have picked a busy season, most restaurants required reservations for dinner. We caught on quick. Overall a fantastic stay, highly recommend, our 7 year old says “5 of 5 stars”.

OMG, this was the best place we could have hoped for with its location so close to the St. Andrew's Links golf courses. I will definitely be rebooking this lovely spot when I return to golf the area again in the coming years!!

The property was exactly as advertised and just perfect for us!! To be able to walk out your door and enjoy all that St. Andrews has to offer was wonderful and free parking was just a few yards away. And, it was a short drive to Crail to do a walk along the Fife Coastal Trail. All contact with Graham was timely and helpful in every way. Would definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to return to the area.

We loved this property! It’s location could not be better, and it’s spotlessly clean. St. Andrews golf courses (my husband and son were blessed to be able to play The Old Course) are a short walk away as is everything else you would need. Graham is so fast with communication even though we were coming from the states. Do not hesitate to stay here. It’s even cuter in person if that is even possible. Cheers!

This was the best location to stay in St. Andrews! 1/2 block off Market Street and North Street … easy walking distance to everything … and only a few steps to your very own local pub, The Central … The apartment was updated and modernized, well kept and very clean and would be perfect for 2 couples sharing as there was separation for the two bedrooms. The linens were awesome and soft. For those from North America the king size bed listed is not a king as per North American standards, it’s a queen size so a bit tight for those wanting the space of a king size bed. We would definitely stay there again!

We came for our niece’s wedding. The Bolthole was a perfect choice of location and room for two couples. It is in the center of everything and is supplied with whatever you might need. We had a wonderful time!!

Our host Graham provided the perfect place for us to enjoy the city on our weeklong stay! Communication was fantastic from initial booking throughout the end of stay. The flat was exactly as described. Graham hospitality and added touches were certainly welcome surprises. If ever we come back, we will reach out to Graham again!

The flat was very centrally located to all things you would want to see and easily walkable. The flat above was quite loud two of of the nights but just over one of the bedrooms, our child was fine sleeping on the sofa in the living room these nights where it was quieter. Overall it was a great stay.

Steps away from anything you could need. It’s also walking distance to all St. Andrews golf. With it being in the hub of a University town, don’t expect quiet nights. One of the bedrooms is away from the madness, the other is not….bring ear plugs. Overall great place. Loved it.

Stayed in St. Andrews as a birthday present for my son to play golf. Property was wonderful and just as the pictures showed. Location was ideal and close to everything. Worth walking down the street to the other grocery store (vs. just around the corner) as they have much better selection.

The apartment was clean, very comfortable, had a well stocked kitchen, nice outdoor space, and was in a good location. We will definitely be back again the next time we travel to St Andrews!

Had a brilliant time in St Andrew’s. The Bolthole is in a great location with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. The property was really well kitted out, clean and the outside seating area was such a bonus to have as we could sit out and chat in the evenings. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I just concluded a five night stay in Bolthole. Based on photos and reviews, we had high expectations prior to our stay. Those expectations not only were met, but they were exceeded. The central location was ideal for shopping, dining and golf. The flat itself was clean and well furnished/stocked. The secluded outside area and fire stations was wonderful for evening drinks and conversation. Plus, owner Graham could not have been a more welcoming host. The Bolthole is truly perfection in the heart of St. Andrews. We will be back.

Graham was a five star host. Our vrbo, on cobblestoned College street, was perfect. If my husband and I don't return ourselves, I will gifit it to our children on seperate special occasions, as an opportunity to explore the beautiful city of St. Andrews and tje surrounding fishing villages. Everything was within walking distance, the restaurants, stores, beaches, ruins. We also loved our walk along the coastal path between St. Andrews and Crail. Thank-you Graham!

Great stay!
We were originally supposed to stay in 2020. We finally managed our trip this year. The owners were very nice to work with throughout the process of postponing and rescheduling. The apartment is situated in a great location - super convenient to golf, parking and shops/restaurants. Very, very clean and equipped with all necessities. One note - there is no indoor eating table, only the outside picnic table (if this is important to you). The apartment worked great as a base for us on our trip to St. Andrews!

This home is lovely. Well appointed. Quiet Comfortable beds, living spaces and baths. The kitchen has modern appliances including a great washer dryer, fridge, freezer, coffee machine etc.
The location cant be beat. It's walking distance to the golf courses, the heritage sites, restaurants, pubs, wine shop, grocery, cheese store etc.
While it doesnt have parking, it is a short walk to the lot that allows long term parking and there is lots of free parking on street after 5 pm. So that is simple too.

This was the perfect property for our group - 2 couples celebrating our husband's birthday with a golf trip. The flat is centrally located and walking distance to all that St. Andrews offers. The flat is perfectly described in the listing and the owner is really great about communicating and worked hard to ensure our stay was perfect. We only really had one issue and that was completely outside of the owners control. In fact, we never addressed it with him. One of the bedrooms has an upstairs flat above it and the neighbors or renters were partying until late in the night. It was one night and while we had a rough sleep, it didn't happen again so we chalked it up as a one off. I will also note that there is not any luggage storage in all of St. Andrews. It might be an issue for travelers with early or late flights. Graham, the owner was great about offering us some accommodations. In the end, we didn't need to store our luggage and everything worked out. We are so thankful to Graham for sharing his amazing flat with us!
