Island view is lovely with fabulous views from all rooms. We had a lovely 2 week holiday with our son and daughter, plus our son’s girlfriend. We had a few teething issues (the kettle didn’t work and a socket was faulty but the agent was very helpful and sent a new kettle the next day. The weather was extremely hot, but the villa is cool enough inside without having air conditioning on all the time. The villa is close enough to Kalkan to walk in but we didn’t because it was so hot. Our 17 year old was pleased to find a gym within walking distance but he asked for a lift back up the hill in the heat. The villa is quite well equipped but could do with a few more cereal bowls. The description was accurate except that there wasn’t a spa whirlpool. We visited the beach clubs, Katapus, Saklikent Gorge, Islamist, Kas, Fethiye, and really enjoyed the Babadag cable car.

We stay 10 days in the villa (family of 5). The confort of the villa is excellent: modern kitchen equipment, good beds, air conditioning in every rooms... The pool has a good size probably 7x4m and enjoy shadow in the afternoon so children can safely play many hours. The view of the small gulf is incredible the day but also the night with the city lights. You can enjoy the view from the pool, balconies, the bedrooms or the amenaged roof top. If you have 2 years old baby beware of the balconies or stairs. The proprietary Steven and Nilgün the local agent are very friendly and responsive. The location of the villa is great, at 2mn from the food stores by car (probably 10mn by walk). The road is a bit hard to climb, but like many roads in Kalkan. Overall, we had a great stay in this villa.

We visited as party of 8 and absolutely loved our 11 days at the villa. Villa owner Steve is so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was great. The pool is a good size and there is air-con throughout. There are two lovely ensuite bedrooms on the first floor and on the top floor two smaller bedrooms that were fine for younger members of our group. Kalkan is such a wonderful destination with multitudes of very reasonably priced restaurants and bars. We particularly enjoyed two day boat trips, organised by Nilgun, who represents Steve and looks after the villa in Kalkan. Our visit was in July and it was very hot, my understanding is that heat-wise April and October are pretty wonderful times to visit. Top tip - if visiting from the UK, bring sterling and change money once there. In the UK the best rate we could find was 5.75 Turkish lira to the pound, in the resort 6.25 was readily available. We hope to return again soon

We have just returned from a week in this villa and we can't fault it. There was 6 adults & 1 baby and the spaciousness of this villa meant none of us felt claustrophobic we all had more then enough personal space. The whole villa is set over 3 floors with 3 beautiful balconies which equally gives you views over the whole of Kalkan it takes your breath away with the beauty it's provides especially when you wake up that 1st morning. There is air conditioning throughout which was a god send in the heat for the baby & wifi on all levels which suited my children as they could post on social media their pictures of holiday. We walked into the town but a taxi was only 11tl which is only £2 in case your not that able to walk up & down & it's a haven of new to old time shops and everyone is friendly .... not hassling you to come into shops or grabbing you to drag you in, these people genuinely want to talk with you. We dined at so many places as well as utilising the kitchen in the villa by shopping at the local supermarket & getting fresh meats from the butcher...... a chicken works out at £1.50 !! Yes that's right so you can see another charm it's so cheap if you hit the right places. The harbour is a little more pricier but at the same time worth every penny and you can't deny the visual setting while eating your meal. You can arrange a boat trip out through the owner or Nilgün who looks after the villa & you can't miss it sailing to different bays to swim in crystal clear waters & even get a chance to see turtles, to top this adventure they catch & cook your lunch on board (food was unbelievably delicious). The villa has a pool which may look small but it's not it's was more then enough for all of us splashing & enjoying it together then to relax on your own terrace with no fear of others interrupting you is priceless. The villa is overlooked by another behind it but this did not make us feel imposed on in any way. So all in all I could write all day about our experiences here in this fully functioning fully equipt exceptionally stunning home from home when really you shouldn't waste anymore time reading this & get booking as it fills up quick..... 3 days in we rebooked and are now counting down the days to our return. Thank you so much for an amazing family holiday and making it feel so special.

The Villa is well furnished and has great views out to sea and over Kalkan. We are a family of four and had loads of space - you could easily have an extended family staying here or 2 families. 4 full bathrooms - which my youngest son was keen to use on a rotating basis....one with a bath. I don't know if it was because we where the first renters of the season but we had quite a number of teething issues which was frustrating but, to be fair both the owner and local agent responded very quickly to these. I would say although in good condition in the next season a few bits need tidying up but great value and overall very nice. In the heat or if you want to get around quickly I would very much recommend a car. You can drive quite easily from Dalaman - about 80 miles and relatively straight forward. The pool looks small in some pictures - it isn't - good size for a family with two teenage boys (as we are) or a group of friends. Some noise from the villa below and you are overlooked by the one above but nothing horrendous. Have always loved Kalkan and the surrounding areas. The Turkish are (as always) very welcoming, the town has great restaurants and their are many other things to visit nearby.

AMAZING HOUSE IN AN AMAZING LOCATION! We have just returned from a two week stay and it really is a paradise. There were 7 of us, 2 families, 4 adults, 1 teen and two wee ones. The house is tremendous. The views may be the best in Kalkan. Given that Kalkan is built on a hill, many of the villas look like they have great views, but many will only have that from the roof terrace as the villas in front take the view from the first couple of floors. Island View has them from wherever you are on the property. The house is fully air conditioned and is laid out perfectly. There is space and light and you can always see the kids in the pool if you are bbq'ing or cooking. Some of the pictures make the pool look small, but it is really quite large. The 7 of us were in the pool, floats and all, and we had an absolute ball. There is excellent privacy and at no time did we feel that we could be seen by any neighbours. The rooms are a good size and the master rooms benefit from en suite wet rooms. Island View is a nice distance from the busier parts of Kalkan. It is a 10-15 min walk down the hill and a 12tl taxi back up (£3 for all 7 of us). We never had a car and never needed one either. Steve (the owner) could not be more pleasant and helpful. He stays in touch and fields any concerns quickly. When you are there the local agent, Nilgun, is also a very nice woman that helps with anything you need. July is HOT HOT HOT! Tbh though, that's the way we like it. Days out are plentiful and all of the places we saw were a dream. If you want a holiday in the sun, excellent value and food and a place that is not for night clubbers and gangs of drunks - Kalkan may well be the perfect place. We will certainly be back and we will certainly be in Island View. The house and location are simply perfect. As our group must have said a thousand times as we stood by the pool, on the balcony or sat on the roof terrace 'Look at where we are!!!'.

Just returned from a WONDERFUL seven night stay at Island View. Our party consisted of four adults and three children, two teenage girls and one nine year old boy. The villa was beautiful, very spacious, peaceful and well equipped. The view from the villa is breath-taking, overlooking the beautiful bay and town of Kalkan. Kalkan itself is an absolutely delightful place, with an abundance of fantastic restaurants and quaint shops. This is our second time in Kalkan this year and we would definitely return to the Island Villa again!
