It sits on top of the bluff and the wonderful back deck has an amazing 180% view of the coastline. Although this cottage has an old fashioned vibe, it's cute and cozy enough for any family or group of friends looking for a beach side getaway. ABOUT SEARISE COTTAGE There are two bedrooms where you can lay in bed and listen to the surf crash down below. Both bedrooms hold a queen sized bed and windows to enjoy the beautiful view that the Searise Cottage has to offer. The main living area space is great for sitting and relaxing with the family, playing board games or enjoying the large windows with the ocean view. We stock it with all of the pots, pans, dishes, and flatware. There are restaurants and bars just down the road if you don't feel up to cooking. Vacation is all about relaxation right?! What better way to do that then by letting someone cook for you! The restaurants in town are divine and full of hand crafted menu items. Ocean Shores is just a short 20 minute-drive down the highway if you want to go rent a scooter for the day or check out some of the local shops on the coast. Dogs are welcome with a standard per dog, per night fee. ABOUT MOCLIPS Booking one of our properties in Moclips? In this little community, you'll find an array of seaside activities for you and your friends/family to venture into. Fly a kite in a contest, build a sand sculpture or go sea kayaking. There are numerous nearby state parks that are perfect for hiking, surfing or just an afternoon stroll along the beach. During the Spring and Summer, you'll be able to bird watch or go crabbing. If it's warm enough, take a surfing lesson or go fishing so you can catch something for dinner later! Visiting us during the colder months is perfectly okay too. There are beachside restaurants and museums between Moclips and Ocean Shores that will keep you busy while still being able to enjoy those stunning views THE BY THE SEA, BY THE SEA PROMISE By The Sea, By The Sea is the only full-stack vacation rental management company in the area. We are available to assist you every day of the year if you have any questions or concerns before, during or after your visit to our home. We have onsite property management available 24/7 for anything concerning that may arise. MANAGED: This well managed property needs good guest behavior and adherence to instructions, rules, terms, conditions, and requires online registration, accidental damage protection, and electronic signature before final booking confirmation, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording depending on staffing. There may be interior decibel meters to report excessive noise. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am.

Fantastic deck space and ocean view! Perfect yard for our dog. A little funky but we really enjoyed the house and proximity to the beach. Kitchen had everything we needed. Already talking about returning next year

This is my family's third time staying here and first time over the July 4th holiday. It was absolutely fantastic and 2000% hope to stay again next year!

I call this review "FORECLOSURE SEARISE COTTAGE."
The grass was next cut for several months. The grass in the driveway concrete cracks was 8" to 12" tall. Shrubs and bushes have not been trimmed for several months, and all block the view of the Beautiful Pacific Ocean. Looked just like a foreclosed home. Remember, I am paying premium summer rental rates.
As I arrived and opened the door, I smelled hot stall air. I could smell pee, and everything was dusty, grimy, and dirty. I took my shoes off and walked around, and the Kitchen floor dirtied the bottom of my socks.
In the kitchen, there was an Air Cleaner machine running. It was blowing out hot, smelly air( No Filter, no water in tanks for purification were bone dry). I unplug that unit before it blew up.
The review sheet show " Internet Available." This is Not True. I called the office several times, and the excuses were service was out in the area, unplug and wait 20 minutes, Unplug and wait 1 hour, and I even unplug for overnight, and still did not work. I was told that Chris will be out to fix the unit, and Never showed out. After 13 days, No Internet, and no one from management cared.
I tried to use the vacuum to clean up, and the vacuum was clogged up with dirt, hair, etc. Someone long ago sucked up a dryer sheet, it was the start of the 6' to 8 clogged hose. Once I fixed the vacuum and had to dump the bag, I could clean the carpet, and I received another full bucket of dirt, hairs, etc.

This property has an excellent view of the ocean, and lovely landscaping. The neighborhood was fairly quiet except for traffic noise. The property was not as accessible as we had hoped. The knobs in the bathtub/ shower were difficult to turn. All in all we had a nice time; being able to take a proper shower would have made it better.

Very homey rental, had everything we needed. I only ranked it a 3 star because of the old carpet and sofa. If I could buy that little home, I would, we really liked it..

We enjoyed our brief stay here, particularly the fenced in yard for our pup, and waking up to ocean sounds out the side window. It was cozy enough and had reasonable basic kitchen supplies. Check in was easy and management company was available with needs regarding wifi. However, the space is quite retro and for the cost (which is similar to much newer/nicer spaces in Seabrook), would expect even minimal updates like a couch that is not 40+ years old.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this vintage bungalow with incredible views of the Pacific. There’s even vintage Pyrex to use in the kitchen. Loved listening to the pounding surfing. Beach access is so close, north or south. We enjoy driving onto Moclips beach, no dragging your gear through the sand, just park where you want to be.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Searise Cottage! It was easy to find and get into on the first night. The place was immaculate and well-maintained. and had everything we could need for a long weekend at the beach. We woke up to a spectacular ocean view on the first morning and decided to head for the beach. It only took us about 5 minutes to get down there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beachside getaway!

Wonderful deck in the backyard with an incredible 360 degree view of the pacific. You could hear the waves from almost every room in the house. Lovely nearby beach access to uncrowded expansive beaches. Just two-tenths of a mile from the Ocean Crest Restaurant, which was top-notch. Well-equipped kitchen. Some minor maintenance issues.

This place has an amazing view of the ocean from the back deck. The beach can be accessed from the staircase located at Ocean Crest Resort a few minutes' walk away or a short drive to the beach access road. This is an older property and hasn't been updated recently. The beds are comfortable.
The reason for 4 stars is
If you enjoy cooking meals the kitchen is not well equipped. The pots and pans are very old with broken handles on pots and a skillet that sticks when cooking. There are basic items missing. There was no baking sheet or colander, and all the knives were very dull. If you plan to cook outside there is a good grill on the deck but if using the kitchen suggest you bring basic cooking equipment with you.
The furniture in the living room is serviceable but not very comfortable.
Overall, we had a nice visit but updates in the kitchen equipment and more comfortable furniture in the living room would make this a 5-star location

This place was great and was exactly what our family needed. The kitchen is great and the views from the back deck are amazing! Just a short walk to the beach. The house is well-loved, but everything was super clean. Thank you!!

The property was clean, quiet and a nice place to call home while we were there. The views from the backyard were great! Very convenient for all the activities that are on the peninsula. I would definitely recommend for families with kids, and those looking for a relaxing getaway.

Cute little retro cottage with a beach view
We absolutely loved renting this property. It definitely had a retro feel but that’s something we enjoyed about it. It had a fully stocked kitchen and they allowed us to bring out two dogs and it was great having a fully fenced yard for them to run around and play in the grass. The view is absolutely stunning from the patio and there is nothing like it. I can’t recommend it enough even for that alone!

House is outdated but very comfortable. Lots of dishes and silverware. Could not find a corkscrew. The bed was a little to hard for me. Great view. We would stay there again.

It's a nice property with a breathtaking ocean view and a close walk to the beach. It is, however an older home and needs some TLC. Since I was mainly just crashing there for the night after extensive day of visiting national park, it was a perfect retreat for the evening.

Property in very poor condition with lots of deferred maintenance. NOT clean. Very musty odor. There was a dehumidifier running in the kitchen. Opened all the windows to air it out and that helped. The shower was gross and had weak pressure. Faucets broken and difficult to use. Put car blanket over the sofa cause it was so nasty. Looked like a big dog had loved/chewed on it. View is beautiful and bed was comfortable.

The house was conveniently located and we were able to access it easily. The house is also close to grocery stores and some restaurants for sit-down and take out. When we arrived, the lawn had not been mowed and the grass and weed growth continued during our 10-day stay. It was not suitable to walk around the yard with our dogs or by ourselves. The house did have cobwebs, a pee-stain prior to our visit which we cleaned, and towels with holes in them.

Very cute, needs updates
The property is very cute and situated on a cliff type thing overlooking the ocean. There’s a large deck in the back, and it would be awesome if there weren’t also a large tree by that large deck blocking the view of the sunset. The decor inside is a mishmash of styles, probably because it’s from different yard sales, but it adds to the charm. However, there are some area rugs that are neither cute or safe- we tripped on them constantly. The kitchen is well equipped as far as pots, pans, utensils, etc., but the range didn’t function properly. It took 30 minutes almost to fry an egg on the highest heat setting, and several hours to heat up a lasagna. That was a bummer, because we wanted to avoid interacting with others to avoid Covid exposure as much as possible (I’m immune compromised) but unfortunately because of the range we had to get takeout. I considered calling the property manager, but we didn’t want to risk anyone coming in to service things if it wasn’t an emergent need like the sink leaking or that sort of thing (because COVID) .The detergent or fabric softener they use on the linens has a very overwhelming smell, and I’m sure some find it pleasant, but a good idea for a rental space that will be used by all sorts of people is to use a fragrance free detergent. The air fresheners all over the place added to the granny perfume smell, so it was a lovely bouquet of that mildewy smell places by the sea have mixed with the air fresheners and detergent. The front door only locks at the knob, and the deadbolt is not usable because of how the door is hung in the frame.
I think if this place had just some general updates and a thorough cleaning ( the cobwebs in the corners everywhere tell me this doesn’t happen often) it would be absolutely perfect. The price was reasonable, however, and I don’t mean to paint it as if it were intolerable. I just like to leave honest, thorough reviews.
