Amazing stay in an even more amazing location

Het hotel overtrof onze verwachtingen. Alles was zeer proper, communicatie verliep uitstekend en de kamers waren zeer ruim. We konden het heel erg appreciëren dat ze ons kwamen oppikken op het strand toen we toekwamen vanuit Sierpe alsook om ons terug te brengen.

Niets, alles verliep naar wens.

Family stay at Drake Bay

I like all the help that Emmanuel provided in helping us book our ferry ride and all the tours. I liked how our room opened up to a great view. I liked that our accommodations were quiet and comfortable.

There is not much to do in the hotel itself. No activities or amenities, but you spend so much time outdoors that this is no surprise.

Exceeded our Drake Bay expectations

Breakfast was really good! Especially the banana pancakes. Room was lovely, Manuel was proactive, quickly responded to our request for a second night, helpful with our water taxi booking as well as a Corcovado tour, dinner recommendations - exceeded our expectations for a Drake Bay accomodation. Outdoor shower as well as a foot and shoe cleaning station.

Humming fridge - just unplugged it. Could have used screens for the balcony doors?

Very nice hotel on the higher banks of Drake. Spacious and handy room with balcony and view on the lush vegetation.

Good

The hotel is located in a small village at Drake bay. You can reach this place even with 2x4 car, but 4x4 is better in some places. The staff is friendly, communicative and can solve your questions just via Whatsapp. We booked a couple of attractions there and were happy. The hotel is small and with some stairs to climb, but not too many. We had 2 rooms suit with a little bit old-fashioned facilities, but still fine in this place of the world. You can find some interesting place to eat and a couple of shops nearby, the beach is 10 mins walk or 3 mins drive. Breakfast was not perfect, but ok for its money. If you'd like to live in real nature, you'd better rent a place deeper in Corcovado.

In general, everything was fine, but a little bit cheap and easy.

Staff is super friendly and picks you up from the boat. Breakfeast is good.

refrigerator is super loud. Rooms can be noisy when people are on the balcony.

Great hotel, nice people, super clean and with very comfortable beds. Quite sad we only stayed one night as we already had a booking for a second different hotel (with better booking.com ratings). if I would have known, I would have stayed all three nights in Jacamar.

Excellent spacious rooms with terrace and nice view

One of the best rooms we ever had. Big windows with beautiful view. Nice terrace. Very nice smell in the bathroom. Big and spacious. Big comfortable beds. Very close to restaurants (one minute walk).

Good breakfast but the orange juice could be better.

No good location (hike up an unlit dirt road hill), unfortunately no sea view

Great clean room, big balcony but unfortunately no great view (you will just see some other house roofs)

Booking mentioned great location, it is not! You have to hike up a dark dirt road to the top of the hill to have no view Cleaning lady started with the room on top of us making loud noise at 6am this morning (so not possible to sleep in), also 10 am checkout time is quiet early, considering that the first boat leaves at 11.30. We booked a day trip with the hotel but had to walk down the whole dirt road at 5.30 am (no shuttle service even though remote location, same when we checked out this morning at 9.30am, we carried all our luggage all the way down to the boat). However, the pickup at the beginning from the boat was nice Hairdryer had already burn marks

Good for a short stay but overpriced

It's near the restaurants/bars area. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly.

The breakfast was too expansive so we didn't take it. The view from the room is not amazing. So in general, the services are not worth the price.

Comfortable and Relaxing

I stayed in 8 different hotels whilst I was in Costa Rica and this was by far my favourite. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom very stylish. I also loved the sound of the birds in the morning!

For the price, I think the stay was good.

Spacious Balcony with nice green view. I loved sitting there on rainy afternoon after we enjoyed the morning activity. You can enjoy bird watching from the balcony. The staff was very nice and he let me change the room for the better room.

They don't have microwave at the common area. There is very noisy night club and the music and people screaming lasted until almost 3 AM in the morning every night. I could not sleep well.

Great choice in Drake

The room was very good and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. We booked our Corcovado Tour with him (which has the same costs like everywhere). Everything was very good organized (e.g. he picked us up at our arrival with the boat and also dropped of on our departure). We enjoyed the restaurants (Try the Masqueria) nearby and the little bakery. The Balcony was nice and the bed (King size) was the best we had in Costa Rica 😍😁

Very enjoyable stay

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, large balcony to hang out. We got transported to the boat back and forth by the owner/receptionist. The room was large and so was the bathroom.

Air conditioning shouldn’t be positioned over the bed (we had to have it off for the night so that the person sleeping on that would not catch a cold) and it definitely could use some cleaning.

- Emmanuel = the king, always here to help and provide accurate and useful information, especially when it comes to book the tour to corcovado or arrange the trip in boat from Sierpe - the big room = big bed, big bathroom, air conditioner, etc. - proximity with the beach (5-6mn walking) and restaurants

- Maybe the view from the room on the road nearby which has no interest but that’s not really an issue

Perfect location with nice rooms and friendly staff!

The location is perfect, close to restaurants and the beach. The room was beautiful with a nice terrace. We had a problem with the airconditioning that wasn’t working but the Staff was very helpful to fix the problem. They offered us a stay in another hotel nearby until it was fixed. We didn’t accept it because I was too tired to repack again. As a compensation we didn’t need to pay for the 1st night and the day after the AC was fixed already. The breakfast can be served really early so you can still eat before the tour to Corcovado. You can choose between pancakes and the traditional breakfast.
