Decided to book a stay as a friend large family stayed here last year and recommended highly.
Lovely house with everything you need for a great stay. It was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were large, light and airy with comfy mattresses and good quality bedding. The garden was well used by us all and is big enough for football and French cricket, a nice suntrap and we were also visited by deer! The Wi-Fi was fast enough for us to stream movies and the kids to use as well. It's a short drive to Saunton Sands which the kids and dog loved.
We would also all highly recommend, we had a great holiday, thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Braunton Farmhouse. The house was exactly as listed. We had plenty of space and the living areas were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to cater for our group of 6 very easily. The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable as were the bathrooms. The location was brilliant for us - very peaceful but close enough to beaches, countryside walks and local amenities. The welcome pack of suggested place to visit, including pubs and restaurants, was very useful. The welcome 'goodies' were much appreciated after a long drive as well! A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we would certainly recommend it and stay again when in the area.
One suggestion about the main living room would be to mount the TV on the wall above the (non-working) fireplace so that it is in a good position for all to view as some of the sofas get in the way a little. Only a minor suggestion, though!

We have just returned from a week's stay. It was a great week. The location was very good as we wanted to spend our time surfing. We were very grateful for the drying room.
Lovely house, worked really well!

Braunton Farmhouse was the perfect venue for our extended family holiday. It really was a retreat away from the world. The scones on arrival were an unexpected treat after a long journey, as were the beautiful fresh flowers. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. My grandsons were very happy to discover the football goalposts and football. The outside tap facility was great for rinsing the sand off our wetsuits and the dogs’ paws.
We also enjoyed the croquet equipment and jigsaw puzzles. The BBQ and outdoor table and chairs were perfect for a family BBQ and games evening. The children also enjoyed hide and seek. Tesco’s delivered food without any fuss. The views were amazing! All in all a wonderful week away. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so special.

Our extended family spent a week here and we all loved it. The property was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was extremely quiet (apart from the children and the cows in the distance). Every night at nine o'clock we waited to spy the beautiful barn owls (two of them ) emerging from the nearby barn. There was a mole who kept breaking the surface of the lawn. We all loved watching his progress (they tunnel near the surface during droughts). This is the place to go if you love the English countryside. In the evenings we dined outside - the table and chairs accommodated the 10 of us (plus baby) easily. The garden was a wonderful place to just sit and chill. (Bring a book!) The trees afforded pleasant shade during the heat of the day. The only downside was the fact that the lanes approaching the property are very narrow and sometimes the passing places are not where you want them! And traffic in Braunton is always bad. Fine if you are heading north towards Ilfracombe, but if you are heading South or west, be prepared for very heavy traffic during peak periods. This is a wonderful property at a reasonable price, and we loved our annual family holiday in this enchanting house.

Fantastic house for a family holiday
My family (two adults, three teenagers and dogs) had a wonderful stay at Braunton Farmhouse. It’s in a stunning location, out on its own in the countryside and so peaceful but only ten minutes from Braunton and Saunton Sands. It’s very spacious, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. We definitely hope to return!

What a wonderful house!
Such a lovely weekend with family staying at this house.
The best thing about it is definitely it’s garden, it is huge and perfect for games, it spreads around the entire outside of the house too. We took our three dogs who loved it!
The outside seating was perfect (although needs an outside light to be fitted as there isn’t one) we would have stayed outside longer if there was!
The inside is just lovely, two living areas which was perfect for the children. Multiple bathrooms also came in handy!
The bedrooms were fantastic and lovely and spacious.
Just one note, be careful outside if it’s raining, the patio is lethal - we had a few slips!!

Fabulous location!
We really enjoyed our stay, the farmhouse is comfortable and spacious and has everything you need and is in a lovely quiet location. The beach is only a short drive away which was great. We would definitely go back. There was a lovely welcome cream tea for us, which was a nice surprise!

Braunton Farmhouse
Fabulous location, and had everything we needed for our stay there. Great for families, or adults who would like a holiday together, or just a weekend away. Beaches were only 10minutes away. We did feel the fridge may need looking at, as we got milk on the Friday when we arrived, but by Monday it was starting to go off. A very homely feel about the Farmhouse.

Easter Family Holiday
Braunton Farmhouse is in a wonderful location, very quiet and peaceful with lots of space outside for everyone to use. There's room for half a dozen cars to park and a big area for eating outside if the weather is kind.
There are 5 bedrooms of varying sizes. The smaller twins might be a bit of a squeeze but the largest double room is huge and has a massive comfortable bed. One of the bathrooms is upstairs but doesn't have a shower which was a shame. The other bathrooms - a tiny shower room and a large bathroom with shower over the bath (both near the kitchen) functioned well.
There's also a lovely sunny dining room, a sitting room and a snug so lots of options for spreading out around the house.
We thought the property was a little tired with windows needing particular attention. The kitchen isn't as big or modern as it looks in the photos but maybe that means you can make yourselves at home more. There wasn't very much room for food storage though which might be awkward for a big family.
We were able to relax and enjoy the weather, waking each morning to birdsong and beautiful sunny skies. The North Devon coast is easily accessible through the narrow lanes and the coast walks and beaches were stunning.

Great house in a lovely location
We had a lovely stay in the farmhouse, the house and gardens were lovely, with football goals and plenty of parking for the number of guests. The house was very well equipped and only about a 15 minute drive from the sea and Woolacombe beach which was brilliant.

A lovely, quiet spot for our much needed family get together.
We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and remoteness of the house, although roads gettingto and from were an adventure. Very comfortable for our 3 families and plenty of space for dog and the twins to run around outside. More hooks on bathroom doors would have been useful. Small reserve of toilet rolls would be useful too.

Lovely farmhouse with superb views and very well equipped for a family or large group
We found the booking process easy and
agency staff and owner very helpful and available to assist us on the day. We enjoyed our stay and found the accommodation very clean and well equipped. The problem with the washing machine was promptly dealt with.
The large garden was great however we found the paving slabs on the front terrace very slippery when wet or damp and needed care especially for older members of the family and young children. Also although we really liked the property the difficulty of driving through very narrow lanes for every journey during a very busy summer period meant we were rather reluctant to pop out for takeaways or visit a local pubs in the evening.

Lovely well equipped property
Myself and some family members stayed at Braunton Farmhouse at the end of July 2021 for a week. Pleasantly surprised to find Scones, Jam, Clotted Cream and Prosecco awaiting our arrival which was a really lovely touch and much appreciated after a very long journey. The property is lovely, spacious and fabulously well equipped for a pleasant stay and we were lucky with the weather. Lots of equipment provided for outdoor games and plenty of outside space for children to run around. The views and area surrounding the property are outstanding and there is peace and quiet for miles around which makes for a very relaxing stay with plenty of wonderful beaches nearby and villages to explore. The only downside is the accessibility of the property. Being so remote, it is approximately one and a half miles from the town of Braunton up long winding two way single track country lanes with limited passing places. If you are a nervous driver or have a large vehicle you need to be very careful of driving to and from the Farmhouse. The locals are understandably used to these types of country lanes but they were a little tricky to negotiate at times.
Despite this, the property cannot be faulted and I would definitely recommend it to others in the future.

Family Holiday
This is our second stay at Braunton Farmhouse & we had another fabulous family holiday. Lots of space for our children to play. The new TV with Amazon & Netflix was well excellent as well as the new front patio.

Lovely peaceful place to stay
The farmhouse is 10-15minutes drive to Croyde and Woolacombe. Extremely clean. Lovely garden. Very remote, you must have a car, but this made it peaceful and safe for the children to play. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay and the house was just right for us. Only thing was the heating - we have a 1 year old who's room was freezing during the night which disturbed his sleep but we could not work out how to change his room temperature. The sitting room also got very cold in the evening though we had the electric radiator for that which helped.
Otherwise it was lovely thank you so much; we would definitely return - though not if the 5 new barn conversions are built as we enjoyed the privacy. Thanks for everything.

Perfect family house
We found Braunton Farmhouse a perfect place to stay for a few days with our family. Ideally located just a few miles from accessible beaches, it was spacious and well-equipped. Fresh flowers in all the reception rooms, milk in the fridge, and scones with jam and cream as well as Prosecco on arrival made us feel very welcome. We would recommend this highly.

Farmhouse
Booking system and communication were very good. Large Farmhouse lived up to expectations and was in close proximity to many of the North Devon areas we were keen to visit. Linen, towels etc were in excellent condition.
Access to the farmhouse was difficult due to the narrow lanes.

Braunton Farmhouse
We had a lovely summer break, much needed after Lockdown. The house suited us as the big garden was great for the children to run around and be safe, and we were lucky enough with the weather to be able to eat in the garden most days.
We found the kitchen a bit small for 10 of us, as was the fridge. 2 of the bathrooms are downstairs which was a bit inconvenient and the downstairs shower room was very small. The upstairs bathroom would benefit from the addition of a shower.
We loved the location, 15 minutes from Saunton, 20 from Croyde, although the beautiful Devon lanes were a bit of a challenge.
We really appreciated the 'welcome' Devon Scones and clotted cream, thank you.

Spacious house in a tranquil setting
The property is in an excellent location to reach the superb, sandy beaches quickly. Easy access to the Coast path for lovely rambles. Braunton has very good shops and takeaways.
The grounds of the house are spacious and ideal for children to run free. A bonus having two sitting rooms and two dining areas.
There was a plentiful supply of hot water.
The beds were very comfortable and good drawer space for storage. Excellent parking facilities.
The views around the Farmhouse were wonderful and my grandson commented he felt 'very close to nature'

New Year stay
We have a lovely stay over new year. The house in its own grounds away from any other houses. The house can comfortably seat 8 people in the main lounge and 3 in the small lounge. The dining table can sit 10 at a squeeze. Bedrooms are comfortable. The kitchen could do with more mugs and serving dishes, The bathrooms are present but suffer from condensation.
The host was very nice and provided all we needed.
It was lovely to have cream and scones with champagne on arrival.

Brilliant house for a family (+dogs) Christmas
Loads of space for 9 adults and 2 dogs - the lounge, dining room, and kitchen were all big enough to seat everyone. Short drive to Braunton and a selection of amazing beaches, but absolutely no traffic noise! From the windows all you can see is green fields. The kitchen coped admirably with Christmas dinner.
Minor niggles - bit of a mudbath outside (it did rain a lot the week before we went); the wifi was patchy and slow (some of us thought this was a good thing); moderate condensation problem in the bathrooms.
Overall we loved it, and would happily spend another Christmas there.

Braunton Farmhouse provides very special Family Holiday accomodation in beautiful, quiet countryside
We were a family of 6 adults and 4 children (5-10 yrs). We booked Braunton Farmhouse via My Favourite Cottages. Their service was good and the agent was generally very responsive.
Now about Braunton Farmhouse... a large, old farmhouse that was simply idyllic. The accommodation was excellent - very comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. All necessary services were provided. The setting was incredible and so quiet! Having come from the “City” the children loved the space, the freedom to run around and explore, and to play games on the extensive lawns. Views from the house and close-by hills were stunning – a short walk up one of the hills allowed us to look down on Saunton Sands, the Burrows and the Taw estuary. The resident Barn Owl, who left home at 8.30 every evening, was an unexpected delight.
The owner, Fiona, was extremely helpful and responsive; visiting the property to ensure we could find stuff and calling out the BT engineer when the TV signal was weak. The adults loved the peace and quiet and beauty of the surrounding Devon countryside. There were three beautiful sandy beaches within easy access from the house – the kids especially enjoyed the sand dunes! Access to these is probably best by car; but be aware, some of the roads are typical narrow Devon lanes. For cyclists there are many well-used local routes – roads and the spectacular Tarka Trail. For those who want to eat out the Rock at Georgeham was excellent. All in all we had an active, restful and very special holiday. All agreed it was one of the best - we will certainly be coming back.

An excellent venue for a large group
We had a wonderful time here for four nights. Eight of us who walk together came to enjoy North Devon and the house is in an excellent position to visit the North Devon coast at Braunton/Woolacombe/ Mortehoe. Highly recommended.

A highly recommended home for a family holiday
The farmhouse was the perfect location for us (three families), a quiet location near the north Devon beaches. It enabled us to have a lovely holiday together. From the scones and lovely fresh flowers on arrival to the provision of extra items when required (we needed a second high chair and cot) nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely stay and may well come again! We would highly recommend this Braunton Farmhouse.

A lovely homely Farm that’s fits family holidays
The property was in a secluded location off a lane and down a single track.
It was located approx 1.5 mile from Braunton with its pubs, shops, restaurants and other essential facility’s. Croyde, Woolacombe & Saunton Sands are a must visit and all have areas that are pet friendly 🐕🐕
We stayed as a joint family group of 10 + 1 small dog and had a fantastic time, not only was the accommodation lovely & spacious but the outdoor patio & large lawn area was large enough to play family rounders with space to spare which, was complimented with a BBQ which was used due to the fantastic weather.
The support off the booking staff & owner was also fantastic with information on local pubs, beaches and attractions to suit all budgets and tastes.
