Situated in Deep Creek Lake, this lovely cabin for R 6,704 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This recently updated 1960’s bungalow was one of the original properties on Harvey's Peninsula Rd, owned by the Harvey sisters. It's stone and wood charm combined with lake views and the wooded setting are the perfect ingredients for a mountain lake getaway! It's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and full size pull out couch, which have all been recently updated, will sleep 9 people easily. The large kitchen, which has been recently remodeled opens into the great room and overlooks the deck and Deep Creek Lake. There's not a better place to start your mornings! During the warmer months, all doors and windows are fitted with screens to be able to enjoy that crisp mountain air, as there is no A/C. Some of the house's features include; all new luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout, wood burning stove, baseboard heat, full stainless appliances, ceiling fans in each room, Smart TVs in each bedroom with included NETFLIX capable of being used on all 4 tv's at once (There is no cable TV!) fast Wifi, fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking desires- including a Keurig, regular coffee pot, blender, toaster, propane grill, large newly re modeled composite deck with safety railing, plenty tables and chairs, fire pit with chairs, spacious parking area, walkway with steps that lead to our large dock and reclining chairs. We do accept a maximum of (2) dogs, and ask that you are diligent about cleaning up after them. There is a non refundable pet fee, as we have had irresponsible pet owners in the past. We do not allow any pets other then dogs! There are also 2 boats docked/parked at the house and they are not to be uncovered or tampered with as they are for our personal use only, we do not rent them out. However there is 2 kayaks available to use, with access weather the dock is in or not. Dock is only guaranteed to be in in June 1- October 1, however dates do fluctuate (Normally is in beginning of May and out the end of Oct.) Conveniently located to all that Deep Creek has to offer yet, far enough from the hustle and bustle to really feel like you can escape it all. We are 9 miles from Wisp Ski Resort and about 4 miles from several popular restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and other attractions.

This was a perfect place to gather with our daughter and her family. With a 4 year old and two month old, we stayed at the house a lot. The weather was quite rainy and chilly so we were grateful for a clean, comfortable cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed a camp fire one evening and enjoyed exploring the yard. The peaceful setting was an easy drive to restaurants and state parks. Everything we needed was available and the beds were very comfortable. The large open room was perfect for toys and playing. We appreciated Matt’s availability when we had one question. We’d love to return again in the future.

The floors and counters were clean but otherwise everything could use a deep scrub. Windows were filthy. For how much you pay, i expected it to be much cleaner. Only gave us one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom which is unacceptable. We stayed in late august, luckily it wasnt any hotter or it would of been terrible. Very warm even with 70 degree days.

We had a relaxing time with our family during 4th of July week. The house met all of our needs and it was nice to have our fur-babies along. I did miss that the house didn't have AC despite it being in the listing..but it really wan't a problem because there are ceiling fans in every room, trees providing shade and cool breezes from the Lake. Matt was super responsive to any questions that we had. We would definitely rent again!

Only two negatives from an otherwise perfect stay: 1) there were no life jackets in the hall closet for the kayaks...we looked everywhere; and 2) the closure of Glendale Road with the long detour around was a surprise and it would have been helpful to know in advance of arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay at Hemlock Haven.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving staying in this cute bungalow. A very comfortable layout, and the beds were actually comfortable to sleep on! Really nice furnishings and everything you need to cook. I'm a huge fan of Harvey's Peninsula as well because there are places to walk. And the view of the lake was beautiful! Would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin was very nice, clean and everything you could need. The laundry service is a nice touch, plenty of linens and towels. We stayed the third week of September and it was very quiet. The cabins are close in proximity to each other, but we had the area to ourselves most of the time being off season., which we loved. The only thing I would recommend for the owners is to have handrails outside (from slider doors to deck/patio and the rocky steps into the yard). We had our mother with us whom is 80 and would've been quite nervous for her to go out on her own even though there are only a few steps. Other than that, the place is wonderful. They take care of their property and we enjoyed ourselves. Nice place for our dogs too! Our golden enjoyed swimming and the outdoor hose was an added bonus for us to bathe her afterwards. The driveway is a nice short walk for the dogs and the loop around the peninsula is a good walk as well. We all had a very comfortable stay and such a nice view! Close to all shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay again if we travel to that area.

This location was everything we were hoping for - a charming cabin-feel home and naturalistic setting close to everything we wanted to do in our 3 night stay. The older cottage feel home is charming with classic lines and a perfect view of the lake. Easy access to the dock and short drives to local attractions kept us all entertained. We had the perfect weather for mid-August; which is great since there is no air conditioning. Ceiling fans and open screened windows kept us at the perfect temperature. Kayaking, swimming off the dock, renting a boat and hiking all kept us busy and entertained until we returned home for dinner, games and a campfire - perfect!

The Property was nice and plenty of space for my family. We stayed in the summer and I did not know it was not air conditioned. I did not see it listed on property sheet. Even though it was in wooded area it was still a bit warm for August. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. But my children and I did have a great time lake side
