Our family loved our week-long stay at Tikitere. The house is modern, comfortable, warm, private and, as others have commented - is in a stunning location. Had absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere throughout the house. Has access to an adorable small sandy beach, and a boat jetty - we ventured to the nearby hot pools via lake every day. The BBQ, trampoline, kayaks and rowboat were a bonus, and there was plenty to keep our 4yr old daughter busy. Great prompt communication from the host who was accommodating and flexible. Very highly recommended. We'll be back for sure!

We were all really impressed by the house and the location. There were stunning views and access to the lake was very easy. We tied up the boat to the jetty for a few days while there. Super close to the hotpools. Would definitely recommend staying here!!!

We enjoyed the stay with our fur baby. The secluded location is a perfect getaway from busy city life. I would advise to come prepared and bring all you need. We enjoyed cooking all our meals in the modern kitchen. The open plan living area has mesmerizing view of the lake. Highly recommend to walk down to the private jetty to watch the sunrise. The views there were out of the world!

If you want a really relaxing stay away from home this place is it, almost a brand new house with great appliances and comfy furniture, great drive into the place through a forest and it’s private , sunny and quite. Totally recommend, happy with the price but the costs for cleaning I thought was a bit rich. No regrets

Perfect family property

A perfect place for the whole family, whatever your energy levels! We wake boarded, swam, paddle boarded and kayaked. We also lazed on the deck and read books, played board games or sat enjoying the amazing view. The beach was very safe for the kids and they enjoyed the trampoline and having space to ride their bikes. Michele was fantastic to deal with - great communication and information

This place is magical, sitting up on the clifftop with excellent view facing almost north, it was easy to launch the boat and tie up at the jetty, and accessories this form the house. The house itself it well appointed and and the kitchen living, dining area and the wide expanse of doors to the deck make it very easy indoor out flow. Definitely want to go back again.

Family from Tahiti turned up at short notice and wanted to visit Rotorua. I was able to book this gem despite the short notice (very grateful). The family were blown away by the location and we had a wonderful time relaxing here after our tiki touring each day. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Fabulous spot on the lake, perfectly situated between the hot pools and Okere Falls. It took us a few minutes by water in the mornings to go to Okere Falls cafe for a great coffee. The Bach itself is lovely and having three bathrooms was very useful . We couldn’t fault it, our guests from the UK were blown away. The hot pools are only a few minutes away by water and although now more commercial than when we started going 30years ago, (not to mention more expensive at $20 each) it’s still a must visit. I honestly couldn’t fault our stay. The tuis in the trees singing each morning were wonderful. We will be back.

What a beautiful house. New, spacious, clean, perfect layout for two families with kids. Second lounge was perfect for the kids. Kitchen had heaps of cutlery, tableware and cups. Outside is a big deck and lawn. The kids enjoyed ball games and didn't mind to walk down the steps to the lake to get the ball back a couple of times :) Nearby boat ramp has got easy access. Great place to relax. Getting up before sunrise to listen to the amazing birds and to look over the lake is a must. Thumbs up!!

The view from the property is beautiful. It has great access to the boat ramp. The house itself is modern and clean, and had almost everything we needed. There were a few small issues like the dryer did not work, and the bar b q was difficult to connect up, but I have emailed the owner regarding these things, so hopefully will be rectified soon. The property is slightly remote (access via a forestry road) which we enjoyed. We would choose to stay there again.
