My friends and I enjoyed our stay, the owner was very awesome.

It’s advertised to sleep 22; one room has two sets of bunk beds and enough space to walk between the wall & bed. No table to seat everyone for meals, do puzzles, play board games, etc. Kitchen is poorly appointed; non-stick pans scratched on bottom and not 22 place settings. The sectional was awful.

House is in a great location and 4 rating because we had such a good time despite the expectations created on the website. Housekeepers did not clean well (i.e. dirty diaper under bunks), but surfaces were clean. Kitchen and baths def not sufficiently furnished for 22 people. Owner replaced some living room furniture in the middle of our visit, so the seating was much better the last 2 nights. Property definitely not "brand new" and not suitable for 22 people as advertised. While it's true there are enough beds, 2 queen bunks are in an alcove without room to walk around (literally) or store anything. Zero way 8 people could/would sleep there. The owner's response was "technically accurate" but there should only be one queen bunk in there!! The kitchen table and chairs are NOT in the alcove as pictured on the website. So there is indoor meal seating for only 12 folks. The house would be GREAT for a group of 8-10 adults and a few kids; suggest re-rating what it's capacity is to avoid the issues we experienced. Also suggest correcting the photos and the house description to reflect what currently exists. To confirm, I had checked with owner in advance to be sure it would work and provided accurate information about the size and age make-up of our group..

My family had a great time on vacation. It has a really nice location to the beach. However, The property had some issues. The owner stayed in contact and was very apologetic. The beds were really nasty but comfortable. There was a rotten pizza left in a drawer on the bar. The ac drain stopped up and dripped through the ceiling on my grand daughter. Then the day before we left my daughter found a pill and after googling found it to be an oxy. My grand baby could have easily picked it up. A few door knobs were ready to fall off. The porch railing was really loose and is a liability issue as well as some broken with nails sticking up. I believe the owner is getting ripped off with the cleaning crew. The house itself could be a really nice place. The living room suit was nasty and broken.

Location was ideal. Views were surreal. Dauphin island will be a new regular destination for our family, however, we may choose to stay at another property. The house was lovely but it seems the cleaners were in quite a hurry to get themselves out and get us checked in. The beds were unkempt and sheets seemed unwashed, the silty floors and rugs seemed unattended to perhaps because the vacuum was damaged and not in working condition. There was a broom, just no dustpan to accompany it. Lightbulbs out, no working batteries in remotes, clogged guest bathroom sink, and sticky-rusted doorknobs made for slight inconveniences, but the broken picket on the porch and a board pulling up with screws on it seemed slightly more important when vacationing with small children. All in all, our stay was pleasant and the homeowner seemed compliant and involved, but I think he may just need new cleaners and a thorough walk-through to keep the property in great shape.

And naturally there is a cleaning fee so...There was a significant water leak in one of the bathrooms which the owner was aware of as well. They could also use an exterminator. All in all, for the price it was disappointing. 😕

Our stay at the Beach House was an enjoyable one. I loved drinking my coffee in the morning on the wrap around deck with the view of the Gulf and the wonderful breeze. Just a short treck to the beach. Our eight grandchildren head a blast.

Everything in the description was right, it looked even better when we went. We were all adults and we had enough room for everyone to sleep. It was easy to go to the beach. Absolutely loved the beach view in two of the bedrooms. Love the deck it went around the whole building.

I would come back with my family again to stay here. Very clean, neat, calm and with astute privacy . All amenities for a family stay. Enjoyed right across the beach stay. Very glad that we chose this rental

Even though it’s 4 houses in, it felt like beach-front. We enjoyed coffee on the porch with a perfect, full view of the water. Owner was especially helpful and communicative the week leading up to our trip (we had a lot of fears about a hurricane in the gulf). I’m so glad he gave us some good facts. We would have missed out if we had bailed— the weather was great! We had kids in both bunk rooms— none complained. The adult rooms were great. The kitchen had what we needed (we always bring paper plates— no one wants to do dishes on vacay!). All in all we all agreed it was a great respite and we would rent this house again!

1st time I have used VRBO. VRBO experience - kept communicating using incorrect email even though my preferred email was listed. RENTAL- needed large space, wanted clean space due to Covid concerns. Check in went smoothly. Cleanliness poor! Beer cans under bed, sand in tubs, dirt/grime in bathrooms and on kitchen countertops, bedspreads in 2 rooms had dog urine stains so took them off immediately. Master clean, room with barn door needs to open more, couches filthy. Beds comfortable. Stovetop cracked but able to cook. Few "starter" towels literally found as if thrown in bathroom cabinet, no towels in 2 bathrooms. Dryer took 3 cycles to dry. TV didn't work in 2 rooms. Outside furniture nice., 2 couch areas. Outside hose available to rinse sand off. Have to bring butane if grilling. LOCATION: very close to beach, plenty of parking. Not a location to pick if disabled - 25 steep stairs to get up to house. TRAVEL INSURANCE: a must.. hurricane came during our stay- we left the morning the weather shifted toward the Gulf. Insurance reimbursed for time missed on reservation. OVERALL: with some further attention to cleaning service and linens, this rental would have been more enjoyable.

It is a very nice house, very clean. It would have been nice if there was a hall bath. The family members in the front bunk room had to go through someone else's bedroom to use the bathroom. Also the barn door on the front bunk room kept falling off when it was opened too far. I don't know if it was installed wrong or what but it was very dangerous for the little ones in our family. Needs to be fixed asap. Also, needs more seating in living room, maybe a love seat in the corner where you have a small table. Overall a good experience.

House was nice and location was great. House is listed that it can sleep 22 people- which is true. However, there were not enough towels, toilet paper, paper towels, or soap to accommodate that many people. Our trip ended up being just 9 people so we made it okay, but in the future would bring ALL of our own supplies. Also, kitchen was not very stocked with pans, dishes, etc. I can't imagine what it would have been like if we would have had more people in the house. Pictures don't quite depict the reality, as there is one room that is solely bunkbeds and barely any room to even walk. Would be good for kids space, but don't expect adults to stay comfortably in there. Otherwise, house and beach were nice.
