Enjoyed my stay with 4 other couples. Great to find a place with 5 bedrooms with similar setup. Easy check-in and check-out. We walked downtown for dinner and to catch the lakeside trolley (also awesome and very affordable) to visit wineries/breweries and a distillery (6 stops). Plenty of open space on the main floor kitchen/living room area where we generally hung out. Enough parking for 5 vehicles (3 that where large Trucks/SUVs). Each bedroom had own heater so could adjust to your liking-they also all had ceiling fans and quite spacious. Awesome deck, though didn’t get to enjoy that as much as it was rainy and on the cold side-but was very large.
Kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils, dishware, cookware and cleaning products. I do wish there were more large towels in the bathroom -but overall everything was great and recommend.

Perfect location - close to the State Park for an amazing morning hike through the gorge. Centrally located to all the choice wineries and different lakes. Walkable to town for food and late-night frolicking. Would definitely stay again when back in the area.

Check in and out process easy to follow. Location centralized - walking distance to state park. House itself is big for a larger group with 5 bathrooms.

We loved the property and it's location! It was nice to see over the town and a little water.
Unfortunately the cleanliness was lacking.

We were in town for a wedding and my sister and her family stayed in the house next door (which was almost a twin of our house). We moved between the houses and just had the best time! Furniture was comfortable. Looks just like the pictures. We loved overlooking the town. Wish it had been warmer so we could sit on the generously sized deck. We walked into town and had a wonderful lunch. We walked in Watkins Glen park and its beauty is inspiring! Some family visited wineries and breweries and enjoyed themselves. This was our fourth trip to the area and we would be happy to stay in this house again.
I was glad that I brought my own pillow, though no one else had a problem with the pillows. There were only two dish towels in the kitchen for the weekend. I would have like to have had 2 more (though I admit I did not call to see if they would have gotten us a couple more). I was pleasantly surprised that the Teflon on the pans were all in good condition – that seldom happens in a rental!

We had a great time. Walked everywhere we needed to go and used a car service for the wine tours. House had everything we needed!

The location and view were awesome but the cleanliness was not great. Our feet were black from walking on the floor. The oven was totally disgusting! Would not use it. The rugs really need to be cleaned also. Just a suggestion but towel racks are needed in the bathrooms. We had a great time tho.

Location: Under 5 minute walk to Watkins Glen State Park and downtown Watkins Glen. Under 5 minute drive to Walmart for any of your needs.
House: Main floor was spacious and had seating for 8 at kitchen table and about 6 in the living room space. 4 Adirondack chairs and table for 6 available on the deck (which has a beautiful view of Seneca Lake and the surrounding area).
Main floor had a bedroom that did not have AC and felt warmest of the bedrooms. A half bathroom was on that floor to accommodate that bedroom. Upstairs had a common space with a TV and three large bedrooms (all had AC. One master bathroom and one bathroom for the other two rooms on that level.
Lower level had one bedroom (no AC but cool) with a master bathroom plus another full bathroom down the hall.
The house was so spacious and the number of bathrooms was really nice for our group of 11! The teens in the main floor bedroom with no AC thought the room was warm, but there was a ceiling fan and overall didn’t seem to be a big issue.
Other pros: coffee pot with filters, toaster oven, lots of mugs, glasses, plates, utensils. Being able to walk everywhere was nice. Lots of parking right in front of the house.

This house suited our needs perfectly and was a great place to stay. I would recommend it to large groups who want to enjoy their stay in Watkins Glen!

As advertised
This house was the perfect rental. It had all of the basic amenities, it was clean, and had ample beds and bathrooms. It was also in a nice location near the main street in Watkins Glen and within walking distance to the state park. I do have to echo what some previous renters mentioned - the towels are pretty bad and there weren't enough. I'd recommend bringing your own. Sheets were fine. We had some trouble sliding one of the screen doors open on the upper deck, but otherwise everything was in working order. Would be nice if they added a washer/dryer and some towel rods in each bathroom.

Spacious, clean, great location
Out 1st experience using VRBO and visiting the Finger Lakes. We had wonderful time in Watkins Glen. The property location was excellent. Within walking distance to the main street, restaurants, the harbor, and Watkins Glen Start Park. The accommodations were perfect for 5 couples. Enough space to share and to separate. Courtney, the property manager, was easy to work with and quick to respond to my questions and concerns, We would stay again.

Overall wonderful stay
The house is huge! Property was clean and the views from the upstairs balcony were really nice. We spent a lot of time out there.
We were all there for a weekend driving school at WGI, and it was a hot and humid weekend. There were only two bath towels per bedroom, so a few more towels would have been nice. Especially with as often as we were all showering. A couple of extra kitchen towels would also be helpful.
There were a couple of small issues that I will be reporting directly to the property management company, so hopefully they'll be fixed for the next group.
1) The grill was unusable: Rusty, filthy, and no propane so it wouldn't light. There was also a small charcoal grill, but it wasn't big enough for all of us. Fortunately, we hadn't purchased food for our planned cookout, so we just adapted.
2) The toilet in the main floor half bath didn't flush. You had to remove the tank lid to flush it. (My husband fixed it I think)
3) The door handles need some maintenance: Basement main bedroom door doesn't latch and upstairs main bedroom door handle came off in my hand.
With all things taken into consideration, I would stay here again.

The place was what I expected. And I couldn’t believe how close it was to Watkins Glen trail. There were plenty of dishes and I love that there was a propane grill. The only issue with the place was that there was no hair dryer, Which was the only inconvenience.

Great place
Everything about this location is how it's listed. Very clean and contemporary. My only MINOR complaint is that there were not enough towels for 10 people, but one some of our group couldn't make it and we only had 8 so it was fine. We will definitely be staying here again!

Slider in middle bedroom downstairs leaks from the top. The heaters in 2 bedrooms didn’t work. Need to have more and better towels. Need to have cleaning supplies.

Nice location and spacious house for multiple families
We had plenty of space for two families of 4 in this house and the layout was great. Walking distance to the state park and restaurants and ice cream!

Room for improvement
Lovely town, great location in walking distance of the lake, shops and restaurants. The house was nice and open, and we appreciated the 3 levels for such a big group. The minimalist decor/furniture was convenient since we had toddlers in our group. The kitchen was minimally stocked for cooking, but had plenty of plates, bowls, and glasses for our group of 10.
The place was visibly dirty when we arrived, with only a broom available on site. The linens were extremely cheap/thin, and there were no hand towels in the bathrooms or kitchen. There were no towel hooks/racks, and in one closet, no rods, just a few hangers on the door handle. The laundry room without a washer or dryer taunted us. We had bugs in the basement the entire week,

Beautiful home in Watkins Glen
Let me start by saying all the good things -
1. Very Clean and all brand new interior
2. Fabulous location (close/walking distance to everything)
3. Amazing view of Watkins Glen and part of Seneca Lake
4. Property manager easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to questions
5. Easy check in and check out
6. Even prettier and more spacious than pictures show
7. Hope to visit again and stay in same house!
Now for reasons for overall 4 star review (would really be 4.5 if I could give half stars!) with such great Pros
1. No washer/dryer which became a bit of a problem because there were too few towels and we couldn’t wash them in house (and towels were small and thin)
2. Sheets were pretty cheap (not very comfortable)
3. Closets don’t have rods to hang up clothes (2 do have them, the rest do not)

Watkins Glen Weekend
Honestly my guests and I had a great time. The house was beautiful and there was plenty of space for additional guests. We had 8 total people staying for a weekend exploring Seneca Lake wineries. The location felt safe and was a great view from the decks. The only downside was the floors and bathrooms were slightly dirty. Also the downstairs electric in the hallway and main bedroom lights would keep flipping the breaker and wouldn't reset. The heat also did not not work in two of the downstairs bedrooms. Overall they were minor details. We would happily stay here again and would recommend the house for anyone looking to visit Seneca Lake

Perfect location and beautiful house!
We had a group of people for a weekend wine tour. This house was BEYOND gorgeous and amazing. It is very modern and there was more than enough room, full large bathrooms, and beds for everyone. This house is also within a short walk to the center of Watkins Glen and the bars, restaurants and shops. Love this property and can't wait to come back again!

House is as pictured
The house was new. It was good for several couples. We had 5 couples. The layout is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs and the same downstairs. There is one bedroom on the main floor with a half bath. Plenty of dishes and glasses. We would definitely rent this house again. The owner was easily acceptable.
