If I could give it zero I would.. The home is in need of updates and a deep clean. The pool was so cloudy and full of debris you couldn’t see the bottom, the pump makes a horrid noise and never shuts off, towels were old, smelled sour and were “ crunchy” , rugs are stained, floor had crushed debris stick to it, fridge filthy, oven caked with dirt, black mold visible on kitchen window sill that was crooked in frame and didn’t close ( off by a few inches on right), back porch door looks like it had been kicked in, and porch wood looks like it could give way under weight, a hose ran from side of house across a concrete pad and was stuck in the intake of pool ( and had two plastic chairs over it to indicate it was a fall hazard) mold on stairs made them slippery, key lock box unable to be opened. Stained cushions on furnishings inside, and outside the rust left sharp edges that if used would cut you( and require a tetanus shot)I asked owner to come to home he refused to address issues. VRBO live chat was disconnected 3 times and were of no help to address issues, or help me find another place to stay ( eventually found a stunning home that was spotless and had a great stay) I didn’t stay here, was told by Peter the owner that there were no refunds, yet refused to come to address the issues … steer clear of this house. On the positive note, when the owner did answer calls he was polite, just wouldn’t come to address issues. I’ve used VRBO for about 4yrs and never had this before

We had the best time in this perfectly located IOP house. It was so charming and the perfect fit for our family!

Awesome location, walking distance to all things Aisle of Palms.

We stayed here for a bachelorette trip. It was the ideal location for a girls weekend (steps from the beach and a short walk to bars/restaurants). The check in process was a little tough at first due to an outdated lock box, so we had to wait for someone to arrive to assist with opening the door. Despite that, the communication was very prompt during that struggle, which was reassuring. Overall, the house had plenty of room and it was a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend this house to someone else.

This property met all of our expectations. The house is a little outdated but we enjoyed it so much. The bathrooms have been remodeled. The location… well honestly we could not have asked for anything better. Just a walk to the beach, walk to some shops, walk to some restaurants. And the pool was amazing for those days we didn’t want to be on the beach. We loved it so much we booked for next year as soon as we got home!

Love the quiet beaches of Isle of Palms. Large house with pool to accommodate everyone. Easy beach access. AC broke but was repaired promptly by owner. Peter was easy to contact when needed. Thanks for a great stay!

This house was a comfortable situation for our family of 10 gathering. Homey, with thouches of the owners history in the home. Upgraded bedrooms and
bathrooms were nice. Very clean; well stocked kitchen; wonderful rocking chair front porch; private pool area; terrific beach access. Of all the beach houses we have rented, we would definitively come back here.

Very pleasant stay. Only got to use the pool one day. A storm prior to our stay had littered the pool.

The house was in a great location for beach access and restaurants , especially for our young children.

Perfect stay with family for a long weekend.

Our 3rd or 4th year renting this home. Bathrooms and bedrooms have been nicely upgraded. Kids love having a pool and the beach path is directly in front of house and the littles have learned to cross ocean Blvd by themselves over the past few years. Perfect house for a family

A friend describes this VRBO as the “nicest rental he’s had.” Typical beach house, nothing fancy but amazing layout, gorgeous porch and prime location! Host was super helpful! We loved it!

We had a blast at this home for a girls’ weekend! It was a short walk to the beach as well as IOP restaurants and bars. The home comfortably slept 8 of us and we had more than enough room in the kitchen and dining room! Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our trip (as we always do) to Isle of Palms! The house is so close to town, but it is old and needs some updates/renovations. The windows are old and don’t close well. The pool was well used.

Wonderful location! This was absolutely the cleanest place we have stayed at! The house is older, but immaculate and has everything you need.

Good property for rent. Fit our needs perfectly. Good contact with owner. No problems during stay. Great location. Easy walk to shops and dining.

Big bedrooms with nice mattresses. Large kitchen space and two dining areas that seat 12. Comfortable sitting area under the house with privacy. Large front porch with rockers and plenty of tables and chairs. Close to everything with a very short walk to the beach across the street. We didn’t use the pool. Lots of towels, blankets and beach chairs. Highly recommend!

Fantastic value and convenience! The home is located just steps from a beach access point, and a short walk to the Windjammer, Coconut Joe's and other IOP attractions. We had 7 adults in our group and had ample space for sleeping, eating, and relaxing. The front porch is lovely, and the home is well stocked. Mattresses were super comfortable, and we had access to everything we needed during our stay. The inground pool also looks great, ideal for warmer months.

Loved the location of this house. It was nice to have access to everything in walking distance. Peter was easy to reach whenever needed. The house could have been a little cleaner but overall was a great experience.

The location was perfect. Beach access is directly across the street from the house. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. The main areas of the house were clean. Overall, the house was fine but it is slightly rundown. The pool was a little cloudy, water damage on the ceiling/walls of one of the bedrooms, the air vents are extremely dirty. The back deck seems to need some TLC (no stairs down to the pool from the deck, etc). The location made up for the house being a little run down. The house had a good amount of towels and beach chairs which was very nice. Overall - we enjoyed our stay. For the price/location, you can’t beat it.

My family has fallen in love with Isle of Palms and we just spent out second summer vacation in this cute house. It is not the fanciest house but it is cozy and has the absolute best location. We spend our time walking across the street to the beach, back to use the outdoor shower, then jumping in the pool in the back yard. We love being able to walk down to restaurants and bars. The front porch is my favorite area and you can hear the bands playing at The Windjammer on weekend nights. My kids have already asked to come back again next year.

Overall great experience, the property is what I picture a beach house/vacation spot to be like with rustic charm. Great size for our family with plenty of areas to sit inside and out. Showers by the pool and side were handy for rinsing off inevitable sand.

Overall my friends agreed that we enjoyed staying here. The location was perfect. The owner, Peter was nice. About the house... Like all the other reviews state, the house is in need of some repairs and updates. The floors were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. But the pool area needs lounge chairs. The kitchen needs a single cup coffee maker. The bathrooms were adequate enough. Plenty of pillows. The owner supplies plenty of paper products and toilet tissue, dish soap, trash bags and laundry detergent, although I brought all of this. Although the living room furniture looked old it was comfortable but wish the TV was bigger and wish there were TV's in the bedrooms. There are 2 refrigerators, one in the kitchen and one downstairs. The downstairs bathroom could use a cleaning of the floor and cobwebs. I don't recommend using the back deck. It looks old and very unsafe. It needs replacing and stairs need to be added to add access to the backyard. Very strong musty smell in the house. I also would have liked ceiling fans on the front porch. The pool guy came on Wednesday and didn't clean the grim around the 2 filters. Wish there were better instructions on how to open the lock that holds the house key and would recommend 2 keys be left for guest to use. There were 6 to 7 of us ladies who didn't always go everywhere together. The listing said check-out was at 11, but in the book that's near the TV, it said that check-out was at 10, so the last person in my group left by 9:45. Overall I would recommend this place because of price and location. You get what you pay for.

We had a great stay at this location in Isle of Palms. Although, the basketball goal listed in photos is not available. Also, the showers by pool do not work.
The location was perfection and there was plenty of room for our party of 10.

At first I was very skeptical. The owner took a lot of time getting back to me about locating the key to access the premises. When he finally did, I had a lot of trouble unlocking the case due to rust. Once we did this it was awesome. The house was spacious and clean. Access to tge Beach is directly across the street (1 minute walk). The house has extra beach towels, bath towels, plastic utinsils and spices. It was great. We had a grea time.

House was in the perfect location. Easy access to the beach. Pool was perfect with a napping baby. A pack n play or crib would have been a plus.

All of the accommodations were perfect for our family and group size. A couple of the listing details need to be updated, but they really didn't affect our visit. Very friendly neighbors. The beach access was right across the street. Definitely couldn't beat the location or the price. Hoping to stay here again! Everyone is begging to go back!

You can tell from the photos that the property needs updating. The furniture is worn down and there is mold on the air vents. However, the location is amazing, 1 block from the beach and walking distance to cafes, bars and restaurants. You are surrounded by 5 and 6 million dollar homes. I loved sitting in the rocking chairs having coffee in the morning while listening to the ocean. The private pool needs some fixing, but it is so nice to have. One of the outdoor showers doesn't work, and bring a hairdryer, as the house doesn't provide one. I heard that the owner is renovating the property this fall, so get in now before the price doubles or more!
