Mold, Mouse Poop, Dirty, Rundown & Cockroaches
We rented this unit for a weekend stay on the lake with our 8 year old daughter. We entered the unit where we were going to stay and of course looked around. The shower was extremely dirty and not cleaned from the prior guests and had used toiletries. We also saw dead cockroaches on the floor. We decided to walk down to the lake where we were told by the owner that we could use the kayaks and paddle boards with our daughter on the lake. It was very rundown with cobwebs along the path to the water and we looked at the kayaks and they had mouse poop on them along with the life jackets that were also moldy. There was no way we could use the equipment and our daughter was very disappointed. If you advertise you have equipment to use you should maintain it so it can be. This rental is run down and dirty, it should not be rented out. We immediately called evolve, took a few pictures and left and had to find a last minute Mariott for the weekend. Evolve is not a great company to deal with. We were very patient and waited for them to resolve the situation. After two weeks they offered a future travel credit for a 1/4 of what we paid and will not refund us for a place we never stayed in. I would not suggest renting this unit or renting from evolve.

This was our first time visiting Lake Murray and will not be our last. This property is located in a great neighborhood and offers great access to the lake.

Most Comfortable Carolina Graduation
Our goal: Attend the U of SC graduation but find a place to stay to avoid the downtown Columbia crowds associated with graduation weekend. This place provided us with a mini-vacation on during our celebratory weekend.
While I (the father of the graduate) was able to enjoy kayaking on Lake Murray the walk from the abode to the lake was too steep for my parents, who were content to sit on the deck and listen to the birds while sitting under the canopy provided by the shady trees that surrounded the property.
Place was priced right and made for a most enjoyable stay.

Nice getaway
We were there fishing lake Murray and it worked great for that. I however wouldn’t plan my family vacation here. Parking my 20 foot bass boat was a little tight but doable. The studio itself had lots of amenities and comfy beds. The walk to the lake is only about 50 yards but the path has seen its better days. Dock and gazebo are both very nice.

This place was quite convenient to the sailing club, less than a 10 minute drive. We basically used the space as a bedroom, breakfast room and lunch prep room.

Beautiful, quiet spot for a weekend with my grandsons. The gazebo by the lake was a perfect spot for bird watching and reading! The kitchen had many unexpected conveniences-all made for a relaxing weekend. Thank you!

Just OK!
Their dock was in disrepair! Living quarters were clean, but they sure could use handles and nobs on all of their cabinets and drawers!

Comfortable and super friendly hosts
The “cottage” is cute and comfortable, well outfitted with ceiling fans, a large HD tv, and super comfy beds. The hosts were hospitable, and quickly and thoroughly responded to the couple minor issues we had. We would stay there again and would like to take in more of the lake next time.

Great location, great accommodations, wonderful view!
We were here for a week to celebrate our anniversary. What a great choice! Their dock easily accommodated our bowrider, and is conveniently located near two major marinas. And, the dock captured the early evening shade, making it nice to relax at the table/chairs provided. A very nice screened gazebo is great for evenings to avoid any bugs and enjoy the lake view.
The apartment was super clean and had anything/everything that could be needed. It does not provide a view of the lake as it is in the front of the property. However, we were not there to hang out in the apartment. The grill is by the gazebo with the view. Privacy is NOT an issue since all activites are after the house. The apartment is VERY private.
The internet connection is super, and TV viewing great for the late evening.
I “totally” recommend this location for stay on Lake Murray. It was a great “hub” to marinas, to the other end of the lake, to the dam, and to Sandy Beach.
We will surely stay here again, and we live only 2 1/2 hours away!

Too many steps from the dock to living quaters for a couple in 60's
The living quaters were clean, well stocked, and in good repair. The owners were very nice and responded to a problem with ants coming out of the back of the cupboards. The gazebo was a nice feature. The distance from the top of the living quaters to the dock and back up the hill more than once was a little too much for a couple in their 60's. We ended up leaving a day early. I would recommend this property to a younger couple or family.

The place was clean and roomy, the owners helpful and friendly but made sure to give us our space. NOT a lake view from the studio, though.

Not good
The property owner was very nice the studio was clean but we felt very uncomfortable to walk to the lake because it wasn’t private , their backyard was a mess we left early and took the loss of money we went their for the lake and we didn’t get to enjoy it at all I would not recommend this property if your looking for privacy and lake front this in not the place we drove ten hours and so disappointed with our first visit to so Carolina .

Cozy and Warm
All I can say is perfect. This little home was cozy and warm. It was very clean. We wanted for nothing- dishes, plenty of towels, soaps, bottled water, coffee, cream, sugar... you name it, they provided it. Ed and Vera were very kind and welcoming. Just a wonderful visit. If we ever head back to Lake Murray, this will definitely be our first choice in homes.

Serenity
The unit was immaculate and well stocked with linens, towels and paper products. Even had bottled water, coffee and shower products! We didn't get to enjoy the lake much due to our schedule and the weather. Very serene and safe.

Love this sweet home away.
Such a lovely place. So convenient to the lake and local restaurants. Hosts were accommodating and very nice. We felt so at home we immediately viewed to come back to this exact spot. Loved our stay.

Overall, we both give the place a 5 stars. We will be encouraging our family and friends to come stay at this lovely place. Once discovered, this place will not have a lot of vacancies.
