Location was the only good thing with this stay, but having been in Villefranche many times (this one the 3rd this year), I'd rather walk longer from the bus than stay here again - until this hotel is updated with regards to: > beds (horrible standard) > cleanliness (now mission impossible as very outdated and scruffy), ouf!!! > missing hooks in the room, we had to hang jackets on door handle... > bathroom, terribly cheap interior and even if recently (?) renovated it was already in a bad state, with broken shelves and shower constructed in a way that made you stand in high water as if it was a tub etc (+stupid small things like the soap container installed just above the toilet roll... no comments)

Le lit était initialement cassé, j'ai donc dû faire quelques réparations mineures moi-même. Les chambres ont besoin d'un ravalement et d'un nettoyage plus approfondi.

The door alarm was very annoying.

- Nice staff that tried to accommodate our needs. - Then lent us a parasol to use at the beach. We could also store a couple of our groceries in the common fridge. - The bathroom was pretty good.

- The AC was noisy and also made a strange noise a couple of times a minute and it also leaked water on the floor so that the floor was damaged. - Our room (number 4) was in need of a remodeling - it was out dated. - There were no fridge or freezer in the room. - The alarm to the door started to sound every time we opened the door. Where annoying to both us and the neighbors. - Some of the power outlets where hanging loose from the wall.

Virginie is a very welcoming host who I felt went out of her way to look after me and make me feel at home. My room and bathroom were a generous size and I liked that it opened out onto the courtyard garden where I had a little to sit outside with a cup of tea. Had a kettle, too. Great location.

I’d have liked a little fridge for keeping water or milk in.

Excellent location.

Clean Room, good bed, nice sea and city view. WC was a bit a surprise, room design 😉 small but clean and functional.

Breakfast was ok, but due to small hotel, limited. Due to small breakfast area, a bit limited. But the service makes the best. Vaccum cleaner should not be visible in breakfast area, but c'est la vie.

Host was nice Location var good Villefranchesurmer is so beautiful! The garden was cute

Good to know: - floors where not fresh, it felt like a sticky surface when walking. We switched from socks to shoes inside. - difficult to get a balanced temperature in the shower, it went from cold to too hot. So it took time to get a hold of that. - air quality/ventilation in the room could have been better. We opened the window and door before going to sleep to get fresh air, and 10 minutes after closing them the room felt airless and air trapped.
