The Kessler Cottage is beautifully secluded in one acre of land with mature trees and a sandy long driveway leading up to it for your relaxing walks among the pines. This 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage has a split floor plan with two living rooms and is a 15 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, walking distance to St.Julien Winery/Round Barn Brewery, short drive to Galean river kayaking, and all the adventures that southwest Michigan has to offer. To make sure all our guests have a safe and relaxing stay, we take extra care in our cleaning and maintenance for our guests. Outdoor space has tons of privacy with a lounging deck in the back and dining patio with seating up to 7. This spacious cottage has 2 large living rooms with tv's, movies, games, etc. The spacious kitchen and dining room has all the extras to entertain, including all appliances, dishwasher, dishes, utensils, etc. Also, an outdoor grill with charcoal and lighter fluid for all your grilling needs. Complimentary coffee and tea with your stay. Come get away from it all and take walks or bike to the great restaurants and beaches of Union Pier! We also supply our guests with beach towels and beach chairs. Whether you are looking to enjoy beaches, biking, relaxing, fall foliage, snow shoeing, or visiting the many wineries, nearby restaurants, or Four Winds Casino, Union Pier is a great getaway! This house is close to New Buffalo, Michigan, St. Joseph, Michigan City, Four Winds Casino, Warren Dunes State Park, Pure Michigan Harbor Country. The cottage was all that was expected tucked away frm the city life and noise. It was clean and cozy and the hostess was precise and pleasant. Perfect for the next time a getaway is needed. :)

Perfect sized house for our quick fall getaway weekend. Our group consisted of two couples, no kids. We liked that the two bedrooms were on opposite ends of the cottage. We each had our own bathroom and living room. Beata was a gracious host and answered our only question very quickly (although later I realized she’d already given the information we needed in the check in instructions-reading is fundamental haha). Only suggestion for important it would just be better pillows and maybe a mattress upgrade to the second bedroom. It was a little hard on our backs, maybe intended for a teenager instead of our old 40-something bones. We would still stay there again and just bring our own pillows. The house was very clean and everything worked like it should. We were really glad there were games to play (we are now Skip-Bo masters), because we forgot to bring our own. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit unfortunately, but next time we will. The two restaurants nearby (Red Arrow Roadhouse and Whistle Stop) were fantastic. We went to Red Arrow both nights for dinner because the food was THAT good! Maybe next time we’ll try Union Social House. All in all this was the relaxing break we needed from it busy lives. We had a very relaxing stay. The Hosts thought of so many niceties. It is set up well for going to the beach with folding chairs & towels. It's a nice, quiet area. Very wooded. We saw deer multiple times. It's a short drive to numerous places. We thank the Hosts for their thoughtfulness.

The house was adequate, but there is lots of room for improvements. It served its purpose for our group and allowed us all to be together. We felt that the kitchenware was lacking for preparing meals for a group. The Wi-Fi was still having issues and the TV signal froze every few seconds so you couldn't watch anything. The master bedroom and bath were nice and spacious. The other two bedrooms could use new mattresses. It is a convenient location for visiting the lake and beaches.

We absolutely love this place and for sure will be back.
1. The host was very responsive and kind.
2. Smooth check in and check out.
3. The property is located close to highway but in a very quiet neighborhood.
4. The house was very clean, very well maintained and beautifully decorated.
5. The host provides you with absolutely everything - just bring clothes and groceries and you dont need to worry about the rest, including a hair dryer and shampoo.

The house and property were wonderful. We only had a few issues with the house. Shower rod in main bathroom wouldn't stay attached to the wall, and fell on two of our friends. The small bathroom toilet wouldn't flush well, and sometimes not at all. We also had issues with the television (although that may have been on us). But the closeness to the beach and the general living areas and the outdoors were all wonderful. Would stay again with a few small repairs done.

Our family found the cottage quiet with plenty of rooms for 4 Adults for a short weekend gathering. The room with the king size bed was comfortable but the room with twin beds was not really suited for an adult comfort. The cottage is tucked away and not easy to walk to the public beach access but can drive. We loved the firepit.

Ok for what we needed and for the cost. Needs some updating. Ants on kitchen counter. Found some on our food which we had to throw out. No WiFi even though VRBO states there is. Property manager continued to give reasons why it wasn’t working. Seems to be an ongoing issue.

We spent a long weekend at the property. It is a summer property but its clean and well maintained. The only drawback is there is no wifi. However due to lack of wifi we spent our time outside going places during daytime and evenings by fire pit. loved the relaxing setting.

For example, beach towels, cooking supplies, condiments, bug spray, sunscreen, charcoal for grill, etc. We were worried about mosquitos, but they were not bothersome. The location is great - close to the beach as well as restaurants. We loved our stay.

The house was so perfect for our trip!!! It was a great size- bigger than we anticipated! Very well stocked for all of our needs, convenient parking (even with 3 cars), and close to the beach and wineries. I would definitely stay again if I return to the area!!!

The location was great for us off the beaten path. For some they may like everything within walking distanced. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy. The house was warm, cozy and very comfortable.

Everything matched the listing perfectly, and we enjoyed staying here! It was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t notice when we booked that there is no Wi-Fi — it wasn’t a problem for us, but something to be aware of as you’re booking.

Had a great stay with 4 girlfriends celebrating our 40th bdays. We had such a great time going to wineries (walking distance) and restaurants. Everything was provided and the house was so much bigger than we expected. Definitely would recommend.
