Still a beautiful property, location is perfect, sadly disappointed that not in the Sa,e pristine condition as last year, spoke to property owner who explained new cleaners due to circumstances out of his control but was pleased it had been reported so action could be taken.

This is a great spot to stay for access to Belper. Walking distance to centre. The house was well maintained with everything we needed as a base for our family weekend. Thank you for letting us stay.

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you needed. Although no drive/allocated parking we had no problem parking outside. Lovely bedrooms and great for the dogs downstairs. There are walks close by for the dogs but its some distance to walk from the cottage to places you can let them off the lead.

Lovely little house which suited the 4 of us (+dog) well for 2 nights. Very clean, warm and cosy. Fabulous dining room floor!!!
We ate out at the Devonshire Arms...best chicken wings ever, and had take away from the Indian. Blessed with good weather which helped complete a lovely few days in Derbyshire.

This property has been carefully modernised and has kept charming features with two modern bathrooms and a kitchen all you need.
Warm and cosy with lovely walks, pubs and Belper centre close by.
Our family of four adults and golden retriever hope to be able to return.

Lovely property fairly close to Belper centre.
Very well equipped throughout.
Comfortable beds.
Steep stairs may be a problem for older guests or small children though there is a stairgate at the top of the stairs

Can't recommend highly enough. No complaints whatsoever. Everything about our stay was made easy by the host, who lives nearby and was very thoughtful and responsive. Property was exactly as shown in the photos. Convenient to shopping (great traditional high street plus Morrison's and Aldi), pubs (The Grapes is a 5 minute walk and the friendliest we found), splendid countryside just outside the town. My wife and I stayed for 2 months this summer and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Book now, you won't regret it!

Lovely cottage, very well equipped with everything you need, smartly kept & tastefully renovated, nice & clean, lovely bedrooms, bedding & plenty of towels but very steep stairs & outside garden very steep to reach, was a little daunting for us 60somethings. Only thing we missed were ice trays for our GNts so we bought some. Near to town centre although steep decline for walking, plenty of good restaurants & pubs near & wonderful veiw from kitchen window. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Charming cottage
We only spent a couple of full days in Belper but crammed a lot in. A delightful cottage with everything you need.

Just returned from a lovely 5 day break in Belper. The house was just right for the two of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With the exception of a small technical hitch with the central heating ( rectified within 90 minutes) There were no problems or issues. The owner, Mike, was very approachable and did everything he could to make our stay as comfortable and trouble free as possible. Derbyshire is a lovely county and it’s towns and hills are well worth a visit.

Had a lovely stay in this property. The description was accurate so no disappointments there. Finding a welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and a lovely gesture by the owner, which was much appreciated. Would agree that the property would not suit someone with mobility problems but prospective renters are openly warned of this so no issues should arise. Thanks Mike.

Clean and cosy
Great little bolt-hole. Very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped, although we didn't find anywhere to hang washing. 3 adults and 2 children. Would have been a tight squeeze for 5 adults in the lounge. On street parking wasn't a problem. Lovely views across the valley. Thoughtful welcome pack.

We had a lovely 2-night stay while visiting Chatsworth and the Dales. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Thank you for our generous hamper. The bedrooms were nicely decorated with comfortable beds and the garden was cute. A lovely view out of the kitchen window.
Much nicer and more spacious than expected from the listing photos.

Myself and my friends loved our short stay in this property and wished that we had booked to stay for longer. It was so spacious and beautifully decorated- the perfect place to catch up with friends from the other side or the country that I hadnt seen for a while. We will most definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

Ideal location for Peak District
Very good communication with Michael, small problem with tap in thrkitchen sink but Michael replaced it the morning it was reported. Very good views when looking out of bedroom windows, lots to do in & around Belper. It would have been good to have a visitors book so that we could have left our feedback on but maybe this was not there because of Covid,. We would stay there again.
