Good location and kind staff. Excellent swimming pools, price per night rate and not too busy
Fan wasn’t working. No street lights on street (because the place is still under development)

Dark and humid room (bed
sheets were humid!) and high cost while this is not by the sea.

Fantastic hotel, beautifully kept and maintained. lovely pool areas with friendly & attentive staff
Could have lived without having to burn away my negative thoughts on arrival, especially after a 10hr flight!

beautiful vibe, very clean, felt very safe. staff great!
I loved the property. it isn’t a beach location so there’s not much you can do about that. it would have been no issue if taxis in Tulum weren’t so expensive. the hotel does have bikes too but I was travelling with a child.

Everything within expectations.
Very good breakfast made at the moment.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Many days the music in the pool area was too loud, taking away the possibility of rest and listening to the beautiful birds in the garden.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous modern design, two tranquil pool areas and DELICIOUS food. Every meal, snack and drink we had was excellent. We were traveling with my 3 year old son and they made special snacks for him at almost every meal and went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed.
I also can't say enough nice things about the staff. From the moment we arrived they were warm, welcoming and responsive and truly made us feel at home. They helped arrange a special bike with a toddler seat, booked reservations at family-friendly beach clubs and gave some great recommendations. I've never been to a hotel where every single person who we interacted with was just lovely.
The ONLY negative is the location. It's quite a ways from the nice beach clubs/restaurants. Luckily they provide free bikes and we ended up enjoying the ride (~20 min), but there's not much in walking distance.

Location is good. Have bikes available. Breakfast is fair quality. Pools are nice.
Staff is slow (someone left food tray by the poiol, so it sat there for an hour and noone checked or taken it away) and does not do any extra mile (Had to leave early and asked is restaurant could pack a sandwitch as we will not be able to eat our include

I didn’t like that when we checked in I asked for our card to be charged at check out. The receptionist charged my card anyway. When we were trying to check out they were trying to charge our card a second time. The girl kept saying the charge was cancelled and I had to call my bank to confirm that my card was indeed charged.
Then come to find out the amount my card was charge was more than the cost of our stay. I was told we’re going to be refunded but we still have not received our refund. I had to email them a second time and this time they “promise” my card would be refunded. Still waiting in that…….

great hospitality, stylish design, helpful staff
the only downside of the hotel was the humidity smell in the room. They said it’s a common problem in Tulum area. The hotel staff tried to help with a humidity machine which was put in the room for a while when we were out to reduce the smell.

The hotel melts into the jungle and makes you feel like you are in a jungle with the trees and vegetation everywhere. It is incredibly beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff could not be more helpful and attentive.
There is very little to be critical of this hotel, except maybe the breakfast, which was good, but not exceptional. The choice was limited and the quality did not match the standard of the many places nearby which served exceptional breakfast at reasonable prices.

beautiful setting and free use of bikes
it had no atmosphere or ambience specially during new year’s eve

Great hotel with amazing staff. The room was spacious & always clean. Both pools are great for chilling, while the restaurants were simply special.
Shout out to the AMAZING restaurant manager in the morning (Rolando I think) & Martin who were both simply the best.
There was a light smell in the room due to the high humidity.

The location is a nice spot, midway between downtown and the beach. Bikes available to get around. Nice modern decor.
The room smelt damp. There wasn’t a kettle or iron in the room, despite our multiple requests for both they weren’t able to provide for us. The phone didn’t work in the room. a party from the restaurant moved to the pool late one night and continued to party until 1am, the noise was incredible for our ground floor room and didn’t mix well with our jet lag.

the property itself is very nice. two nice pools, comfortable room
there was no vibe at all. the day we arrived we went to have lunch while waiting to check in. the restaurant and pool were dead. no one there, no music playing, pool bar closed down, no one out at the pool to order from. it did not feel like we were on a fun vacation

staff is wonderful! great service they were making sure we had what we needed any reservation to any place we wanted to go to they took care of. the hotel is always kept clean.
the only thing if anything would be the location if you have to take a taxi daily. lucky for us we had a rental so not so much of an issue for us.

Staff and room were good. Nice setting
Not ocean front as advertised and beach club sort of attached to hotel was awful except for food which was great. Food at hotel was ok but very limited. Could not get rooftop restaurant to turn down techno music even though most nights we were the only clients. Also being limited on breakfast menu was pretty insulting after paying for meal up front. We ended up leaving early and going some where else and should have left immediatly upon arrival. IHG also did not allow my points to be used there. The whole experience was my worst stay in 20 years at least. I chose the Kimpton over all others because of my very good past experiences . I would like someone to contact me with some kind of solution to this stay.

Great service, they changed our room because the neighbour upstairs had a baby and it was noisy, the rooms are nice clean and calm, loads of space. Different pools and areas in the hotel + the restaurant service is amazing, you really feel special.
Special thanks to Mario from the restaurant, really nice person.

New and modern hotel in the jungle. Rooms well appointed and the facilities and staff are excellent. Can’t fault anything with our stay!
The location isn’t quite in the town nor is it near the beach meaning that you’ll probably be taking regular trips in either direction fairly often. The other thing is that when we stayed (March) the hotel seemed extremely quiet and while there is a swim up bar in the downstairs pool, it appeared to always be closed. Similar story to the rooftop bar and pool which doesn’t open until the evening. Neither of these things are problems (in fact for some people these may actually be positives) but things maybe worth being aware of.

A beautifully designed hotel, with super friendly and attentive staff. Amazing room that had everything we needed (bed super comfortable) and extremely clean. The two pools (one being a rooftop pool) were great and the rooftop restaurant food was lovely. Free bike rental was super useful. Breakfast was really nice and complementary drinks between 5-6PM was also a nice touch. Also, a really useful gym with a good selection of free weights. Also free yoga some days on the rooftop. Would definitely recommend!
Also, a great checking-in experience, which was a nice touch.
Nothing!
