The one bedroom apartment is perfect as a pied-à-terre, and is just blocks away from four theaters featuring live performances in dance, theater, and live music. World class dining is at your doorstep, and parking is included with the home allowing you to enjoy strolling the Historic Downtown Mall. The location can't be beat in the middle of the downtown action! We like to note to future guests that this is a popular area (especially on the weekends) and the noise level on the Downtown Mall may be higher particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. Nice apartment. Comfortable. Beautiful light. Has a piano for any musician out of town which is why we selected it.
The Charlottesville downtown mall is vibrant with shops and restaurants which would make it a great location with the exception of the number of homeless who congregate there. Too much noise and little to no police involvement to keep things quiet after 10 pm. Many unhealthy homeless people sleeping in the mall and in vestibules. It’s reality but not something you want to deal with on your vacation.

We enjoyed this apartment in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The apartment building was warm and had charming, old architectural details. The rooms were quite spacious, and the abundance of natural sunlight from the large windows was inviting. The piano added a fun touch. We were initially concerned about parking, but it was close, and we could actually see our car from a window in the unit.
It was so convenient to walk to some great bars and restaurants. The surrounding area definitely has a city feel but felt safe enough. It made for some good people watching. During the day we strolled into the local shops. We visited the nearby Trump winery which had beautiful views of the rolling countryside. We had a short drive to a concert at the John Paul Jones arena.
Overall we had a fantastic weekend and would recommend this special accommodation for your visit, especially if you want to be close to a lively area of Charlottesville.

The Old Met was a beautiful old place in downtown C'Ville... having lived in town years ago it brought back many memories with the charming creaky floors, high ceilings, and period architectural detailing. It was a little tricky finding the place the 1st time, and even though the Mall was active at night, the bedroom was nice and quiet, and very comfy. I'd definitely stay there again!

This is a very comfortable apartment in a great location. As others have noted there's a lot of street noise at night, but all you need to do is switch on the vent fan above the oven and it's enough white noise to sleep soundly.

A great place to stay, just steps away from restaurants, shops, entertainment. Property is as described, bed was comfortable. No complaints at all.

The apartment itself was fine. And I’m sure for many people the area would be fine. It just wasn’t for us. First, the parking is horrendous. We were given access to a parking lot that was open to the public for the downtown mall so finding a spot to park to go to our rental was nearly impossible. And the noise level is terrible. And not just the downtown area but all night long. We heard yelling/fighting all night from the park behind our apartment. We actually left a day early.

Property was exactly as listed and we enjoyed everything about our stay. Only thing would be suggesting to change out shower curtain in master bath. Had read about mold on it in previous review and was surprised it was still there. Only reason for 4 star for cleanliness. This is definitely the place to stay to truly experience Cville and everything it has to offer. Would absolutely stay here again!

Had a great time at the downtown location for the holidays! Gorgeous view and interior is well appointed. Parking is just behind the building, just leave the email pass on the dash and no worries. Comfy furniture, and 2 full bathrooms which was really useful.
It’s an older property so there are squeaky floors, just comes with the territory. Basic surfaces were clean, but there was some gunk on the faucet, dust under the bed, and some more intense cleaning between stays is necessary. Sort of par for the course issues, but should be addressed. Especially since we cooked a lot and needed a clean kitchen to feel comfortable.
Great price considering the location, you’ll save on downtown parking since it’s included. The management company is super responsive! Which is refreshing. You can tell they take pride in their place and providing a nice experience

Should try to make available additional parking permits for when people are coming in from different directions. An upcharge for that would be fine.

apple tv kind of sucks. tv in bedroom has no cable box so does not work. hot water in shower is flakey - dissapears at times. internet did not work. instruction book seems dated - mentions comcast remote which has been replaced by tedious tethered apple sucky tv.

The apartment was lovely, I just think more attention needs to be paid to the smaller details. There were light bulbs that were burnt out and needed replacing and the couch was really stained. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and accommodating.

Wonderful property and location.
Wonderful property and location. Had everything we could ask for - appliances in kitchen, washer/dryer, two bathrooms, ample comfortable seating, paino was a nice bonus. While apartment is on 3rd floor, this did not bother us (both in our late 50's). Convenient location - so much within walking distance as well as easy driving distance. Walked to UVA but took free trolley back; all easy to navigate. Utilized Visitor's Center and got great help and advice. Originally made error with online reservation but one phone call later, all was cleared up. Very helpful team.

Great location in the mall area with lots of food options. The apartment was absolutly beautiful and very clean. The property manager was easy to work with and made the check in process painless.

-A plus to have 2 full bathrooms, all needed kitchen items, washer/dryer, & good closet space.

-big walk up stairs to 3rd floor-like that this was top floor-just be prepared for exercise!
-Old building is charming, but floors and doors are very squeaky-May disturb others in night.
-bed is also very squeaky, not a great mattress.
-shower liner in both bathrooms filled w/ mildew - really disgusting.
-Bed linens & towels are clean but not great quality.
-Some furniture is worn, including rusted toilet paper holder & bath trash can.
-Vacuum was plugged in bedroom, filled with debris from previous use.
-this condo has such potential to be drop dead gorgeous, but furnishings are very modest. I’m sure some are tentative about placing nice furnishings in rentals, but I believe it pays off. The price for this condo w/ all fees should reveal a very nicely appointed space that guests want to revisit, but it doesn’t. We’ve rented so many beautiful places through VRBO. Good renters will respect lovely accommodations. Thus, I encourage the owners to update the unit with better furnishings & decor. Hope to see photos in the future listing of this property that reveal changes for the better.

Additionally, I found it conveniently located to the parking lot for easy access. Excellent customer service especially when there was confusion about the rental start date.

The bedding was stained.
The bedding was stained. And, no top sheet was left for the fold out sofa. The mattress on it was also stained and dirty. Didn’t work with one.

Great Location right on the Downtown Mall- perfect for restaurants & night life.
Parking Lot was right behind the building.
A little difficult to get in the building at first-ensure the given code is within the brackets when you use the keypad. The apt is clean, bright and beautiful- exactly as the pictures.
Kitchen well stocked with coffee maker, toaster, dishes - great for breakfast , however you can make a full meal.
2 full bathrooms newly renovated - great shower heads and plenty of towels.
My only but is the bedding - need to update with something new and nicer. It was a polyester comforter and looked faded. I would recommend this unit and the service of the Management.

We enjoyed this property very much.
We enjoyed this property very much. I was a little worried that it might be a bit loud in the evening but we had no problems with sound and enjoyed the convenience of it.
Loved the location and the interior of the property was very nice & comfortable. I liked that it had a bath tub along with a large glass enclosed shower in the second bathroom. Both were extremely clean and well appointed.
The kitchen was very nice but limited in housewares but not a problem for us since we went out to eat most nights. It worked just fine for morning coffee and a quick breakfast or a light lunch.
We would definitely book this property again. Always a pleasure.
