About this standard cabin rental

Nestled in Canyon Lake, this lovely standard cabin for R 3,190 per night is a great option for your next break. A 1 bedroom, 1 bath with loft, Real Log Cabin retreat. Situated on 5 acres in the Texas Hill Country, is a small gentleman’s ranch, with chickens, (Farm Fresh Eggs available!), turkeys, deer and a plethora of songbirds and seasonal hummingbirds. The owners live on site. Our cabin is wheelchair friendly, non smoking, pet friendly (with extra fee), has a fully equipped modern kitchen, so just bring your own groceries or visit the local grocery store about 5 miles away. We have a BBQ grill/Smoker and the long BBQ utensils, 8 outside chairs to sit around the fire ring to enjoy a small relaxing fire, providing we are not under a burn ban. Equipped with a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and several USB ports located around the living spaces to keep you connected if you wish. Bedroom has a king size bed, the loft has 2 queen size beds and the great room has a full size sleeper sofa. Easily accommodate 6-8 guest. We provide bed lines and bath towels. With extra parking spot for your boat, we are close proximity to boat ramps on the north side of Canyon Lake. Ramp #23 @ 22100 N Cranes Mill Road is 3 miles. Ramp #22 @ 808 Park Shores Road is 4 miles. Enjoy the outdoors on the patio with a cup of coffee in the morning made from a Keurig coffee marker, or a glass of wine in the evening. NEW UPDATES! We recently installed a REME UV-C light inside the Air Handler as added protection against microbial growth, virus, bacteria and airborne pathogens. We are now accepting dogs, but limiting it to 1 dog per stay. Centrally located between San Antonio and Austin, makes day trips to explore the rich history and fun times both cities have to offer. Also close to several attractions such as The Whitewater Amphitheater in Canyon Lake, Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, The Grist Mill and Greune Hall in Greune, the Famous Outlet Malls in San Marcos and the 290 Wine Tours in Fredericksburg .... (just a few popular votes behind the Napa Valley. ) But most importantly is enjoying the lake, tube or kayak the Guadalupe River, or cycling in the area.

My friends and I were throughly impressed with this space and the local area. Theresa and her husband were more than kind, offering us food and recommending local attractions. The cabin itself was exactly what we were looking for to escape the big city for a few days. We met some “furry friends” as well… deer surround the property. Absolutely worth the stay!

We had such a wonderful time!! Our 10 year chose the cabin from the app and just fell in love!! Theresa was amazing, the deer were so fun to feed and there is a ton to do in the area. We absolutely would go back. We truly had a wonderful time. 💜

We had the most amazing stay. The cabin was spacious and perfect for our family of 6. The wildlife visiting the property was a delight to the kids. Deer, fox and plenty of bird species. The owners allowed us to visit with their turkeys, chickens and cats. They provided farm fresh eggs and a lots of helpful information about the area. They were quick to answer questions throughout our stay. We will definitely be back to visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend getaway. The location was great for us because it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to be within a short drive to Canyon Lake, Wimberley and other areas of interest. We saw several deer and a momma fox and one of her babies from the front porch. Couldn’t ask for a better host than Theresa. Great communication and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend this property.

The cabin was cozy and clean. The firepit was great for making smores with the fam. Rene and Theresa were great hosts and we we really enjoyed keeping an eye out for the fox family! Would absolutely recommend, so many great things to do around the area or just relaxing on the porch feeding the deer. Great place to unwind.

Went here for our anniversary getaway weekend from Austin. The cabin is in. Great condition, very clean and well taken care of. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. Close drive to the lake, not too far from Wimberly. 10/10 experience

This cabin is the real deal. 5 star all the way. Clean, well maintained inside and out. Perfectly situated in a wooded area surrounded with wild life and birds. This created a very relaxing and rejuvenating time. Front porch with peaceful atmosphere, swing for 2. Spacious interior and comfortable. Very enjoyable stay.

The property itself is wonderfully secluded with expected wildlife. The owners are super helpful and friendly, and the kids and us enjoyed the chickens and turkeys. The fresh eggs are also a welcome treat. The cabin was great!

What a beautiful cabin! Tucked away in Canyon lake. The host was super nice and was very helpful. I had my mother, daughter and a few of her closets friends to celebrate her. The deer and atmosphere where the cherry on the cake! Looking forward to visiting again.

Beautiful, quiet, secluded cabin which was perfect for our short getaway in honor of my borthday. Kitchen is laid out well for cooking, unlike many other small cottages, and proprietors live onsite which makes for easy communication. Great place from which to explore the Canyon Lake area, or some simply relax and enjoy the environs. This property earns our highest recommendation.

This is my second time staying here, first time pregnant and now this time we got to bring our toddler. She loved it, and cabin was safe for her. The beach lake and grocery store are less than 10 minutes away. We stayed at the lake all day and came back to grill for dinner. Also, we saw many deer and my daughter got to feed them... I think that was her favorite part of the trip. Great host as well, will be back.

My friends and I had an AMAZING time staying here. Everything was clean and we really ENJOYED the fresh complimentary eggs!!! I would recommend this place to anyone and we definitely plan on coming back! It’s very spacious, we had 6 people and easily could have made it 7 or 8!

I don’t know where to begin. From the moment we entered this cabin we were in awe!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!! Theresa welcomed us immediately and kept an open communication with us for all questions or concerns. I love the location, as it is tucked away and quiet. Home was clean (in and surrounding area). Theresa also invited my children to pick chicken eggs which was definitely an experience for a city girl like me lol. Nevertheless I cannot and will not think of another place to stay when we visit Canyon Lake. This was a perfect getaway for my family.

Our small group of 4 friends enjoyed staying at the cabin for a nice guys trip weekend. Close to activities like floating the rivers but far enough to have a quiet place to stay. Owners were very nice and the property was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the deer that came up to the yard and feeder in the mornings and evenings. Highly recommend for small groups or families.

We enjoyed the stay very much. It was so nice to not be by a lot of people like at a condo or group of cabins. It was very relaxing. My husband, daughters and I enjoyed sitting on the porch feeding the deer every morning and every evening. It was less distracting than other places we have stayed. No pool meant we played card games as a family. We did this every night even after a long day. The cabin was amazing and beautiful. It was perfect. The only negative thing to saw was the bed could have been a little softer but the cabin and everything about it was perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We certainly will book again.

The stay at this property was just what we needed. We wanted a place that was comfortable for our group without having so much space that we would feel like we were seperated from each other. Everything was as advertised. Check-in was one of the easiest ways I have ever had at a place. Owner even had corn to toss out to the dear that would come eat and watch you drink your coffee in the morning. You would never know It was 104 degrees during the day thanks to the shade provided by the live oaks and the well working AC. You will find nothing better in this price range close to canyon lake.

First of all, let’s hear it for the people who built this bad ass cabin. From the outside it’s ruggedly handsome, like Ralph Lauren, but the inside will surprise you. That’s not a euphemism. Comfortably sleeps 6-7 adults, or 20 five-year-olds. A/C runs COOOOOLD. Great for those central Texas summers. Close enough to the lake that you can beat the crowd, far enough that you aren’t being serenaded by frat boy beats. New Braunfels is a short drive away if you want to bar hop and enjoy some in-town time. The bartenders don’t seem used to people, but Coors Light taste the same no matter the service. But, back to the cabin. The deer will let you know quickly that you’re a guest and they live here. They want your corn. GIVE THEM CORN! The kitchen was more than adequate for the three dinners we cooked. And the TV was perfect for Mario Kart Battles until 3am. I just suck at Mario Kart. I told Theresa we’d be back, and I mean it. So definitely book this awesome property, but don’t book my weekend.

We absolutely loved the cabin. It was such a nice quiet time away from our hectic lives. Everything was as good or better than advertised, and the best part was sitting on the porch every morning having coffee and hanging out with the deer.
