Feb 2022We loved our stay! It was perfect for what we were looking for and the beach is right out front! Beautiful! The beds were comfortable and lots of hot water for showers. Lots of close, terrific restaurants -- some within walking distance. The condo itself is beautiful and modern feeling, and well-kept. Jul 2021This condo was a great place to stay for a family of 4 with everything we needed. We arrived and checked in with the friendliest of service. The location of the condo was amazing with steps to the white sand and beach. We also took advantage of the free beach service that helped us stay out of the sun when needed. We did encounter a small hiccup. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was kissing it’s chain and was set on the lowest speed and maintenance was quick to come and replace it. The only thing I would suggest is to update your fridge with the filtered water and ice dispenser. Other than that I would recommend staying here. Leer más

Apr 2021The property was clean, comfortable and very nice. We practically lived on the large comfortable balcony with a great view of the ocean. We loved being more secluded from the busier beaches. This property’s beach was beautiful, and it was exactly 100 steps from our back door to our chairs and umbrella on the beach.! We will definitely plan to come back. A couple of notes for those considering the property—It is a first floor unit, but there are about 10, slippery when wet, stairs to get into the unit. Also, the unit is dog friendly ,but dogs are not allowed on the beach, and on the beach side of the complex, there is only one small patch of grass for dog walking- We ended up driving to the state park to walk the dogs.. Lastly, we were not told we had to have our dogs’ shot records, which created some issues because our vet’s office was already closed when we checked in. My husband & I stayed 5 nights in #1144 and loved every moment! The condo is updated, well furnished, and clean. Sandpiper Cove was recommended to me by a friend and I’ve already recommended to someone else! We loved not being in a high-rise condo and having plenty of beach front without feeling crowded. We enjoyed being close to a variety of eating establishments and had the best gumbo at the original Dewey Destin’s. Beach Walk Cafe is a worthy splurge! We loved the location of Sandpiper because we felt off the “main drag”, but still close to everything. We never heard any traffic or any other noises for that matter, just the beautiful sounds of the ocean! Don’t be put off that this particular condo is pet-friendly. We have dogs at home, but don’t travel with them because of their size. You would never know that any pets had been in this condo. We would definitely stay here again! Leer más

This was our fourth Family Vacation at Sandpiper Cove. All have gone very well. Special kudos to the office staff for this year. We had to change schedules several times due to the virus - and they were exceptionally accommodating at every twist and turn. Since we did not want to venture out, it was especially needed to have our three units so comfortable and close to the beach - especially for the Grandkids. We had a great time as this was the first vacation we have taken with our Grandsons 6 and 10 and their mom and dad. My wife and I had the experience of a lifetime. The condo provided a beautiful view located steps from the beach and shade on the deck early morning and throughout the early afternoon into the evening hours. The beach experience was superb and water great. Lots of lounging in the sun and swimming in the Gulf. Sand castles and burying the kids in the sand passing time with lots of laughs. First of all the place was so very clean. It was decorated beautifully. They had all of the hinge needed for cooking the perfect meal. The bed was extremely comfortable. We’ve stayed at SandpiperCove Condominiums for about 25 years now. Always had great stays, but usually do beach walk. This year we decided to try directly on the beach. The location of this condo was perfect, with a walkover very close to the unit. Unfortunately, thanks to TS Cristobal, it was badly shaken and was closed off during our stay. The inside of the condo was nice, with plenty of room. We enjoyed the large deck with a beautiful ocean view, and our little one only had to go down a few steps to be in the sand. Overall cleanliness of the unit could have been a little better, but with the whole COVID-19 thing, we figured they had done the best they could. Construction and reno going on from 7:30-4:00 daily, including at our unit, although I was told before arrival our building wouldn't be affected. We had a few complaints but overall, it was a great place to stay. The view was gorgeous, and the beach service was awesome. The proximity of the condo is minutes to all the attractions in Destin. The Louisiana Lagniappe restaurant that is on the Sandpiper Cove property is quite frankly one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. <br/> <br/>We arrived at 5:00 pm and could not completely check-in until the next day because the office was closed. Several of the lights inside did not work. The biggest issue we had was the add on pillow top for the mattress in the master suite. It was mushy and very uncomfortable. We could not sleep in the master and resorted to the second bedroom and the couch until we realized we could remove the pillow top. After that, the bed was quite comfortable. <br/> Leer más

The condo had everything we needed. The two bathrooms and the separate vanity would be wonderful for a group that has several females. So thankful that this unit is pet friendly!! Feb 2022Arrived at property after dark. First time in Destin so was not familiar with area to get supplies. The only supply in the condo was toilet paper. No paper towel, no tissues, no coffee filters, etc. Check in process was quite cumbersome. On second day there we had 3-5 contractors on our front porch at a time. At one point our front door was blocked by a ladder. In order to get to the parking lot we had to go out the back slider, across a large sand area and around the building. Voiced my concern to the management company and they informed me they were made aware the evening before that they were starting on our unit. There were many other units that were vacant that still needed to be completed so they could have requested that they do another unit until we vacated two days later. They apologized and issued a 10% refund to us for our inconvenience but would have much rather had an enjoyable experience instead. Condo was clean. View was superb. Leer más
