Enclavado en Weaverville, esta encantador entire cabin por MXN 2,596 por noche es una Bien elección para su próxima escapada. Esta cabaña de madera tiene una de las mejores vistas a las montañas del mundo. Está a 20 minutos de Asheville en 36 acres en una cala privada salvaje, pacífica y exuberante. Sin embargo, debes saber que la cabaña es rústica. No es posible mantener alejadas a las avispas y las abejas. Hay un ratón que vive aquí. Es un poco descuidado. Dicho esto, es cómodo. Hay una cama queen y un futón de tamaño completo en un loft pequeño, por lo que si hay una segunda persona o pareja, su espacio para dormir no será espacioso.
También debe saber, LA CASITA NO SE BLOQUEA. Es un área muy segura, nadie por aquí cierra sus puertas.

Jul 2019You really can't beat the view from this cabin! The property is gorgeous, Elicia was very intentional with communication, and the caretaker Mark was wonderful and very responsive with some minor issues with the air conditioning unit.
We had no sightings of the cabin mouse and only saw one bee inside the cabin the entire five nights we were there.
I had trouble finding this kind of information before our trip so I thought I'd post some recommendations for things to bring as well as share items that were in the cabin already for those making the trip soon.
I would recommend bringing: Measuring spoons/cups, a kitchen towel, hand towel for the bathroom, top sheet, wash cloths, wine glasses, and more cups, coffee mugs and knives (if needed, there are two of each which was perfect for us)
This may vary from the time of this post but during our time, the cabin had the following (I'll miss some things but this gives you an idea) :)
Cabin (in general): Grill with tongs, leftover mouse traps (above the oven), trash bags, recycling bags (blue - under sink), hand soap, leftover tourism brochures, movies, games, books, stereo system
Kitchen: Coffee maker, full fridge, full oven, sponges, dish soap, Bundt cake pan, 2 baking sheets, glass pan, wine/bottle opener, peeler, 2 knives, tea pitcher, 2 wood cutting boards, scissors, grater, 2 small glass spice bowls, leftover miscellaneous spices and oil from other guests, leftover coffee filters

Nov 2021We loved staying here! It’s an adorable little cabin on a beautiful property. We were lucky enough to stay when the leaves were at their peak. It gets pretty cold in the cabin at night, but there is a space heater and a wood stove that will keep the loft bed very warm if you choose to sleep there. Jun 2019We liked that this cabin was in a wooded area with a beautiful view. It was rustic, as advertised, which was fine with us! My husband still likes to tent camp (we are in our mid-50's) but I am getting to want more comforts of home so this was a perfect compromise for us! He liked hiking around the property and we had friends nearby in Weaverville so it was a perfect location too. Leer más

Nov 2021This would be an awesome place if there had been curtains on all the windows, if the ones there had matched without holes. Had to fix the back sliding door so there wouldn’t be a two inch crack at the top. There was a sheet on the mattress, but none between you and the comforter. Cat hairs on the sheet. Mold on the headboard. We shut the bedroom door and slept on the couch. There was a mattress in the loft with a comforter on it. Looked like it had been slept in. No wash clothes. No extra towels. Just two. The outside needed some work. Where I parked, I was in briars and weeds when I got out. This would be an awesome place to stay, if they would invest into the cabin, just what we paid to stay there. I don’t mind a little dust, a few wasp, or even a mouse, but this place needs some things fixed in it. Apr 2021This was the perfect gateway and disconnect we all needed. Elicia discribed her place perfectly to a T. If you want a upscale hotel looking place, this is not for you. If you want a beautiful view of the mountains and birds singing to go with your coffee or tea drinking in the morning, then this is the perfect place for you. It’s the perfect place to free your mind and put your soul at peace. The home is so comfortable it’s and “homey” like her decorations go so well do you the pillows and mismatching curtains everything fits this lovely vintage home. I can’t wait to go back. Apr 2019This rustic little mountain cabin had everything we were looking for - breathtaking views, close access to Asheville and surrounding nature reserves while providing basic creature comforts. We came in early spring and enjoyed having the wood stove on in the evenings while cooking and playing board games at night, watching the fog roll over the mountains with our coffee in the morning. It can be warm in the day and a bit chilly at this time of year still (so bring your layers!) but when in need the gas heater does a great job at keeping the place warm too (hot water heater was a little temperamental but did an adequate job - although this will be fixed soon I hear). It has a cute and cozy sleeping nook that our little one (four yrs old) could climb easily and enjoyed claiming as her own. Agree with others who have commented on the rusticness - it is exactly as advertised! If you have ever lived in the country you will know that its impossible to keep nature out . We also brought our own pillows and sheets to feel at home but the bed is super comfy! The house mouse seemed unafraid of our cat and could be quite bold so keep everything in the fridge. That said the cabin has every basic : ample cups, plates, bowls, pots and pans, silverware as well as a toaster, full size coffee maker, full size fridge, and full size stove. Elicia who lives on the property, was keen to make sure we were comfortable , responded to every wish or request (even bought us a grill and games on request!) and was a lovely friendly host. She also rents out two other places on the property - a cool geodesic dome and an amazing sod/hobbit house so you may see others on the property (whom we saw once or twice) but we always felt we had our privacy too. The surrounding property is really amazing with creeks running through it and wildlife. What Elicia has done with it really gives it an inspiring and creative vibe , and for the hospitality and affordable price she makes it an accessible sanctuary too. Leer más

Jul 2019The Motherwood Sanctuary cabin was exactly what I was expecting. Small rustic cabin, with a homey feel, breath taking views, away from the city, privacy, and a relaxing vibe that the area brings as soon as you pull up. Outside the cabin featured a wide open wooden porch that looks over the scenic views. Inside the cabin was cozy and the decor gave off the nature get-away vibe as well. There's also a ladder loft too that can sleep 2 people which was a nice surprise. One of the care takers came by to see if everything was working fine (It had rained really hard non-stop the night before) but everything was fine and ended up have great conversation with him too. This isn't a 5 star hotel in the city so if you want luxury or amenities then look at the Hampton Inn or elsewhere. This is a nature get-away that unplugs you from city life and that's exactly what the Motherwood Sanctuary is for. It's also affordable so it makes it easy to plan a very simple 2 or 3 night stay. Nov 2019The cabin was very easy to get to. The first night we had an issue with the heater not working, but we built a fire and were able to stay moderately warm. The owner was prompt in responding to messages and had a caretaker fix the problem the next morning while we were hiking. Once it was fixed the cabin was more than toasty! I actually chose to sleep in the loft, just because I thought it was cool and all the heat made it very warm. The cabin has AMAZING views of the mountains and the short trail through the woods is a fun walk. Inside the cabin you can find everything that you need to make and eat meals. There are two other houses on the property that are rented. Interaction with other guests was minimal, but they were present. I hope to return when it gets warm and stay in the Hobbit House or Dome! Mar 2022The cabin was as the pictures described. The gas space heater did not work, after 2 tries we gave up. One hand towel was a bit lame. The wood stove did not heat space enough and the wood needed to b cut smaller to fit in stove. In the middle of the pm we heard a loud bang and it appears that a ledge inside the stove dropped down.. not sure why that happened. I did love the ambiance and surrounding land, beauty and deck. I would love to b there when a heater or AC was not

Apr 2019The cabin was as-described and was great for a weekend in Asheville. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick (~15 min) drive to restaurants and shops. I recommend arriving before dark because the driveway is somewhat hidden. Really cute interior, definitely not for people who are expecting this to be like a hotel- but perfect for outdoorsy groups or couples looking for a weekend away. Leer más

May 2019The cabin is in a super beautiful location. It’s certainly rustic, and not for anyone looking for a clean place to stay. My son and I had to leave and couldn't stay because there was no hot water. I tried reaching out to Elicia, but the number provided for her and for her caretaker (April) both said the number is out of service. I reached out to Elicia via the VRBO messaging service, and there was no response. Still no response. We had just gotten done with three days of some very very muddy LEAF camping and needed showers badly. I waited for a long time (30 minutes) for the water to heat up. It never did. I think this place could be great for many people looking for an inexpensive, secluded, and minimalist vacay. However, the lack of hospitality and communication make it very hard for me to recommend to anyone. Leer más

in the area.
As Alicia's description, which is right on, it's not a place for pampered folks, it's comfy, cozy and simplicity in a awesome setting.

Sep 2019Our stay here was wonderful. The description is pretty accurate as far as what to expect. The home is tucked in the mountains and has a beautiful view from the front porch. It was a private, and very cozy space with lots of character. The caretaker texted us once we got there to make sure we had what we needed. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and had no problems. We found ourselves wanting to hang out on the porch as much, if not more than we wanted to do other things we had planned. That said, it’s an easy drive into town or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Jun 2021My sister, cousin and I absolutely LOVED our experience in the Casita! The mountain view is absolutely stunning, as well as the entire property. The proximity to nature really allowed all of us to disconnect from our phones and focus on connecting with each other and the Earth. The cabin felt fully stocked and comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly! It was pretty secluded, other than a couple of trucks that came toward the beginning of our stay, but left shortly. We loved all of the decorating choices and knew it was exactly what we wanted out of our trip. It is rustic in the sense that bugs do get in, but it was never an issue for us. No wasps got in and we never met the house mouse. My spouse and I stayed with our 3 dogs and they enjoyed it also...only issue we had was having people so close to us and walking up to the cabin which our dogs were not to fond of. I would have liked it to be more secluded for sure. The scenery was to die for and I could have watched it all day long. Perfect way to start the day and end. Leer más

Oct 2019If you like the idea of camping, but want to sleep in a bed - this is a perfect cabin for that. As the owner has warned us, it is indeed a little run down, there are bugs and webs, and everything just feels very dated and "hobby-ist" like. But if you are ok with all of that, you will be reward with clean air, great view, and a complete peace and quiet.

Jul 2021Had such a great time staying here recently. The host let me know in advance there would be a get together on the property with some locals should I wish to opt for another date. But I went and had a great time meeting a lot of people. The cabin is actually quite roomy for a tiny cabin; it's rustic, but that's kind of the point. The mornings were very peaceful and it was an easy drive to get to Asheville. Would definitely recommend to others. Leer más

May 2019As Elicia said in her description if you seek luxury, may not be ideal for you but we loved it. If you enjoy cabins or camping I'm sure you'll love it too. Beautiful view, cabin has all the basics you'd need. Elicia was very accomodating and even loaned us a charcoal grill. She was actively working on property as were caretakers. So you will see other people but everyone was great. We had an enjoyable conversation and drink with our "hobbit house" neighbors one evening. Jul 2021Although I did not see the cancellation policy in the listing and it was not included in the reservation document received, a cancellation less than a week in advance results in no money being refunded. We had a death in the family and contacted the owner 3 days in advance of our stay. I waited a day and contacted the owner again. Later, I received a text saying, “sorry for your loss.” At least the cleaning fee and other fees could have been refunded! Not a good way to do business and I will not use this service again.
