Apr 2021Windflowers is on a property just out of Cygnet. Bruce was a charming host and the fully equipped house was spotless. There are beautiful views to be had, lovely comfortable beds and a great fireplace that was much appreciated. Pets are warmly welcomed and our little dog was able to safely wander at will. Jul 2021Windflowers Cottage is a beautifully appointed accommodation, with incredible views, perfect for a holiday escape. Immaculately appointed and spotlessly clean, with excellent heating, including a woodfire, for cooler months. Extremely generous food provisions also included. This is like the place that you always imagine or dream it could be, but rather than disappointing this place was way beyond what I was expecting ( and I’ve stayed in a few). The house is beautiful, superbly decorated, totally inviting. The view is incredible, completely mesmerising. The garden is lovely and with the totally dog friendly fence- what’s not to love. We loved our stay so much we had to stay longer. It was like living in a beautiful country house in a secluded location- but with none of the hard work! Very generous hosts, delicious eggs fresh from the chooks. The only reason not to recommend would be to make sure this spot was available for us when we are next in tasssie. Leer más

Oct 2017We loved our stay at Windflowers. Beautiful accommodation and scenery. Couldn't fault it. There were very generous provisions left in the house for us to enjoy and make use of. Mar 2019We found this house to be very relaxing with all the comforts of home. Your eye is constantly drawn to the gorgeous view from the floor to ceiling glass windows or enjoying it from the deck. Feb 2020The property is set in a beautiful location overlooking the Huon River with mountain ranges beyond. The gardens feature manicured hedges, flowers and shrubs, spacious surrounds and farmland melding into native bush while below are the cherry orchards and other fruit, A wonderful balcony enables an easy outdoor experience while the spacious accommodation and well-placed windows magnify the charm of the scenery. However the hostess walks into the property without knocking , looks over the contents of our kitchen items, then begins in a lengthy lecture of her opinions on world affairs that we did not invite. It would be more appropriate to leave a flyer on the table and if people want to invite a discussion ...so be it. Leer más

May 2022The cottage was charming and comfortable. We lit the combustion fire every night. Very quiet, relaxing and amazing views. Leonie & Bruce were wonderful, allowing our group to check in early due to the heavy rain which had hampered our day of sightseeing. Leonie came around later with supplies for breakfast and fresh fruit. The surrounding countryside was great to drive through and we spent a day at Bruny Island, the ferry being an easy drive. Both Cygnet and Huonville were close enough to get all supplies we needed during our stay. Leer más

Lovely, open plan area filled with light. Heat pump and wood burner, although the house was warm without them.

Nov 2020Leonie and Bruce were great hosts - available but not intrusive. The property is lovely, extremely well fenced with a huge area for dogs to run around in. The gardens are very colourful and the beautiful flowers in the house (Proteas as well as a little bunch of mixed flowers in the bathroom) were a special surprise. The provisioning was exceptional: thanks again to you both, we will certainly recommend to others and hope to be able to visit again soon. We have returned home with two very tired dogs!! Oct 2018After an exhausting 4 days walking the 3 Capes Track arriving at this comfortable piece of heaven was just what the doctor ordered. With every comfort thought of (including the Lindt balls) we were happy to stay put until our feet recovered! We were very close to our visit to the Fat Pig Farm Friday Feast which was convenient to roll home and loll around on the grass like fat pigs ourselves! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
