Mar 2022What an amazingly unique cottage ! Communication with the manager was easy and the directions were great . But the house ….. the photos just don’t do it justice ! Everything was of high quality and there was everything there to make for a relaxing stay . The kitchen was so well stocked and practical to use with plenty of cooking and eating utensils. We ate fresh oranges from the orchard on the property and sat relaxing in the gorgeous north east sun on the back verandahs . It was great to have an easy to use laundry and the extra toilet was appreciated. Our only issue was that it was too warm for us to be able to use the outside fire pit or the fire inside ! It must be wonderful in winter . It looked well designed for people who might stay for the snow and it was only a 25 minute drive to Bright if you could tear yourself away from the view ! It is within an easy walk to a brewery and Mt Beauty is so close . There is a little traffic noise but this was such a small price to pay for the artistic details snd craftsmanship that is exhibited in this cottage . It was so hard to leave . Until next time ……. Nov 2015We stayed in the cottage for 4 nights whilst snowboarding every day. The cottage is beautifully set out and comfortable. Nov 2015We stayed here during the last weekend in November. The property had everything that we needed. It was in a great location, clean, well stocked kitchen utilities and bathroom and the host Sonia was more than attentive.

Apr 2022We loved staying at this cottage as it had every comfort anyone could need! It was beautifully decorated, super clean and felt like a home away from home! Beds are most comfortable (important to me as I have a bad hip). We loved sitting on the balcony for breakfast, admiring the mountain view and listening to the birds! One little minus is the close proximity to the road with some traffic noise but we knew that before we booked.... Sonja was most helpful and prompt in her contacting us. We will definitely go back! Jul 2020We had a lovely brief getaway to this perfectly maintained cottage, located in the valley below Mt Beauty and neighbouring peaks. Very effective wood burning heater made it cosy. Pantry and bathroom stocked with everything we could need. Communications by text and email were all prompt, welcoming and helpful. Jul 2016We enjoyed our 2 night stay, we have a 3 year old and the place was warm and friendly with all equipment that you could need.
Beds were comfortable, open fire was a nice touch along with the heating in each room.

Nov 2019This house is amazing! It so sooo comfortable and has every conceivable 'extra' you will ever need. Not just a few kitchen items, but as many or more than in your own home.
It is large in all respects, including the bathroom, complete with spa bath.
The decor is all timber - beautifully crafted - plus mosaics and much more!
The gardens are really lovely - either on the deck facing two directions towards the mountains, or lower down in a quiet secluded area, complete with BBQ.
Plus orange and lemon (and Grapefruit?) trees and lovely flowers.

It was perfect for our family of 5 and one of the cleanest properties I have ever stayed in with everything we needed provided right down to relaxing bath salts perfect for a spa after a long day skiing. The location is great, a short 20 mins to the foot of Mt Bogong and a quick walk to the cafes and bakeries. It is lovely to be able to eat on the veranda and look at the view. Sep 2016My partner and I feel although we couldn't have picked a better spot to stay for our snowboarding weekend. The cottage had everything anyone could need and more - a beautiful big spa bath, lovely living area with a roaring fireplace and generous balcony and outdoor area with a beautiful outlook. It was also incredibly clean. Sonja was lovely and made sure the fire had warmed up the house for our arrival. May 2017Had a very enjoyable stay at cute Trappers Cottage. It is very comfortable, well equipped and with the extra touches which make the cottage very welcoming, including an endless supply of wood for the fire. Look out to Mt Bogong or climb to the top to see forever on a clear day.
We especially loved the beautiful craftsmanship in the woodwork and the quirky but very clever reuse/recycling in and around the property. Trappers cottage is within easy walking of delightful Mt Beauty, resplendent with autumn colours when we visited.
