Il Verreno is beautiful, a wonderful place to stay and explore Tuscany.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Everything about the venue is very immaculate and beautiful. Beautiful rooms, perfect bed & linen, bathrooms, everything. Dinner served (at an extra charge) is outstanding. It is even better through the high attentiveness of Silvia, who is managing the venue, and brings constant attention to her guests. Highly recommend!

Lovely spacious room, nice views, good location to visit vineyards.

Some of the breakfast items are probably refreshed only every few days - for example some of the pastries and some of the bread items were fresh one day, then just got more and more stale by the time we left. Also, not sure if just a coincidence, but we were the only couple there, everyone else were families with young children.

Wonderful place with a great view to the Tuscan countryside, beautiful and extremely silent pool / relaxing area and extraordinary lovely staff (Silvia and the team are absolutely kind and charming !) Not to forget the fantastic dinner we had at Cucina Donnaluisa :)

Nothing to dislike

The breakfast was fabulous with many options from which to choose. The room was very comfortable with nice towels and linens.

We liked the place, overall.It was very nice, clean and confortable. The kitchen is amazing.

The AC did't work properly. The bathroom needs a ventilation system.

One of the air conditioners in our apartment didn’t work but the others were all fine.

The hotel was beautiful and very peaceful. The pool area was lovely and the views stunning. We had lunch on the first day in the restaurant which was also excellent.

The location is extremely remote and there aren’t taxi services. We stayed as we were attending a wedding round the corner but we were quoted €120 for a return journey which was less than 15 mins away. If you plan to do anything outside the hotel it’s very challenging unless you drive.

Everything regarding our experience at Il Verreno was absolutely great! From the lovely staff, Especially Sylvia! to the food, which was absolutely extarodinary! To the beautiful location based on a hill with a great view. If you have the chance, the only thing that you need to think of is the date that best suits you :) Thanks for a great vacation!

The place is nicely set among the Tuscan hills. Nice views and a very good restaurant Cucina Donnaluisa. Silvia was very nice and attentive, from our arrival, partly dinner and breakfast and then check-out. She is taking very good care of the place and pulling it for others. Compliments to Sandra, as well. The room was nice and spacious, although you could smell the moisture, quite typical for older Tuscan agriturismos… Dinner was excellent, compliment to chef Luisa. I personally do not like being served by 4 different waiters throughout the meal (whoever is available), would prefer 1, but that is how they do it… All in all, a nice stay. Probably would be even better in May/June with open pool and with just a few other touches…

The rest of the staff is very unattentive. For breakfast you need to point them out that they need to welcome you with a “Buona mattina/Good morning” and tell you where you can sit… Instead of that, you walk into the restaurant and complete silence, they see you and continue to mind their own business. After your direct remarks, they wake up. Breakfast a bit too limited, wish there was a broader choice. For the price range, the entire service should be on a bit higher level (dinner and breakfast). Silvia is an exception…

excellent restaurant quite and discrete staff

We loved everything. The service, the food, the room-it was big and comfortable. It was amazing and we are definitely will go back. Silvia the best host we can ask for Highly reccomended!!!
