Spring Valley is a wonderful neighborhood in Las Vegas. It’s just two miles from The Strip, and it’s known for its large, lavish homes. This makes choosing a Spring Valley house rental an ideal option for families and large groups who want to stay close to all the action, but a little away from the noise and nonstop atmosphere of the busiest parts of the city. You might find Spring Valley the right spot to call home while you’re exploring the top places to visit in Las Vegas, which include the following must-see attractions.

The Casinos of Vegas

If you’re a gambler, hitting the casinos is a must. But even if you’re not fond of the slots or table games, Las Vegas casinos have so many other things to do, see and experience that they’re worth a visit. For example, Mandalay Bay has an 11-acre beach playground with three pools, an expanse of white sand, a lazy river and a wave pool, while the Golden Nugget has a water slide that shoots you right through the casino’s shark tank.

The Shows on the Vegas Strip

Almost every casino has its own entertainment options. For example, you could head to the Bellagio to watch the fountains before heading inside for O by Cirque du Soleil. Or, you could take in some of the national headliners making the casinos their residency. Past examples of resident entertainers include Elton John, Celine Dion and Britney Spears, all of whom called Vegas home for a slew of shows. Best of all, when you rent a vacation home in Spring Valley, you’re just minutes from all the wonder that the casinos offer.

The Great Outdoors

You’ll also be within easy driving distance of some of the Vegas area’s best outdoor recreation. Within about 15 minutes, you can drive to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a ruggedly beautiful spot in which to snap photos and take a hike. The Hoover Dam is roughly 30 miles south of Vegas. It stretches across the Black Canyon dividing Arizona and Nevada. The Hoover Dam is one of the most recognized landmarks in the country, and it draws more than one million visitors every year. Guided tours and views from the observation area on the third floor are among the top draws.

The Rides

Vegas is filled with thrills, and when you’re staying in Spring Valley, you’re just minutes away from some of the top attractions in the city. Take in the sights from atop the High Roller Observation Wheel at The Linq, a 520-foot-tall Ferris wheel with stunning views of The Strip. Or, head to the Fremont Street Experience to zip line 10 stories above the walkway. Fremont Street also has a light show that illuminates the area every six minutes between the hours of 6 p.m. until 1 a.m., with more than 12 million lights and a booming 550,000-watt sound system.
