Nestled in Sullivans Island, this attractive condo for $446 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to 'Seaglass Serenity'... Incredible location.... Beachfront at the mouth of Charleston Harbor, this charming ground floor condominium has views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Charleston Harbor. The wide sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, or launching small sailboats. The National Park Service and the Town of Sullivan's Island maintain over a mile of undeveloped, protected beach and maritime forest adjacent to the property where you can have undisturbed strolls on the beach. The condo is immediately next door to Fort Moultrie, a National Historic Site with museum and tours, that played significant roles in both the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Fort Sumter, site of the first conflict of the Civil War, can be seen across the harbor. The main channel into Charleston lies nearby, allowing clear views of every ship passing into or out of the harbor. Dolphins play just offshore. This condo is one of four individually owned units that were originally built as Army Nurse's quarters circa 1910, and are the only vacation rental beachfront condominiums on Sullivan's Island. This unique historic property preserves the charm of the hundred-year-old structure, but this unit has been renovated and professionally decorated to appeal to today's traveler. The condominium features large front and back screened porches with ceiling fans, rocking chairs, swing, and dining area. The remodeled back porch features a Charleston Bed Swing. Inside, the original hardwood floors give the condominium the feel of an old Southern beach cottage, while providing all modern amenities including flat-panel HDTVs (2) with Cable TV, stereo with iPod dock, and High Speed Wi-Fi. The ground floor location allows easy access with parking only a few steps away. The condo has two bedrooms with the beach-side bedroom having a queen bed, while the rear bedroom has two singles. Sullivan's Island provides a location that is quiet, uncrowded, with a very relaxed lifestyle. There is not a single traffic light on the island. The island is primarily residential; yet it has several excellent restaurants, post office, library, art gallery, and small grocery store within a mile of the condo. The three-mile-long island is perfect for exploring by bicycle or golf cart. Public tennis courts and playground are just down the street. Cozy home in an ideal location especially for beach lovers. Well stocked over and above with everything needed. Much used screened front porch with swing, rockers, and table. Small and very comfortable house. Can’t think of even one improvement to suggest.

We absolutely loved this place. The owners provided top of the line bedding, towels and extras. The place is beautiful and the location was amazing! We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed watching the ships roll in and out of the Charleston Bay. We enjoyed seeing the sand crabs every night on the beach. We could not have asked for more. We will definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect get away place! Right on the beach, chairs to watch the sunset every night and a screened in porch for lunch and dinner. This had a great cottage feel, very clean and had everything you needed!

What was planned as a sister's trip last fall turned out to also be a celebration of my husband's (their brother's) life. We had not stayed in this unit before but loved every minute being there. As children, they visited their grandfather at this property. He lived upstairs in the unit that is a personal residence. They spent every summer playing on the beach and hours and hours exploring Ft. Moultrie, sleeping on the porch and listening to the ships at night. After the graveside service at Magnolia Cemetery, we brought our children back to visit because they had never been inside any of the units. We had pictures on display of my husband from those early years for follks to enjoy. Reminiscing through the pictures and looking out to where it all happened was an incredible joy for us all. To be able to share those memories with 2 more generations! They spent time on the beach, time at the fort, and hours talking and laughing. It was the perfect closure for us. Thank you for the chance to enjoy Sea Glass and the Serenity we found there. We soaked up all the low country life we possibly could! The condo is so comfortable and beautiful. The books, the history, the decor all added to the comfort we found. We look forward to our next trip and hope it will be soon!!!

Like so many all over the country we chose Christmas week to travel w/ the biggest winter storm they called a “lifetime event!” It was 19 degrees on the island and the HVAC broke!! No one’s fault, but maintenance responded as best they could and the owners were very accommodating!!! Thus said, there isn’t a better spot on Sullivans! We love this location and will continue to come back! It truly is a little piece of heaven!!

We had a rough beginning at Sea Glass Serenity Cottage! The weather was cold and damp and the heater did not function nor the air conditioning for our entire 5 day stay! Thankfully, the weather improved and we were comfortable. The owner could not apologized enough and had heaters delivered. However, we could not use them since they blew the fuses! A technician arrived and a part had to ordered which did not arrive during our stay! Despite the above we had a glorious time. The location and view made everything almost PERFECT!

Not only is the view spectacular, but the apartment is lovely. We spent all our time on the front porch, but did manage to nap on the swing bed on the back porch:) Inside was comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. We will definitely want to stay next time we're visiting the family.

The condo is very charming & cozy. It is stocked & equipped with anything you’ll need during your stay. The porch is amazing! A lot of time was spent there. We utilized the chairs taking in the gorgeous views & sounds. Luckily for us we had perfect weather during our stay. If we had a grill, we may have never left the property & beach area close by. There are plenty of candies available but I would recommend taking a battery powered lantern because those wonderful beach breezes will easily blow them out . Bug repellent is available but we chose to get our own all natural kind. You will need it if you venture beyond the screened in porches in evenings. Friend of ours are locals so we were able to enjoy a few outings on it. I’d recommend doing a charter tour if you can. Shem Creek never disappoints on meals & dolphins! However, Hall’s Chophouse downtown Charleston is absolutely amazing! We could easily see ourselves enjoying life there on a permanent basis. It was that nice of a stay. If you’re on the fence, just do it! Plan on spending more time enjoying the home, property & beach instead of going out. That’s where the real beauty of it all is.

It is only in deference to the owners that I give away the super location and comfort of this property. This was our second visit and we sang its praises each and every day we were there. The view, the porch, the beds and decor leave nothing to say but relax and welcome home.
Check out Annie's Hot Donuts and Page's Okra Grill in Mount Pleasant. We went to Annie's almost every day after we discovered it and twice to Page's - all 4 of us had such a good experience there the first time - we made it our farewell dinner. The quality of the Fried Oysters, Seafood Mac & Cheese, Fried Flounder, Red Rice, Shrimp &Grits and apparently, for the non seafood eater the best chicken sandwich she ever had left us oohing and ahhing during and after each meal. And, BTW, we went to fancier places in Charleston and I can tell you for sure, we'd all go back to Page's instead.
Thank you again for our stay. We left feeling that nothing could have been improved upon!

This unit is so cozy and comfortable. We so enjoyed staying here. Amazing attention to detail. This unit is on the ground floor and just steps form ship watching, dolphin watching and the most amazing sunsets. Love this little place in paradise.

Great small cabin right on the beach next to Ft Moultrie. Would stay again. Heat went out but the owner replied right away and helped us rectify the situation. Very responsive.
