The home was clean and comfortable. Owners on site and were very friendly and attentive to any questions or needs that we had.

We had a short weekend stay with 5 of our kids, ages 7-14. This place was great, clean and comfortable, right on the beach, and lots of beach equipment included for use. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time staying here for the weekend. The house was very pleasant and we had plenty of room for the 8 of us that were staying. The hosts were nice and helpful and we had very easy access to the beach. Would definitely stay there again!

We wish the weather would have cooperated, but we still had a good time. Overall, the house was nice but there were a couple of issues such as a bathroom shower that was leaking downstairs and we were not able to use it so six people had to use one shower. There were several tiny, baby roaches in the kitchen and bathrooms, and also in the bedroom that we had to kill. Overall, the location of the house was really good. However, there was a lot of noise outside with people being really loud even at 11:30 PM at night. Not sure if there is a noise ordinance after a certain time , or not. The unit itself was nicely decorated and the owners were nice

This older home is very clean and is decorated well. Owner met us and was efficient and friendly. Location is on the beach and has a boardwalk out the back door.! We rented the 4 bedroom and we did not realize that we did not have the whole house. Renters were below us. The other groups were friendly and not a problem but we had to be careful of noise. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is the parking. Only 2 spaces allotted for each unit. We had 10 in our party and had to resolve parking 3 midsize cars. Overflow parking is more than 2 miles down the beach and was an additional cost. The home however was clean and met our housing needs.

The unit is very clean and has “old beach house” charm. The feel of great grandmas home, subtle to strong musty odor, outdated appliances (oven temp light does not work so you have to guess the temp, fridge door does not shut without a shove, washer works when it wants to), unlevel floors, bathrooms that are very narrow, shower head 5 1/2 feet from floor, old stained tub, toilet 3 inches from wall. Windows in home do not have coverings except for bedrooms - which are thin curtains that do not block bright light from neighboring condo building. We were provided 2 partial roles of toilet paper, a partial roll of paper towel, 2 small hotel bar soaps, 2 dishwasher pods and a small bottle of dish soap - for a 9 day stay. Linens and towels are extra charge, bed linens were plentiful, one towel and wash cloth per person. When we booked this “home” 10 months ago it was represented as a “beach house” the ad even spoke of the beautiful 3rd floor view. VRBO advertises single dwellings / structures and no owner contact. We quickly found out that this was the opposite as we were greeted by one of the owners for a tour, she stated that she and her husband reside above but “would not bother us.” It was not the beach house we thought we rented but one floor of a beach house (there are 2 units below and one above - where the owners live). The outside space for gathering (where the one grill and corn home are) is actually shared by all units. The beautiful back porch of the unit is up against the shared space, there was no private space for our family to gather. The owner was present daily, blowing sand off the walk in the am with a leaf blower and doing multiple other tasks right outside the windows and by the porch. It was very uncomfortable as we were expecting private space our family could enjoy. During our visit we contacted VRBO with our concern of the misrepresentation of the property and owner contact. The VRBO Representative we spoke with stated she would escalate our concern and discussed finding us alternate accommodations. A few hours later I received an email stating that our case was closed. AND, the description of the property was changed to condo and references to the third floor and such were removed from the listing. I will not rent through VRBO again as they did not stand behind their advertised business model. On the positive side: unit is very clean and has direct access to the beach which is beautiful.

Myself and 2 girl friends stayed here. We loved the entire experience and would definitely be back.

I thought I had rented the whole house, but that wasn’t the case! Instead I had only rented the second floor of the house! The house was four separate units with tenants occupying the bottom floors! The weather was very nasty, so instead of having my mom’s celebration of life on the beach, we had to stay inside which disturbed the tenants underneath us! I was told it sounded like a “heard of Buffalo”! There are only 2 parking spaces for a rental that says it can accommodate 10 guests! You have the option to park your car at the owner’s friends house for $10 or $15 a day depending on the size of your vehicle! The friends house is about 2 miles away from the property. Not convenient! My guest that came to the property had to pay for parking! I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy time with my family instead I had to taxi people back and forth to their cars! It seems there should be more information upfront, so others can be more informed prior to booking.

We have a beautiful time. There was beach gear and games that we hadn't expected that make it more enjoyable. The online listing didn't show all the bedrooms and bathrooms so we weren't sure what to expect. Everything worked out well and we had a great time.

Perfect spot to easily walk to the ocean and the boardwalk. We would definitely stay there again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners were great and quick to answer questions or give advice on what to do. Very approachable. Provided beach chairs which I was very grateful for because we spent most of our time there. Would love to visit again.

We absolutely loved this house, which is directly on Carolina Beach! Genevieve has it set up so well, we couldn't have been happier. We are a family of 6, so having 4 bedrooms to spread out was great. We would happily stay here again!

Nice house, the owner’s are nice and friendly. Always take time to talk to you. Only problem I could see, there parking is limited to smaller cars. But they did work with us. About it.

Our first family vacation after Covid quarantine- and what a great week. Grandkids seeing the ocean for the first time - priceless moment. What an excellent location. Everything we needed with great access to the beach and great hosts! We’ve never seen cleaner windows! Beds were so comfy! Our neighbors staying in lower level were so sweet. Excellent noise-proof floors and ceilings. Everything we needed in the kitchen, too.

Loved our stay. We had a wonderful time. The only thing I would have liked to have known upfront was that the AC is regulated and can only go down to 72 degrees. It was hot and uncomfortable sleeping even with fans blowing. In the heat of the summer, the 72 is probably just fine but when it’s 75 and muggy outside, 72 in the house just feels hot and sticky when you are trying to sleep. Other than this, the place was perfect!

Owners were nice and very receptive to messages and answered quickly. House is on the beach and it was so relaxing just sitting and listening to waves. Was an awesome place for us to spend time together and not be crowded. Will definitely stay again in the future!

All of the units were immaculately clean . And the warm greeting we received made it feel more like home than just a vacation spot. Also the views were amazing I would highly recommend anyone to come to this location I promise you will resubmit another vacation date as soon as you get home I know did.

This was a cute and clean little beach house. However there were some concerns with our stay which is why I only gave 3 stars. Parking was an issue when you are renting a 4 bedroom home and not all family can drive in the same car. We also received a text from the host who lives upstairs to quiet down around 10:41 due to a noise ordinance (which I verified is 11) while we were indoors playing games and listening to music with the windows open. Kind of what everyone does on the weekend while on vacation. Because of this I would not return, but wish them all the best.

Great location with perfect beach access. Beds were comfy, plenty of deck seating and well-stocked with beach toys and chairs. We really appreciated the fans in the bedrooms and the overall cleanliness of the unit, too.
