Situated in Mount Pleasant, this charming condo for $185 per night is a great option for your next break. This beautiful and immaculately renovated ground floor studio on Shem Creek, in the heart of Mt Pleasant, SC is the perfect place to experience the charm of the Lowcountry. A large and private lot with separate pathways throughout have all added to the privacy of this studio. The studio is centrally located between Downtown Historic Charleston, the beaches of Sullivans Island, and Isle of Palms. This picturesque property provides views of a five-acre fresh water lake, marshland and gorgeous sunsets. Two kayaks, two bikes and two paddle boards are provided free-of-charge so that you can paddle down the creek to dinner or bike to the many restaurants and shops on Coleman Blvd. Guests are welcome to bring and dock their own boat for an extra charge (we are only 1.5 miles from the Charleston Harbor by water). This bird lovers paradise showcases marsh and fresh water birds throughout almost 2 acres of land (Bald eagles, ospreys and otters have been spotted on the lake). Enjoy the shade of the property's southern live oak trees or soak up the sun as you fish or crab off the deep water dock. I loved my stay in Mount Pleasant. This VRBO is centrally located-just over the bridge from Charleston. The owner and her husband where very helpful and accommodating. The lake and the creek (right outside the windows...) were serene and provided solitary reflection time. Sullivans beach and town are a bike ride away. What a wonderful stay. Love to come again.

As soon as walked in the door and took a look at the studio and the view we knew why it had so many 5 star reviews. Jackie was great! Very hospitable and great to communicate with. We had an awesome time and started planning our next visit before we even finished this one, lol

The studio is light, bright, and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. Full kitchen well stocked. The grounds are absolutely outstanding! Great views from studio windows and dock. The fire pit was an amazing place to watch the sunset. The property owners were easy to work with, friendly, but respected our privacy. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! The apartment was clean and beautiful. The property is in a lovely spot on Shem Creek. My husband and I used the bikes to go to the beach. It was perfect! Jackie is so kind! We will definitely stay again when we come back!

We loved staying at this studio on Shem creek. It was a scene right out of a book with all the picturesque landscape and views. Right down the road to Charleston with some of our most enjoyed eating spots down the road. A must stay, for sure! We will be back.

Shem Creek is an amazing experience. The view out the window is beautiful. Fishing on the dock is peaceful. There's endless wildlife to take in. If you're looking to plan a trip to Charleston, South Carolina this is the best place to stay. It's close to the airport. It's close to the city, and a wonderful experience. The room is wonderful and has all the amenities that anyone could need. Jackie and Chris are great hosts.

Jackie and Chris have created a lovely retreat on their property and we are so glad we were able to enjoy it for a few days. The studio is a beautiful space and the lake and creek are picture perfect. We enjoyed watching the sunset on the dock and seeing all the local birds come and go. We didn’t get to take advantage of the bikes, kayaks, or paddle boards, but hope to return and have more time to put them to use. The location is great for exploring being just across the bridge from Charleston. Jackie was a gracious host from start to finish, even being willing to add on a night when I realized my mistake in booking. We’d recommend this rental to anyone visiting the Charleston area and would stay again in a heartbeat. The studio was VERY clean and has all the amenities you’d need!

My husband and I stayed in the studio for a long weekend and it was the perfect spot. Sitting on the dock looking at Shem Creek is so peaceful and quiet. We loved the short drive to Sullivan’s Island or downtown for so many great restaurants. The studio has everything you need and more! The biscuits and jam were delicious and so kind! Wow, wow, wow. I had really high expectations for this spot based off the website & it exceeded them in every way possible. The apartment is adorable, has plenty of space, perfectly furnished & has all the amenities, accessorites you could ask for. Bathroom & kitchen were updated & clean. Everything about the inside of the apartment was as good as you could ask for, but the outside is the real show stopper. From the lake right outside your front door, to the private peninsula of land that the owner happily shared with us, to the dock on the waterway, to the Adirindak chairs spread actoss the yard, to the fire pit we didn't even have time to enjoy...it was a home run in every direction we turned. We had a fantastic time using the kayaks on the creek & even got to try paddleboarding for the first time. Jackie couldn't have been a more welcoming host. One of our favorite stays we've ever had. We'll defenitely come back here.

My husband and I were here for a short stay and we absolutely loved it. It was super clean and beautifully decorated. The furnishings were luxurious, right down to the plush Pottery Barn towels. Jackie was very welcoming and communicative. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the boats on Shem
Creek. We also enjoyed our 17 mile bike ride to the Old Village and Sullivan’s Island. We hated to leave! Perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

If I could give this 10 stars I would!! What an amazing property! The bed was maybe the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We loved exploring and watching all of the wildlife. The hosts were so attentive and thought of everything and more. Thank you and we will be back!!!

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at the studio on Shem Creek. The property itself was magnificent - the room, bed, and amenities were great, and the property was gorgeous. We took out kayaks and enjoyed the dock deck. It is perfectly located between Charleston and Sullivan's Island, and Mt. Pleasant itself was great. Would definitely recommend for any weekend getaway.

My wife and I spent two peaceful evenings at the Shem Creek studio. The lodgings were exceptionally well appointed with everything in its place.
The curated grounds are absolutely spectacular.
Our only dilemma was should we sit in the Adirondacks just outside our door and watch the turtles in the feeder pond or should we sit on the swing and watch the beautiful scene unfolding on Shem Creek? Choices. Choices.

The studio was beautifully decorated, very clean, a very comfortable bed, and had everything and more for our stay. The honey and fig preserves were delicious that the owners made. I don't even know where to begin to tell you what a wonderful 5 day experience we had staying in The Studio on Shem Creek. Chris and Jackie welcomed us with open arms and we felt so at home. We island hopped during the day and always made sure we came back to watch the sunsets from the dock. The propriety is like a wildlife reserve.....we spent time watching bald eagles, ducks, turtles, crab, herron, hawks, geese, and so much more. We even watched Chris gear up and take honey from the bee hives. So cool and we look forward to coming back. There is so much to do in the area we couldn't fit it all in. Jackie & Chris's studio on Shem Creek is absolutely beautiful! The studio is clean, well stocked and has big windows to overlook the pond and wildlife. We had an air conditioning issue the first night, but Jackie was on it the very next day and the whole unit was replaced. They went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied after this problem.
The biscuits and the homemade Fig jam & honey were such a welcoming treat! We were not there long enough to be able to use some of the fun kayaks and bikes,but we enjoyed watching the ducks, turtles, cardinals, Blue Heron and the Bald Eagle out on the pond. We would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area, some amazing sunsets here also! Thank you Jackie & Chris

We had an incredible stay. Jackie and Chris are great people, and their property is amazing! I wished the weather was warmer to take advantage of the creek more but we had zero complaints. The large windows in the studio made it perfect to watch the wildlife on the lake when it was too chilly to sit outside. The property is in a perfect location. And the homemade honey and jam was such a thoughtful touch. 10/10 can’t recommend them enough! We will certainly be back!
