Ashok and Renuka make your stay easy and smooth. They treat you like family.

The location. Quiet area very close to two top beaches. The apartment is great for two persons, very comfortable. Fantastic sunrise from the terrace. Birds everywhere. The kindness of the owners Ashok and Renuka. Always here to help. And a cool dog. We feel so good here that we have decided to book for another week.

Never go there again or recommend to anyone !.

11. The lady in attendance was extremely helpful and kind.

1. Neighbors Barking dogs (2 of them right below our bedroom, I had to through water on them to keep them quite) through the nights also dragged their eating bools make a noise. 2. Both fans were very noisy (because they were old). 3. Cupboard they were only 5 bent wire hangers for 2 of us for 26 nights. 4. Shower doors do not slide close, had to lift up the doors to close them. 5. We were placed on the 2nd floor (not mentioned on the web site when booking) which was extremely difficult to cart luggage up/down. 6. There was no pool. 7. kitchen utensils were very basic and at the bare minimum. 8. the pics of our apartment not as is. i.e. 8a. Veranda had no table and chairs and to narrow to fit a table and had fitted Aircon compressors. 8b. View "as advertised" sea/mountain/city were just about nonexistent, looked straight into the next door neighbor's house wall. 9. We spent 2 nights there due to the fact it was dreadful while finding alternate accommodation (not through "booking.com). 10. We were told that a % refund was not possible as it is "booking.com's policy not to refund the customer.

Excellent

It was our first time traveling to Mauritius and we booked the impala for our stay with my husband, actually we got married in Mauritius and had our wedding pictures taken in The impala. The rooms are very very spacious which accomodated photographers and make up artist and our few family to be there for the pictures and video with no space problem. All the rooms kitchen, washroom living room and bedrooms were very clean and we were offered cleaning services and breakfast. The beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the Impala so we were able to head there whenever we have no plans to go far in Mauritius, there were also area around the beach to do our grilling which made it more memorable. It is located in a very safe area with many hotels and restaurants in walking distance, so it was common to see foreigners walking to restaurants even at night. Which made it not only safe but convenient for us newly weds to grab dinner at nearby restaurants when we didn't feel like having a home cooked meal. The days we cooked at home, the kitchen had more than enough utensils for us and our family who also booked stayed at impala for our wedding. But most of all, the owner and his wife are very friendly, helpful and kind people. They helped us with our many questions patiently including helped recommending my husband find a spot for proposal, place for our wedding pictures,places to visit and pkgs for tour on island which had water sport are jus a few . We couldn't have booked a better stay for our wedding and found ourselves talking now that we need to go back there again sometime.

Recommended stay for relaxed stay.

Renuka & Ashok have been absolutely lovely. Sheeba the black labrador dog is very friendly. I feel very at home here. Location is excellent between two very popular beaches. I personally would recommend Mon Choisy. Parking is very easy in front of the property. The apartment is exceptional for the money. Bed is comfortable, there is a shower, fans, fully functioning kitchen for a short stay (stayed for a week). Breakfast is excellent (omelette is well made). I would most likely stay again. Recommended.

A perfect stay

The location is perfect just 2 min walk to the best beaches ib Mauritius . 3 min by bus ti troux aux biches 10 min drive to grandbay Very nice breakfast they offer whi h is fresh and the coffee is amazing . The cleanliness is just on spot all the house is properly cleaned and always fresh . The toilet is well maintained and the hot water always available. There is supermarket beside the hotel , and restaurants

Exceptional

The Impala is a family business and you can really feel the effort for the guests of the owners. I got a big appartment, even for four people it would still be huge. The kitchen was really well equipped. I had been on the road for a long time and I was even allowed to use the washing machine. What I like the most was the kindness of the owners, everyday we had a little chat and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. And all that for a low price. Thank you so much!

AVOID THIS RUNDOWN DUMP!

THIS 'APARTMENT' SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM Booking.com FOR FALSE REPRESENTATION. Upon arrival, Property badly maintained and mould stains on outer wall, overgrown garden, not a good 1st impression. Owners dog jumping up at guests, not under control. Outside door lock broken and secured with screwdriver to keep closed, = No security. Inside apartment, Broken bedroom door, with door- frame detached from wall. Exposed electrical cables in wall Dangerous 'homemade' electrical leads. Refrigerator leaking water over floor. TV not functional, no satelite channels as stated. Dust everywhere from nearby construction. Old used soap in bathroom Bed linen smelt bad and unclean. Claimed Mountain View, NO, just building next door only 2 metres away viewed through barred windows. Air con only in bedroom, and this did not function correctly, no temperature adjustment available. very basic breakfast options offered. No smoke alarm in room as stated. when the owner was questioned about the broken doors, electrical cables, he admited he knew about the problems but deemed them all acceptable! when questioned about the facilities listed on BOOKING.COM but not available in This apartment he blamed BOOKING.COM for adding inccorect details? we paid in advance for three nights, Only stayed one night under protest then left this dirty rundown establishment. Avoid nasty Terrible

Good

Really nice and friendly hosts, that support at any questions. Perfect omelette breakfast. Nice and clean, even the furniture is already a bit dated. Had a whole apartment with bedroom, big living room and kitchen for my own.

Unfortunately during my stay there was construction work at neighbors house. That caused grinder noise the whole day. Not hosts failure, but should be known.
