Located directly across from Mount Sopris Park in downtown Carbondale, this modern, spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom connected apartment truly has it all. Enjoy tall ceilings, a remodeled full kitchen, spacious living and dining area with television, desk space, master bedroom with queen-sized bed, and queen-sized Murphy bed. Cruise around quaint Carbondale on your bike or walk across the street to gorgeous Mount Sopris park. The location, charm, and amenities of this space can't be beat! Spacious, modern, basement-level apartment with high ceilings and windows located in the heart of downtown Carbondale. The vacation space is located beneath the main house and central to the action of Carbondale family living; if you love being in the middle of it all while having the option to head out of town for a hike, or work remotely, then this space is for you! Enjoy cooking in your full kitchen or walking to all of the wonderful restaurants this gorgeous town has to offer!This space is located directly across from Sopris Park - a large park that hosts many events throughout the year - and one block from Main Street in Carbondale. We allow up to two pets to accompany you. Please read the pet policy below to make sure it works for your trip! This one bedroom, one bathroom space is perfect for two and can also accommodate four with the addition of a comfortable new Murphy bed located in the open dining. Enjoy a full kitchen, living room with TV, dining area (with Murphy bed), desk space, master bedroom with queen-sized bed, and a modern bathroom. Everything you could need for the perfect stay whether it's for work, visiting family & friends, or a vacation. The space has been fully remodeled and recently soundproofed to minimize noise from the attached main home upstairs. Please note that a regular amount of noise needs to be expected at times during the day as there is a family (with pets and children) that lives upstairs, directly above our guest space. If you are sensitive to noise, the apartment comes with a sleep noise machine for you, and you may also use the tv/stereo to muffle any traveling sounds. We like to mention this if you decide you would be better suited to rent in an area with more solitude instead of amongst locals and families in town. LICENSE # 12-2022 PLEASE NOTE: - PET POLICY: We allow up to two well-behaved DOGS in the space as long as they are disclosed to us before arrival. There is a $100 pet fee for every 7 nights at the home. Airbnb is only able to charge for the first 7-nights so, if you book for over 7 nights, we will send you the remaining pet fee through the resolution center after booking. If pets are not disclosed and the pet policies are not followed, there is a $500 fine. Pets cannot be left alone in the home alone (unless crated), dispose of pet waste, and please keep pets off of furniture. Please follow these rules if your dog is staying with us and help us keep this space pet-friendly for our guests! - Boutique Mountain Homes verifies identity and checks criminal databases for guests we host. After booking this space you will receive an email to complete your screening from our third-party guest verification company. By booking this space, you agree to complete this verification within 24 hours of booking. - We require the home to be cleaned every 14 days during a stay, a service that is included in your booking payment up to 29 nights. This apartment is truly a lovely spot. It has a great location, and, is situated with understated charm and welcoming additions. It is full sized, so, it has very high and spacious ceilings, just not a lot of sunlight. For our purposes it worked well since we were away during the day times. It was quite a comfortable spot to rest at night after a full day outdoors.

The place was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed it! And my husband and I both loved the small town feel in Carbondale compared to the hustle and bustle of Aspen!

This gem is situated at a great location, walking to main street, easy drive to ski resorts, everything inside has been updated, comfortable beds and sitting area. As a basement unit, you should expect some noise, at the same time it is very minimal while we were there.
A great rental also needs a great management team to provide communications that are timely, clear, actively listening (asking the right question to understand the underlying issues), respect diverse opinions, and mostly address what is important to the customer.
The management team for this unit has succeeded in providing great communications, after booking, during the stay, and after departure. I appreciate the effort the management team put in for this.
Only thing that I would love to see in this unit is adding a washer and dryer. A week of skiing without clean clothes was a bit of a challenge for us.

You’re in for a lovely stay at this Oasis in Carbondale. Comfortable and roomy with all the conveniences of home. Enjoy walking to all the shops and restaurants. If you like to ride bikes, the bike trail is easy to access.

We were not able to stay at the property due my wife's respiratory issues because of smoke from forest fires in the area and other states. We had gone to another area with similar air quality to Carbondale and she had breathing difficulties and had to make a hasty retreat back home.
Eight days prior to our planned arrival we notified the management company for the property that we would not be staying and asked them if they could find a way to provide any refund. They said they could not. This included the cleaning fee which would not be needed. We had hoped they could remarket the property and provide a little bit of relief. We did not expect a full refund. Even a token amount would have been appreciated.
Instead they twice charged for the security deposit. Once before the planned arrival and then again a day after the planned departure after the previous charge was reversed. They have said they will refund the second charge in a week.
The insurance they suggested we should have gotten would not cover for an issue that might occur.
We cannot recommend this property or any others managed by Cactus Vacations because of their pitiful and inflexible customer service. They have ways they do things and they cannot be changed.
Definitely do not plan to stay there if you have respiratory issues during fire season, even if there may be fires out of state. The smoke from California and Oregon goes directly into Colorado.

Great location
Carbondale itself is so cute and this house is walking distance to Main Street. We also went to Glenwood Springs and Aspen / Maroon Bells and the location of this house made it easy to do everything we wanted to do! Will definitely be back.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance to all Carbondale has to offer. Property was clean and easily accessible.

Comfortable and Great Location
We had a really lovely time staying in this basement level condo. It's a very comfortable, private and modern space. The temp in Carbondale was 85-90 a few days we were there, but the space always stayed really nice and cool.
Our only concern was with the metal grate stairs down to the unit. They're really sharp and our dog couldn't walk down them. We ended up using paper bags to cover half of each stair tread so she wouldn't cut her paws. There's also a really nice park across the street, but dogs aren't allowed in most of the parks. We were able to find other green spaces to hang out though, and there are several great hikes in the area too.
We were also able to easily walk to Main St to pick up some amazing food at Peppino's and Bonfire Coffee. Overall, we had an amazing time in Carbondale, and we look forward to visiting again soon!

Great 17th anniversary!!
This space was great for our anniversary trip. Carbondale is the quintessential mountain town with lots of open space and places to eat for even the pickiest of eaters. The property itself is 5 minutes or less walking time to everything in the heart of the town. It's just recently been completely remodeled and is beautifully done! High compliments on that aspect!! There were a couple of things that I thought maybe should be added/mentioned to their property description though. While this property does allow pets, there wasn't a great outdoor place for our dogs, so we had to trek over to the dog park 2-3 times a day so they could stretch their legs and do their business. They also don't allow you to leave them, even for a short period, neither out on their little patio area that is gated, or inside, unless crated so be prepared to take your dogs with you everywhere if you go out. I didn't see this in the initial description until we'd already booked our non-refundable stay, so this is just an FYI. We made due just fine, but it's nice to know these things ahead of time. They don't offer a washer/dryer, or iron, so make sure to pack well and plan ahead if you need to do any laundering. None of these are complaints, just information. My husband and I loved staying here and we will definitely keep this one on the list when we're back in this area. Thanks for an amazing trip!
