Most relaxing and enjoyable … highly recommended

Just about everything. Quiet but convenient location. Private accomodation at rear of property with secluded outdoor area. Onsite parking. Fully serviced accomodation set to a very high standard. Personal touches were very much appreciated. By far the best accomodation during our NZ road trip

Wundervolle Unterkunft mit herausragender Gastgeberin

Gerrys Unterkunft ist einfach wunderbar. Sie hat unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Die Unterkunft ist super sauber und geräumiger als wir dachten. Das Bett ist außerordentlich bequem und das Badezimmer lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig in einem Neubaugebiet Queenstowns. In ca. 15 Minuten erreicht man mit dem Auto die Innenstadt. Gerry selbst ist eine sehr warmherzige und liebe Dame, die es einem sehr einfach macht sich in ihrer Gegenwart wohl zu fühlen. Sie ist einfach eine fantastische Gastgeberin. Sie stellt beispielsweise Frühstück zur Verfügung, spült das Geschirr und wäscht kostenfrei die Kleidung ihrer Gäste. Daneben hält sie weitere kleine Überraschungen für einen bereit. Sie hat tolle Tipps für die Umgebung und kam uns sowohl mit dem Check-In als auch mit dem Check-Out zeitlich entgegen. Dies ist aus unserer Sicht nicht selbstverständlich und wir haben uns sehr darüber gefreut. Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Gerry übernachten und empfehlen die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter.

Quiet, cosy and affordable

The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, with all the amenities required. There was enough space for two people and it was beautifully quiet. The location was nice, being so close to the Five Mile shopping precinct and restaurants, without having to deal with the masses of traffic heading in/out of Queenstown during rush hour.

Gerry was lovely and like a kind auntie who genuinely seemed interested in us and what we were up to in Queenstown. If you choose a b&b for extra privacy this may not be the place for you as she went into the room often while we were out to do our dishes, hang out the towels and leave us sweet treats.

Hospitality on a superior level

Absolutely everything, the apartment is like brand new, sparkling clean with a pleasant scent. There is everything you need and all is kept to perfection. Above all though is Gerry’s hospitality, you immediately feel her kindness even before arriving. She will make sure that your stay is beyond your expectations, any detail is looked after and you can feel her warmth is a truly genuine one.

I could spend 24 hours thinking of some thing I didn’t like and still come up with nothing. I would give 100/10 if that was possible.

A home away from home

Gerry was the most generous and welcoming of hosts and it was an absolute pleasure to meet her. Every little detail was thought of - comfortable bed, everything meticulously clean, lovely warm bathroom, generous range of breakfast foods, even a dishwashing/laundry/bed making service! The location is just out of Queenstown, a quick easy drive and nice and quiet at night. Highly recommend staying here - we will be next time we’re in Queenstown!

Gerry's the best!

Gerry is the best host that we have come across by far. Generous beyond words. Kept the room spotless and also helped with laundry and dishes! Her breakfast was perfect too. It's the perfect place close to Queenstown and the shops at Frankton but very peaceful. We would definitely stay here again!

Only minor thing was that the bed was a little soft, otherwise everything was great!

Best stay on our whole trip through New Zealand

Everything was perfect, we’ve had a wonderful time at blue skies! We didn’t miss anything and the communication with the host was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate staying here again and will recommend it to anyone travelling to Queenstown.

Exceptional

The owner was very lovely and she prepared every single thing that you could think of, from the little welcoming board to all the breakfast options such as toast, cereal and oats. She even offered to do the dishes and laundry for you. Room is very tidy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there and felt very homey about the place.

Loved loved loved!

Everything was amazing. Communication was outstanding and Gerry was sending me messages like you can check in early if you want and you can check out when you like! When we went to a wedding, we came back to bed made with treats and our pjs folded! The room was stunning when we first arrived. Snacks, cereal, milk and yogurt on arrival! A+ would come back again

Tastefully decorated, beautifully appointed, immaculately and spotlessly clean, with an absolutely delightful host, in a strategically located and peaceful location, and reasonably priced, this is something we cannot recommend highly enough. Everything was 100%, and more. We will definitely, definitely come back.

This property is very clean with a cosy living area. The owner, Gerry is very friendly and helpful.

Room is very clean. Breakfast has multiple choice. Facilities are adequate. Gerry is very friendly and helpful.

There is no shampoo in the bathroom. Maybe it is intentional or unintentional but we have brought our own shampoo with us. Not a big problem.

Amazing! will stay again!

Our 3 day stay was amazing. Gerry was an amazing host, who came out to greet us on arrival. She was gracious enough to let us check in a few hours earlier then scheduled. The cottage was clean, comfortable and smelt good. She supplied milk,bread and cereals.

BLUE SKIES" is one of the Best Accommodation. located in a beautiful Shotover Country with amazing views.The host Gerry is a lovely lady and goes beyond to help with anything. a wonderful stay

I had an amazing stay here. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space (including to store my large suitcase), the layout was well thought through, the boutique decorations were new and gave it a more luxury feeling, everything was pristine clean. The host was very helpful with useful tips and advice on local walks, spa and dining. A wonderful host!

Thoughtful hand-written notes, the personal touch you don't get at hotels. The unexpected, delicious treats; chocolates and lollies. The extras; cereals, milk, bread, yoghurt.

I didn't like that I had to leave! Blue Skies was perfect for me!

Blue Skies is an EXCELLENT place to stay. Gerry is the loveliest person, attentive and communicative

We LOVED everything about this place, it had everything you need. Gerry organised a really comfortable air mattress when another person joined us and the room is a lot bigger than expected, which was a really nice surprise and everything was well thought out and a lot of care has gone into this place. Gerry is an amazing host. She left us a range of breakfast options which was so nice. There is parking Infront of main house. Wifi is really good. About 15 ish minutes drive from main town centre, quiet neighborhood. Beautiful place, would recommend to anyone!
