A clean public restroom, wash area, and life guard station are located at the 34th street beach entrance along with rentals for beach chairs. umbrellas, and handicap wheelchairs. It just doesn't get more convenient than this! We offer an immaculately clean property with comfortable bedding, well stocked kitchen, modern baths, a covered, airy 2nd floor balcony/patio for dining or relaxing, large screen TV in living area and TV in each bedroom, full handicapped bath on 1st floor of condo, handicapped accessible patio, bike rack, designated desk/work area, laundry room, outdoor wash area, and numerous extra amenities await you for your stay. After years renting, we have finally been fortunate enough to be able to purchase a vacation place of our own in OCNJ! Offering our condo for rent to you, we hope that you'll be able to make as many wonderful memories as we have over the years. Since this is now our 'second' home, we also hope you'll find our property a little more well-kept and 'family friendly' than many vacation rentals and enjoy the little extra's that you'll find in our condo. We've included a Pac n' Play and a portable high chair for your use, and we're including beach tags, beach chairs, a beach cart, and a bag of beach toys for your use also; how well we remember the days of lugging ALL THAT STUFF!! DESIGNATED PARKING AREA for two cars and shared OUTDOOR SHOWER. In addition to the close proximity of the beach, our condo is in a prime location for all of your vacation needs. Just across the street is a whole block with modern playground and tennis and basketball courts. Within 4 blocks, or a short, quick walk, you'll find bicycle rentals, a fresh produce stand, WAWA, CVS, Acme, beach gear shops, seafood takeout restaurant, banks, ice cream shops, and bakery. Just downstairs is Randazzo's where you'll find some of the best Italian food and pizza on the Island. Take a 5 minute drive over the 34th street bridge (from your reserved parking space!!) you'll find the Marmora shopping area with a huge ShopRite, Dunkin Donuts, Urgent Care Center, Liquor stores, and and array of other speciality shops. A 5-10 minute car ride or leisurely bike ride, puts you in the center of town and the commercial district (from about 6th - 15th street) with gym, interesting and unusual shops, bicycle rentals close to the boardwalk, and various eateries. And then there is, of course, the not-to be-missed OC Boardwalk, running from St James Place to 23rd Street with most of the shops, eateries, mini golf, and amusements located between 5th -15th streets. Ocean City, NJ was voted "America's greatest family resort" in 2016. It is a family oriented resort town located on an island along the Atlantic Ocean about 20 minutes south of the Atlantic City casinos. Most of our beaches are lifeguard protected in the summer. There is a bay front area for water sports, fishing charters, and boat rentals. The Cape May County Park and Zoo is 25 minutes away and admission is free! Other fun, educational, and interesting attractions include events the Ocean City Music Pier, the Wetlands Institute, Shell Museum of OC, small but lovely aquarium in Atlantic City, Ocean Cruises, Whale Watching from Cape May Harbor, Cape May historic district, walking mall, Cape May Point State Park and Lighthouse, and Sunset Beach. (All can be found in an internet search.) Enter and leave OC via bridges at (1) the very North tip of the island - this takes you to Longport and Atlantic City for the casinos, restaurants and entertainment, outlet shopping; (2) Ninth Street, to Somers Point for night life, restaurants, and shopping; (3) 34th St, which is the easiest to Marmora shopping district as well as access to the Garden State Parkway for other shore points north or south; (4) 55th Street bridge which takes you down the Ocean Drive through the shore towns to Strathmere, Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS RENTAL: JUNE / JULY / AUGUST / SEPTEMBER - 7 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY (However, If you see OPEN dates for less than 7 nights during June/July/Aug, then these fewer than 7 night stays are able to be booked. We visited October 6-9 for a family celebration. The condo was a perfect place to land after each day. We enjoyed a cozy space to gather, eat, visit and rest up for the next day's adventures. Ruth was a great communicator, both prior to and during our visit. We found every thing we needed for both lounging around and getting ready for a formal family function. The location of the beach was just icing on the cake. Thank you for a wonderful backdrop for our family fun.

While at the property, the Fire Department responded for an alarm. The Fire Department evacuated the building due to a high carbon monoxide reading. Our family’s dangerous exposure to carbon monoxide generated by the owner's carelessness. The owner admitted to placing a drip pan on the bottom of the oven, causing a malfunction. The malfunction triggered an alarm and Fire Department response. The owner acknowledged the problem, but refused a refund stating that our family had the option to stay because the Fire Department representative and the Gas Department representative said it was "OK" after marking the oven a hazard and disabling it. The owner questioned why the Fire Department opened a window that was labeled "DO NOT OPEN" after our family advised them that the Fire Department opened all the windows to vent the location. Additionally, our family reported that the entry door's lock latch needs to be repaired after the Fire Company cleared the scene. The handle will lock, but the door can be pulled open due to a missing latch. The owner was angered when our family voiced concerns related to building safety with the exposure to carbon monoxide. After our family requested a refund, the owner accused our family of damaging a sofa. Our family suspects that the condition of the sofa was known by the owner prior to our arrival. Our family reported safety concerns to a VRB0 representative

Ruth's residence couldn't have been more perfect for our family. It is ideally situated with about a 5-10 minute drive to the boardwalk and a 90 second walk to the beach. The home is spotless and bedrooms were spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed lounging on the porch for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Randazzo's pizza literally downstairs was convenient as well. The neighborhood is quiet and all of our neighbors were very friendly. We had a wonderful stay.

The location couldn’t be more perfect. Only a block from the beach and Ruth had a cart available for bringing beach necessities for the short walk. There was plenty of space for me and wife, two kids, and two sets of grandparents. For the couple minor things that came up, Ruth was in top of it all and communicated immediately. Would gladly recommend.

Our family of five (two adults plus three young children) had a wonderful stay here while visiting Ocean City New Jersey! Clean, spacious, and well located, we enjoyed the ease of walking to the beach, the playground, and several local shops and restaurants. We made use of their beach cart and beach toys. The owner, Ruth, was communicative, helpful and kind.

This property was a very comfortable and convenient spot for our family. It's clean, well appointed and decorated beautifully to make everyone feel right at home. Searching for an accessible rental for my father who uses a walker, I stumbled upon this condo in February and booked as soon as I could. One short block away from the 34th street beach, there is a long sand mat at this beach, a surf wheel chair that can be used, and bathrooms. The condo is part of a 4 or 5-condo building (about 12 years old or so), with 2 parking spaces and an elevator up to the common entry landing on the second floor. We had 3 adults and 3 teen age girls. The 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and common space provided more than enough room for all of us. I like this location because the beaches are much more spacious, walking distance to the Acme and other conveniences, but just a short drive, bike ride to the "action" of the OCNJ boardwalk. Parking is easier down in this section, so some mornings we would drive to 23rd and Boardwalk, park and be off on our morning walk. Ruth and Bob were lovely hosts. Please only stay here if you plan to treat their condo like it was your own. They have put a lot of love and care into this home away from home.

We loved it here! Was a litle concerned that it was right above the pizza shop but that made no difference at all. Fantastic porch with a great breeze. Clean home, lots of amentities, kitchen had everything we needed. We will be back
