About this condorental
Situated in Barcelona, this charming condo for $306 per night is a great option for your next trip. Two-bed, two-bathroom period apartment (1-A) with original features and stylish street balcony. Great location just a few blocks easy walk to Paseo de Gràcia - with the Gaudi buildings of la Pedrera, Casa Batlló, the emblematic street la Rambla and the Sagrada Familia, amongst other beautiful sites. This apartment (1-A) is one of two luxury apartments that we have in the same building which are perfectly located in an upmarket street in the heart of the Eixample district within the Quadrat D'or (the Golden Square) of central Barcelona. We welcome stays from couples, families (there is a cot) and cruise visitors. There is a limit of 4 adults for comfort reasons. It is within comfortable walking distance of most top popular tourist sites such as the Gaudi modernist architecture of La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, the Sagrada Familia, La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter with the Cathedral, designer shopping streets. "barceloneta" city beach and old port can be reached in a 20 minutes walk or a 5-minute taxi ride. The apartments date from the year 1900 and have original "escofet" tiled floors and period features. We have worked carefully with designers and specialists to retain the original building features whilst bringing the apartments into the 21st century by including a stylish modern kitchen, bathroom, comfortable living room and dining area and a period balcony looking over great period architecture. There is a free Wifi fibre-optic connection and the apartment (1-a) has climate control air-conditioning. In our opinion this is one of the best areas for visiting Barcelona because of its central location and historical heritage. The apartment is very peaceful at night and at weekends. There are great cafes, bars and restaurants close by which we can recommend and we have personally tried. The closest metro stations (Urquinaona (l-1 red line and Tetuan L-2 purple line and Girona L-4 yellow line) are only 2-3 minutes walk from the flat. The building does not have its own private parking because it is a protected building, but a small privately-run car park is close to the apartment (less than one minute walk). Otherwise, paid street parking is also available in the area. Bathroom towels and linen are provided as well as basic toiletries, cleaning products and a welcome pack. A taxi should only take you around 15 minutes from Barcelona Sants railway station, 30 minutes from Barcelona El Prat Airport and 20 minutes from the cruise port. We can help reserve taxis on departures. Other public transport options are also available.

What a wonderful 6 day stay at Sweet Home Barcelona!
Nice greeting from Isabel, and she was flexible and let us into the apartment when we arrived before the arrival time. She arranged a taxi to take us to the train station when we left. The address issue was a bit disconcerting for pre-planning however it did work out in the end - the exact address is provided 1 week before arrival. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, the master has an en-suite bathroom the other bathroom is next door to the bedroom. Kitchen has the essentials that you need.
Beds comfortable - plenty of pillows. Shower arrangement good with wonderful lit make-up mirror. Plenty of hot water & great water pressure. There is a small but good elevator except it decided not the work the day we left. Soap, toilet paper, bottle of water, orange juice, coffee pods and milk were left for us. The tap water is fine to drink.
Isable has 2 apartments on what literally is the 3rd floor and have a common foyer. Ours is on the back side of the building and is very quiet. Building seems very safe and secure. There is a key to the building, another to the apartment foyer and then a separate key to each apartment. Grocery and restaurants very close by.
There is a wonderful blue folder with everything you could ask for, including directions for the apartment, local shops, restaurants, and sites to see.
The only concern is no curtain to living room area for privacy or to keep light out.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the location and the apartment excellent. Very comfortable for the 4 of us with the 2 baths and 2 BRs. The kitchen is small but modern and very well equipped. Everything was very clean and organized. We loved the balcony for coffee in the morning and vino later in the day. Isabel met us at the apartment and gave us lots of information on the area and things to see in Barcelona along with maps, restaurants and suggestions for airport transfers and even walking or travel times. Isabel is one of the best at communicating with her guests that we have ever encountered. Keep up the great work Twin Mind and we would definitely stay here again.

Isabel was a fantastic host and very accommodating. She is a very detailed oriented person and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. She was very accommodating and clearly explained the check in process. Prior to leaving, she even ordered us a taxi for our departure.
Regarding the apartment, the master bedroom is large with a beautiful bathroom and storage closets. The second bedroom was small but worked fine for 1 adult. There were 2 bathrooms which was helpful. We absolutely loved having coffee in the enclosed terrace that overlooked the square.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience staying at Isabel’s apartment.

A warm and cozy apartment. Beautiful decor with modern conveniences in a beautiful old building. Lovely light and tall ceilings, with beautifully restored moorish stlyle tiles. Tall, glass terraced doors that look out into a courtyard. Just a lovely space in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of outdoor cafes. We all just loved this place!

We had an awesome time at this property. It is centrally located and a short walk to the Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia or shopping in L'Eixample. The apartment was very clean and had been modernized dispite being in a historic building. Lastly, Isabel was a gracious host who made us feel welcome.

This personal attention was above & beyond anything I had ever experienced before, and it was truly appreciated. The apartment is very comfortable, and we enjoyed coffee on the balcony each morning. We appreciated the bottles of water, Cava, and orange juice, plus the delicious chocolates you left for us in the refrigerator. Our trip to Barcelona was a long time coming, having cancelled a trip in 2020 for a well known reason. Picking the right place to stay was of primary importance, and this apartment in the Dreta de l'Eixample District was absolutely the right choice. Everything about this apartment was perfect...location, amenities, and the host. It's location is within walking distance to many tourist attractions, great restaurants, and shopping areas. We did not use a taxi once during our stay. The apartment has all the comforts of home if you prefer to stay close. As for the host, Isabel was a dream. We have stayed in many rentals in and out of the United States, and Isabel is, hands down, the best host we have ever encountered. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Her communications were timely and thorough. I would definitly stay here again.

Everything was amazing, quiet neighborhood, comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment and excellent location. The only downside is no toiletries provided which really puzzled me for missing the basics. The surprising touch was juice, milk and a bottle of water were stocked in the fridge. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be back if I return to Barcelona.

We really enjoyed our apartment. It was spacious and had all the amenities that we look for including laundry. Our host was very pleasant and met us upon arrival. She also arranged a taxi to the airport. We really enjoyed the large balcony that we shared with our friends who were staying in the other apartment. You had to walk a little to find more restaurants but the area felt safe and was pleasant to stay in.

The apartment was very comfortable. It included everything you would need for a stay. Isabell was extremely helpful in arranging taxis for us. We were a little confused as to its exact location, but that was more our doing than hers. She left a detail book on how to use all the appliances, including the European washing machine, and also recommendations for tours and restaurants. I would highly recommend this delightful place to stay.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this our apartment for our week long stay in Barcelona. The listing was completely accurate and everything was clean and in great condition. Our daughters (10 and 13) were very comfortable in the second bedroom. The neighborhood was charming and the location was great. We could get to almost every site we wanted to visit with a 15 minute walk. We only ended up taking a bus or cab 2 times because we were pressed for time or wanted to save our legs from an uphill walk. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone planning a vacation to Barcelona!

This is an amazing apartment and perfect for a stay in Barcelona. The location makes exploring the city a breeze as you can walk many places and get anywhere by the excellent transit system. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, is quiet and there is a lift. Great water pressure and hot water in the showers. The tub was a real bonus. The apartment is spacious with everything you might need during your stay. Isabel is a wonderful host who had cold beverages including Cava and treats ready when we arrived which was so nice after our long flight. The apartment comes with extra pillows and blankets and is very comfortable. The apartment interior is lovely and shows off the building’s history complete with Guidi tile floors. This is a great place and we highly recommend it to you! And if you stay here, be sure to have a brunch at the Egg lab. Delicious!!!

Apartment was even nicer and larger than appeared in pictures. Great location within easy walking distance of metro and restaurants. Check in was easy and Isabel helped us by booking a taxi for an early morning flight. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Great location in a quiet neighborhood with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The apartment was within walking distance to outstanding restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and a wonderful neighborhood market.
We had no problems getting to Park Guell, La Sagrada Familia, Mercado de La Boqueria, La Rambla, the Picasso museum and so much more.
Isabel and Mike are accommodating and charming, we couldn't have asked for better hosts.

Isabel and Mike were very responsive and helpful, and the flat is very centrally located. It was just three blocks to the subway and perhaps a 10 minute walk to the amazing Gothic Quarter. Heating was a bit of a challenge, as it was cold in there for January despite our cranking the heating.

I stayed at Isabel and Mike’s Sunset Apartment during a three week visit to Barcelona. The apartment was clean, well outfitted and very charming. It’s location is ideally situated in central Barcelona with great access to everything either on foot or by public transportation. I felt very safe in this lovely neighborhood and it was always peaceful and quiet inside the apartment. Beyond the beauty and charm of Sunset Apartment was the wonderful and caring hospitality that Isabel and Mike provided. Everything is clearly laid out for us as guests and they’re always ready to help if needed. Simply put, I had a wonderful experience!

I stayed in Isabel’s apartment with my mum and sister for 4 days. She was a brilliant host, we had excellent communication leading up to the stay and during our time in Barcelona. The flat was gorgeous, clean and a great location. Isabel had also left a great book explaining everything in detail and with great recommendations. We loved it and would definitely recommend!!

This flat is tasteful, modern, clean and very well equipped. It has air conditioning, but likely not needed as a lovely breeze flows through the unit. The owner, Isabel, left superb instructions and her restaurant recommendations were spot on. The location is central and near transportation although not more than a few km from most major sites. The second bedroom is surprisingly small but has a window onto a ventilation shaft that provided good air circulation. Plenty of room for suitcases in the big bedroom or the living room. Both bathrooms were great. We loved our stay and Isobel is a wonderful hostess.

This was our first trip abroad. So a bit nervous to navigate in a big city and unfamiliar with the area. We were looking for a convenient location in the heart of Barcelona. This rental was PERFECT! From the time we booked, throughout our stay and upon our departure the hosts were wonderful! The communication was easy and very helpful. Upon our arrival we were given a tour of the property and many many options for great places near there. We were within short walking distance from just about everything and even the train station for trips outside the city. We were very pleased and definitely recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona!
