Amazing Views

The room was wonderful, we did have trouble getting in the room because we didn’t have the correct keys, but they solved it quickly. The view was amazing, quick access to the beach, room was clean and the pool was great. Overall it was a great stay and we definitely look forward to renting it again in the future. Read more

The pictures made the property look a lot nicer than it was. When we walked in, the property was pretty dirty (i.e. puzzle pieces on the ground, dirt & sand). The dishwasher and laundry machine were not working properly. The ice machine on the freezer kept getting stuck and spitting out a bunch of ice. The corbels at the foot of the beds in the 2 bed room kept falling off. The main bathroom is also in pretty rough shape. We have stayed at Shoreline Towers multiple times and this was the most worn down condo we have had. The location and views are amazing!! Read more

Destin with friends!

The grounds of Shoreline Towers are amazing. The location is wonderful, but this unit is in dire needs of repair! The smell is musty/moldy, the air filters were so black they were making black marks on the ceiling, the shower surrounds are rusted and the windows and doors need to have their weather stripping repaired. The wind blowing made a constant whistle . I will choose shoreline towers again, but not this unit even tho the view is amazing. Read more

We love Destin and have been taking our family here for 20 plus years. This is the first time we have tried Shoreline Towers. The good, very convenient and the views are amazing. Unfortunately, that’s really all I have positive to write about this condo. As soon as you walk in the condo, it smells musty and not fresh at all. The furniture is extremely outdated. Dirty living room sofa and the rug needs to be thrown out. The table and chairs in the kitchen need a good cleaning or even better replaced. This was our Thanksgiving vacation so we had our dinner on the deck. We had to buy a table cloth because the table on our deck was rusted and old. New furniture, fresh paint and rugs are a must before anyone stays in 1111. The front door knob was old and about to come off when we arrived. A couple days later the key wouldn’t work after coming back from the beach. Management wasn’t avail to help us because they took off several days due to the holiday. No one was available to help us. We finally contacted the security guard and it took 2 hours to get a maintenance person to replace the bad knob. We were stranded since our car keys and money were locked in the condo which the key no longer worked. Highly unhappy with the condo, decor and management. We have stayed on many other beautiful condos along the gulf. Look elsewhere!! Read more

Reviewer Comments: As a former owner in Shoreline Towers for many years (until Jan 2021), we had always wanted to stay or own a unit right on the beach like 1111. One of the best views in the entire complex with amazing, extended and unobstructed views in both directions down the beach. Kitchen is well furnished and equipped with everything you would ever need to cook. Very comfortable beds and furniture, especially the recliners!! As you walk around the main rooms in the unit, all you see is beach & WATER!! Almost feels like you are on a cruise! Only slightly negative was the small master bath and master closet that was hard to access due to washer & dryer taking up most of the space (as it was pulled out away from the wall). The 2nd bath was much larger and the size usually found in the master. Plenty of drawer storage via the very nice bedroom furniture in each BR. Next time we will have an excuse to bring fewer hanging clothes!! Overall, a fantastic unit that I would rate as a 10/10 on the most important things in a beach condo (View, comfortable, clean, updated and furnished well. We absolutely loved it and would like to rent again. Potential renters should book with confidence that the views are the best in Destin! Read more

We paid for umbrella and chair rental and got a weekly rate of $260.00 The best part about the condo was it’s phenomenon covered balcony and ocean view! The kitchen was fully equipped to cook meals for our family. Due to restaurants functioning at 50% capacity, the waits averaged 1.5 to 2 hours so we cooked a lot. The management team was gracious to accommodate our family’s 5 # service dog with appropriate documentation. The bedrooms were comfortable and sorta skimpy on extra blankets. The living room furniture is awful and honesty for the Rental price, this should absolutely be replaced. The couch sunk in and you felt as if there was no support. The coffee table was hanging on by a thread, and I moved in fear someone would get hurt being how wobbly it was! There could be more seating on patio, maybe lounge chairs. Overall, I would consider renting again just for the view, balcony and beach access. Read more

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first family beach trip in years so we needed a place that would fit 8 people and this condo had plenty of space. The condo is probably 45 years old so the condo and building shows it. Only one of the 2 elevators were working for instance and the building was unusually stinky. Once you get past the fact that it's an old place and the condo has never been remodeled there are some major positives like the absolute best balcony view in Destin. The condo actually is closer to the beach than any other condo in Destin- you can see all of Destin looking east and west from the balcony- looks like the condo building protrudes further into the beach than any other! All the beds were comfortable, large fridge, comfortable chairs, plenty of dining space, large TV and the clear, refreshing and deep pool were all perfect. I like that there was plenty of outdoor parking also. The location couldn't be beat - tons of restaurants, grocery, Dunkin within walking distance. I would stay there again and even pay more if the owners would replace the original carpet, add fresh paint, replace the rusting and corroded shower surrounds, get rid of the 1970's heat globes and wallpaper in the bathrooms etc. Read more

I believe that this kind of issue I had twice already.(2017 and 2018) However, the manage helped me to reserve another room and refunded the difference. I like their fast service, but I do not like their changes due to the same issue. Also, I was reserved penthouse (this is bigger property) but this room# 1111 is small, really old and dirty. Beautiful But.....

Many mornings I sat on the balcony and watch dolphins, rays, etc. It was so much fun. I even had a pelican fly right by our balcony with a good size fish in it talons. The location is outstanding. A short walk to the beach and many restaurants and attractions nearby. The unit was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Now for the cons: slow drains in the bathrooms (which was reported and supposedly fixed but we didn't see any improvement). The air wasn't working very well in the bedrooms (reported and fixed). Then there was the matter of huge roaches! They chose to hide until the day before we were to check out. We killed and bagged the BIG pests. Upon checking out I handed the keys to the lady at the front desk and she told me that's all she needed. I said no its not and tried to had her the ziplock with the dead pest in it. She moved back and said I don't want that (well guess what...I didn't either). I asked her to at least throw the bag away and advised that they needed to do something about the bugs in the unit as they were literally coming out from everywhere. She didn't even offer an apology on behalf of Shoreline Towers. My granddaughter went to get something out of a drawer in the bathroom...guess what greeted her....ROACH!!! All in all the unit is beautiful and we'd probably rent it again except now we know what is hiding everywhere. Read more

Excellent location - several things to know

Depending on what you find important, this place is either a good or bad option. My goal with this review is to provide feedback and help others choose the right place. We have stayed in about 10 VRBO/Homeaway places before and this is partially a comparison to others. This place COULD be a 4/5 star stay with minimal effort. The view is incredible, the location in Destin is excellent, and the layout/spaciousness of the condo is great. The condo was also clean and the furniture appeared to be relatively new and nice. The thing that made this stay frustrating is the lack of details. First, we drove in from Missouri that day and we got in late with 4 tired kids. There was NOTHING in the unit. Not a single roll of toilet paper, no Kleenex/bar soap/hand soap/paper towels/trash bags/etc. There were NONE of any of those things. The kids couldn’t even use the bathroom until I went to the store and bought supplies for the condo. These were specifically listed as included in the paperwork. While it’s about 50/50 for VRBO if they supply a full week, there’s always been enough to get through the first day. This could have been passed off as a housekeeping issue, but it extended beyond that. There were no kitchen towels or washcloths or complete sets of plates (8 for 8 person occupancy). The purpose of this isn’t to list little details (such as no alarm clocks in the bedrooms, etc.), but to point out that overall, there was a shocking disconnect between the nice little things that most rentals include, and the lack of those things in this place. It seems like there was no effort to make it welcoming. We’ve been in other places that were older or second tier (in prime beach locations) where the owners did a great job making the most out of the place and it was an enjoyable stay despite a not being in the best location. They had things like bikes to ride, sand toys, boogie boards, etc. This place was the opposite. All the pieces you can’t change (location, view, etc.) were top notch. I just don’t want to pay that price and have to go to the store and buy $100 (and more importantly - spend an hour or two) taking inventory and buying dish towels and saltshakers because they don’t have any. I would stay in Shoreline towers again, but I wouldn’t stay in this unit again. After the frustrating initial day of figuring out what we needed and multiple trips to the store, the rest of the week was very enjoyable. Read more

all was great except for the guard at the gate...he had no idea what to do to get us checked in and kept us at the gate for 20 minutes..when we finally were allowed to go to the office everything went just fine, they had delivered the check-in package to the very same guy at the gate, he just didn't know what to do. they made him come to the office and bring it to us.
