Perfect stay!

Perfect stay! The studio was spotless clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great (near Sovereign mall, Devon House ice cream, and Chilitos dinner). We felt safe in that area. The host was very friendly, kindly accommodated our last minute booking (Thanks James!), and was very helpful with sharing tips and things to do in the area. Internet was fast and AC worked well. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely place to stay, close to amenities, well-equipped and comfortable, and fantastic host!

The location was great - safe and centrally located, walkable to grocery stores, close to New Kingston business district. During rush hour, traffic in the neighbourhood was heavy but still moving. Taxis had no trouble finding the place. It was quiet and calm. The pool was clean and huge, perfect for swimming laps. The garden view from the room was lovely, and the enormous mango tree outside the window kept the sun out and the apartment cool. With the fan going, there was no need for AC. The apartment was a studio, so not very big, but it was fine for one person. The kitchen was well equipped. On the first day I noted there was no coffee machine and asked the host about it. Within hours he had brought me a new coffee machine - I was so impressed with the responsiveness! The wifi was super. And I loved the decor - vibrant colours, beautiful art by a well-known local artist. It made me feel like I was at home.

The apartment was on the small side. While it was comfortable, it might have been nice to have a small table next to the sofa to put one's cup or plate. The balcony was too small for a chair, so I had to sit inside. That said, the price was right, and there were a lot of other great things about it, so it was fine and I would definitely recommend.

Superb

Great location, perfectly equipped kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed and sofa, excellent lighting, wonderful pool. Sheldon was very helpful. I got a complimentary cleaning after one week which was great. And I was happy about the laundry facilities.

The pool could do with a new coat of paint but it's clean and big and wonderful for swimming.

The external anesthetics was not up to par!! no, amenities- the pool was not inviting and not well maintained!

Over all we will stay there again but not for 2 weeks as the accommodation is suitable for short stay.

There was not enough seats to set on, in the second week we found two small collapsible tables under the sofa to eat on. There was no toaster despite being told there was one.

Apartment was decorated nice, welcome snacks on arrival, bed was somewhat comfortable and it was clean and stocked with dishes etc.

The exterior of the apartments looked run down and there was minimal to no security, there was a very elderly man at the front. I had also specifically asked about washer on site and was told there was, but was not told it was shared by an entire complex (one very old washer) that needed tokens that were $3 a piece, when booked I read over terms did not see a deposit required but there was a $200 hold placed in my card when I was only staying for 2 days, this was shocking and way over my budget which was a major inconvenience.. I would have left but because I was already on the island I felt stuck to try and find another place last minute ad a foreigner would have been difficult.. I have stayed at several properties on the island with another site and this has never happened… mind you it was 99% of the fee for stay… I could see if I was there a week or more.. check in was overly slow and seemed like an interview of distrust. I won’t be back , I’m waiting still for the “hold to be released”. Never ever again.

I enjoy the appartment it was good.

Well first off i didnt like the fact u had to paid extra funds for the room when the price on booking was less. Secondly a damage deposit wasnt discussed and i has to pay additional funds and have ro wait 7 days to get back the balance. Next thing the pool and outdoor were horrible.

Luxury on a budget

I love this spot very much. It was so comfortable, classy you name it. Mr. Sheldon was a very great host and very down to earth. I wish I could've stayed longer because I really had a peace of mind, something I haven't had in a very long time. I highly recommend this vocation spot. Respect goes out to you Mr. Sheldon.

Cozy apartment and very private

Very comfortable, quiet, and private. The apartment was clean and even had a nice outside area.

The only issue the pool was not clean or usable,I guess it was because of covid

The location was safe and secure. The amenities made me feel like I was home. Very clean location.

I think that the location should have basic food condiments. Ketchup sugar etc.

Very good for couples who’s just want to be a home away from home.Host was superb .

Convenient location to get food if you would prefer not to cook especially if it’s a small get away. Everything is basically in reach. Quite environment and a very clean one.

One key attraction about choosing this unit was because of the pool, however I was able to use it because the color of the pool was a bit dark in color. That was my only discomfort , the main thing I was looking forward to I didn’t actually get to do.

Sheldon is the best

I don’t think you can really go wrong with a Choose to be Happy property. Prices are comparable to other properties and Sheldon is an exceptional host with a wealth of information. This is the second Choose to be Happy property I stayed at. Like the other property, it’s very clean and modern.
