Would come here again!

Super great place to stay on Big Corn Island. Helen was our host and super helpful. You can see the beach from the front door.

Only minor negative thing is that we had workers crossing the terrace every know and then which was not a big problem, but somewhat compromising on our privacy. In case the power blacks out, the generator takes over which is really really loud. This happened during our last night from 11pm to 0am which fortunately was only an hour.

Did not like it!

The unit is renovated/ new.

it was unclean, towels smelled- dust and spiders web covered most of the stuff. The interior configuration was not the best as the kitchen and bathroom are on the lower floor and the upper floor has space that contains the bed. There was no wardrobe or space for clothes storage. On daily basis we found cockroachas around the house and geckos crowling all around the unit- I was always on high alert. Also the unit has no living room/ space for sitting inside, only outdoor seating. Location: the unit is on a dead street on the island, be ready to walk 10 mins to find a taxi from the main road.

Wonderful Host, Beautiful Property, fell in Love with Big Corn Island

The wonderful hosts was what finished off the already beautiful property. The accomodations were clean and unique, you can tell the owners took great care in the interior and exterior finishings as well as interior decorating. Amazing place and value. Big Corn Island was very easy to get around. This property is located on Long Bay. It took approximately 5 minutes to get anywhere on the island in a Taxi for 20 Cordobas Each. We rented scooters for 275. us money, we could have hired a private taxi for the entire day for 7 days for that price. We never took advantage of a Bbq on the beach by Helen. I wish we did, the food choices on Corn Island were a bit dissapointing however our Taxi driver Osmar recomended a couple places and they were fantastic, Darinias $$$ and Maris.$$. We will return and definately stay here again, can't wait to see the completed BBQ Pergola and seating area as well as receiving fresh coconut water from Kathy's Coconut trees 🌴 delicious. Thank you for a memorable stay. Oh yes FYI when the weatherman says it going to be thundering and rainy for weeks, don't believe it. This is what our weather forecast said and everyday except one was beautiful in two weeks. You will appreciate multiple tropical downpours that last maybe 15 minutes and then it is gone, so refreshing. Adios Muchas Gracias. 🥰
