Location was good as far as centrally located but bad for veing a bit rough.
No AC!

Shower was beautiful! Outdoor patio area was nice as well. Location was really good, just 2-3 short blocks from Valencia. The place was clean and well maintained.
Street parking is supposed to be available but good luck finding any. Nearest parking garage is about 3-4 blocks away so plan to bring a rolling suitcase that you don’t have to carry. There are a lot of homeless in the area, they are lined all down the front of Mission Street and the front of the hotel. They weren’t rude or intrusive but I did worry a little bit being female and only with my daughter. If you leave the property through the patio it’s more comfortable. Lastly, there was no AC. The weather was warm when we went so it was a little warm for us in the room even with the w window open.

Only coffee and tea was available
The inside was perfect. Right outside the main entrance, the sidewalk in this area was extremely uncomfortable to walk through. There were many transients, trash scattered, and strong urine odors

Rooms and bathrooms were clean.
The mattress in room 302 had a dip on one side of the mattress and it made uncomfortable to sleep on. Directions on where to place dirty towels in one of the bathrooms. No elevators

Nothing. Wish I could score you a zero!
The entry door was surrounded by homeless ppl. The entry door was SHATTERED glass! I DID NOT feel safe at all. We Did Not stay here because it was unnerving having our security door shattered with all the homeless people around. Could hardly get to the door with my luggage. They Do Not offer a refund even though we never stayed here! Very unaccomidating and a far distance from Pier 39. NOT SAFE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I HAD A RENTAL CAR AND REFUSED TO PARK ON THE STREET!

I saw almost no one. No noise from other guests at all. It felt as if I had the place to myself, even the bathrooms and showers.
The bed was uncomfortable, the tv did not work at all, the showers had low pressure and had inconsistent temperature- either very hot or very cold. The rooms are not temperature controlled.

Dodgy area full of drug addicts, we didn't feel safe at all. The digital key didn't work either so we couldn't access our room the entire stay, the hotel didn't reply to any of our emails or messages. We changed to a different hotel downtown and it was the best thing we could've done. Do not come here.

location was ok
our bed was totally broken. an entire side of it had structurally collapsed. all rooms ending in “02” were facing Mission Street, and are this very loud. no staff at all present.

The inside of the building was exelant. But the outside was a slum with a slum with all the grafitt and vaccent buildings. People hocking junk on the streets and tent homeless. Did not feel safe after dark going out side.

Good value, great location and lovely helpful staff from manager to cleaners.
When you come from abroad, it is not a given that you will have phone reception and wi-fi when you land, so this smart key checkin can be a horror show after a thirteen hour journey!!! there is no point in having a sign that says ring a number if you can't get in when you have no reception!!!

Spent a night here at short notice was a great place to stay, no problems with operating OpenKey, was secure and quiet. comfortable rooms and spotless facilities.

Nobody sent me the Code to get in. and there was nobody at the phone. Nobody answered me. I lost a money for one night.

The check in and building & room access process was great. The toilets and shower rooms were clean and well stocked. It was not an issue to have shared bathrooms.
The mask policy and push to not use the common rooms don't make sense and seems not very guest friendly. People have moved on, and masks should be optional and guest should be able to congregate in the break rooms if they feel like it. Also, although pretty nice, the room we stayed in really could use some shelves or night stands, two chairs instead of one, and the mattress was really warn on one side.

the location, despite being a bit dirty, is close to my work. They did have decent free coffee and water in the reception area.
My room overlooked mission street, with thin windows it was so loud all night, street cleaning, trucks, music etc. they really need to get some double paned acoustic windows to make this a livable space. 16th and Mission has a lot of homeless and drug use, which could be an issue for many. Personally I’m fine with it (outside) I just want a clean quiet room with a comfortable bed, you will not find this here.

I didn’t eat breakfast at the hostel but had some tea which was good. The hostel itself was very quiet which I liked. People were pretty respectful about the volume, as it seemed like no one was there! The room was clean and it was a good amount of space for 2 people. The washrooms and shower was really clean, and they provide toiletries like shampoo and body wash if you need it. The location is good as it’s close to public transit stations and coffee shops nearby.
I found the bed sheets a bit dirty though as there were some stains but thankfully they have housekeeping everyday. I found the area itself unsafe, especially if you’re a woman. It would be helpful if the hostel had better signage of their place as it’s difficult to find at night especially with scaffolding right next to it.

Good location for foodies, clean despite the shared bathroom.

It was a private room and there was minimal noise during my stay.
I spent minimal time here and it was a good base.
I stayed in multiple places across the US during a months stay. This was the most expensive and unfortunately I rate it as the worst. San Francisco prices will play a part in that.
Not a bad stay at all though.
There was a funny smell throughout, which was quite musty.
The hotel can't help it, but the rows of homeless people outside could put people off stating here. I had no problems at all, bit it could make people feel unsafe, particular a woman on their own.

Was clean
Location is right beside crossroads on big road. Don't get room in the front. The noise is terrible .room even had a noise blocker type device . I didn't read booking , there is shared bathroom. I'm cool with that , but not at price point.

Location
Check in process, room key on an app which didn't work properly, no staff on site for most of the day, no AC in rooms

the location, lot of homeless people around

Clean, recently renovated inside, comfortable, nice shower, didn't feel crowded everything was there when I needed. Internet is fast and connection is strong.
The neighborhood is rough. As a light sleeper I was able to hear movement through the building. Had to use my smartphone to play sleeping noise, which worked really well
10.0
it’s cleanliness. really kind people, lovely housekeepers and manager. Everything easy to understand.
the neighborhood has a lot of homeless, but after a tour- guided explanation I could understand they were not harmful, but at the beginning I was a little scared. If you treat them
friendly, they’ll be like that.

Very clean place.
Free coffee.
No problem with the shared showers. They were always available.
1. The electronic key did not open my door. I had to wait roughly 30 mins to have someone coming and get me a physical key as there no one in the reception. Someone on the phone tried to guide me to the storage place to find the key by myself. I left messages to the hotel this morning in the email. Still have not heard back.
2. I got a very noisy room. A lot of noise from the street.
3. The area feels very unsafe right now. Homeless people sleep in the entrance to the venue. Many junkies on the short way from the BART station to the hotel. If I were a girl I would stay away from this place. The rest of the Mission district feels much safer.
4. The WiFi disconnected during the night for a long time.
With these issues it doesn't worth the cost at all.
4.0
Despite being shared, the bathroom and restrooms were always clean.
The location is something. There are many many homeless in the streets, the streets are pretty dirty and noisy. Even with the windows closed you could hear all the noise in the streets. After the first night sleeping there, my back hurt.
4.0
The Hotel was clean and nicely furnished.
The location was very sketchy, the street outside didn’t feel safe.
7.0
Very clean, tidy.
The neighborhood and the fact that there was no emergency assistance number.
7.0
Quiet(er) room at the end of the corridor which was close to the bathrooms. Easy check in via phone app. Everything was clean and tidy including bathrooms. Valencia street nearby was a great recommendation. Comfy bed.
Neighbourhood was a tad sketchy at times (for someone not knowledgeable about SF areas) - homeless were frequently in front of the door. Part of the area - and no trouble.
Room key was difficult for two people to have at the same time (may just be us, but app was a bit awkward at times).
Room smelt of sick - not sure if someone had been or if it was the vacuum that had been used!
