Un coin de paradis. Les cabanes sont adorables, le lit était super confortable. La vue est splendide.
Le matin les petits animaux de la forêt viennent pour le petit déjeuner, biche, écureuil etc.
Les propriétaires sont super gentils et le petit dej est parfait.

Sapu and his wife were very kind and their accommodation offers comfortable facilities with gorgeous views of valleys and hills of Ella. We adored relaxing on the balcony, while admiring the birds, jungle fowls, giant squirrels, and a very particular species of deer. The tuk tuks arranged by Sapu to the cottage were convenient and recommended.
For all other short or long trips use Uber or Pick Me apps (significantly cheaper with peace of mind).
Reason: Tuk tuk drivers charged us 2500 (LKR) one way to see the Nine Arch Bridge, which didn’t make sense since they charged us 700 one way every other time. We didn’t bother to discuss these costs, but strange things can happen, so be sure to use very good communication and be diligent. The small road to the cottage can only be accessed by tuk tuk or by walk. Plan carefully, use Uber or Pick Me apps, and communicate well with your driver about this. The host may not support this idea only because he’s trying to support the business of his drivers and friends.
We highly recommend dinner at the Clay Pot, Matey, and the White Rabbit.
Hot water for showers wasn’t consistent and low in pressure. Dinner recommendations to Cafe Chill wasn’t good and was expensive, but the venue is nice and relaxing for drinks only. Another nice restaurant for drinks is Hiking Bar.

De locatie lag net iets buiten Ella, maar dat vonden wij juist fijn. De rust was heerlijk en het uitzicht erg mooi. Vooral ‘s avonds als de vuurvliegjes komen :) Oh en het ontbijt is verrukkelijk.

Traumhafte, ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur. Zur Stadt waren es ca. 2,5 km, Hinweg bergab, Rückweg steil bergauf. Der Besitzer hat uns eine phantastische Landkarte zur Wanderung zur Nine-Arches-Bridge und zum Little Adam Peak gezeichnet. Seine Frau war für die Küche zuständig, das Abendessen mit Kottu Roti war super lecker, das Frühstück ein Traum mit Omelett, süssen Pfannkuchen, Obst und frisch gepresstem Saft. Wir haben die 2 Tage sehr genossen.

Ausserordentlich hübsches Häuschen in wunderschöner, ruhiger Umgebung. Sapu war ein sehr hilfsbereiter und angenehmer Gastgeber. Können die Unterkunft vorbehaltslos weiterempfehlen.
WLAN hat praktisch keine Leistung, aber Handyempfang war gut, darum kein Problem.

Sapu was really friendly and helpful , helping us to book tuktuks and giving us recommendations. Breakfast was delicious and the views from the cabins were incredible - the perfect stay in Ella. The pictures didn't do it justice.

Very nice hosts! A young couple, who have good advises for all day trips. It was very nice to talk with them also about genteel and political stuff.
The place is located in pure nature, there also lives a deer couple 🥰
You just have to know, it is located quite far from main road in Ella (15 minutes by scooter), for a Tuk tuk it is not so easy to reach the hotel.

The breakfast made by Sapus wife was amazing everyday. Every morning a different, local breakfast with amazing flavors. The cottage is luxurious. Big bed with nice matrass and pillows. Shower has warm water.
Sapu helped us with our hikes and gave nice tips.
Nothing. Mind that you are a bit away from the main road. But Sapu arranged tuktuks for us.

Sapu and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating. You get all the help you need with planning your days in and around Ella. The food was great, especially the breakfast! Also the room was beautiful and extremely clean. The place is great choice to get away from Ella's hustle and very close to Ella's peak.

Stunning location tucked away up in the hills. The lodges are beautiful with amazing views from the balcony. The owners are absolutely lovely - so helpful and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The banana and chocolate pancakes were incredible!

Super helpful owner who quotes honest prices and is not interested in profit. Some accommodations and restaurants should take an example from this, especially in Ella!

Absolutely lovely place - surrounded by nature and very peaceful.
The couple, who runs it is lovely and super helpful and make sure your stay is amazing. The breakfast is absolutely incredible and tasty. Would definitely stay again there.

The breakfast options were good and they were willing to customise within the range of value paid. The location was cosy and intimate and certainly had the charm that seclusion provides. The proximity to nature with mouse deer virtually 10 feet away in the garden coupled with the wide variety of feathered friends in the treas around made for a tranquil, restful retreat that lived up to the eco tag in that sense. The conscientious reduction of polythene and plastic too is a bonus.
The option of providing a Sri Lankan experience with the food needs to be considered even for overseas guest. Some developments on access road and parking would elevate this property no end. Simple menu choices to suit the location will add to the charm this property.

We loved this place so much! A beautiful new cottage with a stunning view over the hills of Ella with excellent food, hospitality and a sense of calm. The owners are the nicest, most helpful people and really make your stay. Its a quick walk or tuk tuk into town, and quite honestly that’s what you’re want as staying in Ella would be loud!

We were so happy with our stay! The villas are cute and spacious, and the views from your own private balcony... incredible! Also, the owners were so lovely and really made our stay comfortable and easy.

Also, the terrace of the little house was beautiful and comfortable. We could sit, chill, enjoy the view and I could even do my morning Yoga practice in front of the wonderful scenery.

Couldn't have wished for a better accomodation. We stayed at 6 different hotels/ bungalows in Sri Lanka but this was clearly the best. They made us welcome from the very first moment, super friendly, not pushy, just simply nice.
Room is spacious, comfortable with a great view on the valley.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The rooms are clean and aesthetic, the balcony is super relaxing and you can even make your own coffee/tea in the morning and enjoy the view and tranquility.
But foremost the owners were so lovely. Very welcoming people who go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. Also the breakfast is delicious!

The property lies outside Ella city and the terrain is pretty hilly, The couple who runs the place, is so nice and helpful. We have ordered tickets to the train to Kandy (via TripAdvisor) and they did not offer to bring the tickets to the Eco Cottage, Sabo arranged that we got our tickets. A good tip is the local family restaurant - the road is difficult and not easy to find, but the food and juices are delicious. Sabo can draw a map for you :).

Amazing place! The view from the cottages were beautiful and each cottage was super comfortable. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious and portions were massive. You can tell the owner takes great pride and care in running the place. He was also incredibly friendly and helpful, even after we had checked out already. Highly recommend staying here if you can!
Soundproofing isn't great, as you can hear people talking when they are outside. Also, it's a bit far from town, but nothing a tuktuk can't solve!

The property definitely exceeded my expectations. Looked for some nearby properties to extend our stay in Ella. Couldn't find anything even close to this property.
* Peaceful secluded location amidst nature.
* Amazing hospitality. Sapu and Ammi are great hosts, very warm and very helpful. Promptly arranged for tuktuk, scooty as and when we required. Sapu gives you very precise directions and recommendations for wherever you want to go in Ella.
* Room is very tastefully setup and has all the necessary amenities like kettle, fridge, hair dryer etc
* The balcony has a nice view and bean bags.
* Washroom is nice and clean.
* The breakfast is really nice and very filling. Coffee tastes real good.
