A Nice Place to Stay, but Don’t Exoect it to be a B & B.

The vacation home has an excellent view of Okanagan Lake and the Kelowna bridge. It is close to quite a few wineries in West Kelowna. But one must have a car as it is far from the town or main tourist areas. Our room is a “Deluxe Family Suite” which is spacious, with a large bathroom and a balcony with an excellent lake view. (However, other rooms may not have en-suite bathrooms.) Our room was clean and comfortable - though there were a lot of owner’s personal stuff in the wardrobes / closets and drawers, meaning we couldn’t use them for our storage - though this wasn’t important to us.

There is a kitchen in the house, but not meant to be a kitchen for guests’ use. Guests are not welcome to cook. We did get the owner’s approval to fry eggs in the morning, but we had to do it with the BBQ stove in the balcony - so as “not to create an unwanted smell in the house” ! But the owner did initiate to prepare to us a very nice coffee which we appreciated. But at any rate, mind you, this is not really a B & B !

The only thing that I could say is that I forgot to mention to the owner that the AC was either off or not working. I only remembered in the middle of the evening when it was to late. So I do not blame the owner as I didn’t mention it.

You will pay more for the upgrade - in our case it was dirty and the kitchen did not work

All in all, it always seems to be the same: You are shown the "room with private bath" (which is not in the room) and then there is an option to upgrade to a larger room. The larger room was a good size and had a nice view. You can easily take an Uber to downtown Kelowna.

Upselling a room with more comfort like bigger, kitchen, balcony and a great view - BUT it was so dirty! I had a t-shirt and shorts lying on the "bed frame" and it was so dirty afterwards that I could not put it on. Worst of all, the kitchen was not working (only the coffee maker and refrigerator worked). I was told I could use the kitchen in the living room, but come on - that's what I paid more for, to have my own kitchen.

Best view in Kelowna .

The lakeview room was excellent and the host was very friendly.

The room we first booked was not very private and so he accommodated us for a fee to a much better room. Unless you are ok with a room off the main livingroom with a private bathroom across the hall ... I would.rent the lake view rooms . They. Are excellent and well worth the upgrade.

Very clean, fantastic views from the deck,close to getting into down town Kelowna or West Kelowna

Not too far from the highway, very clean and quiet

PLEASE don't try to "upsell" and bargain when people arrive, show people the other options and leave it at that. The "garden view"is VERY inaccurate.

Nice place!!

I stayed two nights with my wife and small dog. Host is very friendly! Lake view room is wonderful! Independent access to the suite, room is large and comfortable. I recommend it to everyone.

too far from kelowna and layout bit odd - bedroom doors off social area

owner very polite and helpful . nice view

far further away than advertised. we booked 2 bed apartment but the 2 bedrooms and bathroom were all off a communal area - therefore couldn’t move freely between our bedrooms and bathroom. owners dog bit yappy

Nothing to say

Its horrible as they assigned us the room next to the train line. It's so noisy as train passes each time even at 12 midnight, 1 am, 2.30 am and 4 am. We could not sleep.

Amazing view at a quiet and very clean place. Would love to come back with family.

Great location that is in a quiet neighbourhood, with amazing view. We were happy to spend time in the room or out on the deck. We ended up just bought food and ate at the patio instead. Thank you for the relaxing time.

Nothing really. Only comment is that the AC turned down in the middle of the night which is quite normal,although i prefer to have it on through the night because I put blanket on, end up woke up too hot to take off the blanket.

Spectacular!

The place was so huge, our room was amazing and over looking the whole downtown of kelowna.

It's perfect. If i have chance again for sure we gonna come back.

Go for the view.

Location and view are fabulous. Rooms are large. Outside patio is great.

Some dishes are provided but there is no place to wash them other than the bathroom sink. Not much in the way of kitchen facilities. If you want to watch TV you have to download a Youtube App to your phone and follow owner instructions from there - not a viable option for many.

Go for the view

Great view over the lake towards Kelowna.

A bit too far out of town for us, you have to have a car. We'd prefer a walk to a bar or restaurant but just not possible here. I noticed after we left our booking was B&B but no breakfast had been offered. Small kitchenette. Minimal equipment. Not even a knife to cut a slice of bread!

Very comfortable and large suite, host accomadated our E-bikes

The initial room that we booked was too small for our needs and we upgraded to the basement suite which was more appropriate for most people with luggage. the deck was great and it was private.

Minor issue with the shower door as it would not stay closed and we had did not know how to use ChromeCast. Basic TV channels were not available.

An Amazing place, great value the view is worth it alone

Amazing View i could spend days stilling on the patio looking at that view , and an amazing conferrable room , was an amazing place to stay will definitely return .

The location and view were fabulous. the home beautiful and spotless. Jason very kind and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay there.

Could be better equipped. Needs more cutlery, a sharp knife, tea towels and a bathmat.

Wonderful view, easy access to wineries, convenient location.

The view was great...facility was spotless.

We're older so connecting our phone to the TV to get YouTube was confusing. Somehow we thought a breakfast was included...but wasn't. Might have been written on the materials but I overlooked. Host was great! Friendly, helpful in recommending restaurants.

It was ok. The location made it a good choice.

There was no breakfast. Location good: 10 minutes to downtown Kelowna. View of the lake and Kelowna was great.

There were two choices of rooms. The first one we saw was just ok so we looked at the second room in the basement which had a nice view so we chose it. However, the amenities were very odd, with the kitchen sink and cupboards in the bedroom, the clothes closet in the bathroom and the fridge in the living room. Then we found out that the price for the basement room was higher than the upstairs room so we changed our mind and moved upstairs. As it turned out, the upstairs room gave us use of the full kitchen and living room - much better for less money!

Excellent weekend stay , scenic view of the Lake !

The views from the place was amazing.. beautiful and quiet neighbourhood overlooking the lake.. night lights from the city was a beauty. Excellent hospitality from the host. Remember to ask for the room with the lake view ! Highly recommended for visits to the wineries nearby.
