The hosts are super friendly. It's our first stay in Costa Rica, so they gave us many suggestions on where to go and tips on how to survive in driving. The breakfast is also tasty. We had the best gallo pinto among our entire trip in Costa Rica. My stomach was not comfortable that morning but the hosts helped me adjust the breakfast so i can digest better. The place is spacious, clean and convenient as well. Definitely enjoy our stay here!

The place is close to the airport so we can hear the noise from the airplane in the early morning.

The host was extremely accommodating and welcoming. He also gave us his phone number should we need any help after we left. We arrived on Christmas Eve and they were kind enough to make us breakfast on Christmas day. They gave very clear check in instructions and met our taxi at the door.

The property is very cute with a nice garden and a cute dog! The hosts were amazing and very helpful. We only stayed 1 night, but Max, the owner, even offered his phone number so that we could call him whenever during our trip in case something happened. He even gave us the good routes to take for the rest of our trip. The breakfast was good and well worth the money as everything is organic and grown in their garden. Location is super convenient as it’s close to a rental car company and the airport. Overall it was a great stay.

The Outlook was great and the warm welcome from Max and the family was outstanding, even my friends got invited in and see the place even they didn't check in there. Got to drink local juice named Kash? And it was amazing. Will recommend!.

The aoartment seems to be a safe place, in a private road, near to the airport. We arrived after the sunset and left before the sunrise, so we just slept 1 night. Anyway, for 1 night stay perfect.

Not so sure the sheets were newly washed..found some hair under the pillow.

Area rugs in the unit were very dirty and needed to be washed. Unit needed to be remodeled. It was very run down. We did not have enough toilet paper for a complete stay.

Close to the airport, nice staff who ordered a taxi for us at 3:00 and woke up to make sure we got up for our flight, a safe environment. we stayed there on the night before our flight home.

There was only cold water in the shower, the bed was awful, tons of mosquitos, and the door's lock was not working. plus the noise from the airplanes was unbearable, we woke up several times at night,

We arrived at the Airport at night after long flights from California. Rio Segundo Studio is a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport (fare ~ $5 US) and offers a convenient refuge from the bustle of the city. The highlight of our stay was clearly the welcoming hosts and delicious Costa Rican breakfast. Max is friendly, interesting, and fluent in English. He provided great advice on local driving and helped us refine our plans to visit Costa Rica. He also helped us with local train schedules and to get an early am taxi for the flight home. The quiet tropical yard features beautiful birds, a resident giant tree-dwelling iguana (Lorenzo!), and Puff, a sweet older Labrador Retriever. After leaving the first morning, we booked Rio Segundo again for our final days to be close to San Jose (local train nearby) and the Airport for the flight home. Good decision!

The room and bathroom were basic but perfect for us. It's a challenge to find this place in the dark so bring your cell phone and directions.

Max and Mireya could. or have been nicer or more accommodating. the property is right near the airport which is a central Am city. but their place is a sanctuary. really the studio is in a garden. in the morning we were greeted by Hoff the yellow lab and the breakfast was amazing. if you need a place close to the airport. this is it

No TV . No hangers for your clothes. No lamp ! just a lightbulb on the roof . Very poor decoration. Very basic…. too basic for what I’ve paid.

A lovely oasis near the airport. Max and Maeyra are wonderful, attentive hosts. They prepared a lovely traditional breakfast, were excellent communicators, and are very flexible. We've stayed here before and will be back!

Lovely hosts who treated us like family. We enjoyed working and relaxing in the beautiful courtyard. It was easy to get here from the airport and was perfect for our short stay.
