Raňajky boli naozaj vynikajúce, dalo sa vybrať. Na objednávku nám pripravili omeletu alebo vajíčka. Lokalita tichá a pozitívne hodnotím aj blízkosť oceánu a centra mesta:). Izbička bola každý deň uprataná, čistá,...
Jediné čo mi na izbe chýbalo bol fén na vlasy, ale pani na recepcii bola naozaj ústretová a požičala nám ho na celé dva dni pobytu. Určite odporúčam niečo proti komárom, možno sieťky na okná, v izbe ich bolo naozaj veľa:). Prípadne si so sebou zobrať prípravky proti komárom:).

2) er wordt massage vermeld op hun site. Die is er ook niet. Dat is natuurlijk niet essentieel, maar vermeld het dan niet op je site!

We boekten een “appartement” . Dat was gewoon deprimerend, een smal bed en in de living alleen een zetel.. , geen tafel, geen stoelen
We konden gelukkig wisselen naar een kamer. Die was veel beter, met goede bedden en veel licht. Het verschil in prijs kregen we wel niet terugbetaald.

Das Reinigungs- und Küchenpersonal war freundlich.
Ich hatte kein Internet im Schlafzimmer.
Ich hatte keine gute Sicht aufs Wasser, obwohl ich „mit Meerblick“ gebucht habe.
Das Frühstück war lieblos und nicht schmackhaft. Manchmal gab es portugiesische Croissants und die waren nicht frisch.

Unlike many of the resorts that have been developed locally, this hotel is locally owned and run and it feels connected to the town. All the staff were brilliant and the accommodation was exactly what we wanted; safe, light, clean, spacious, comfortable. Breakfast was fine - staff offering to cook eggs however we wanted and a cold buffet to choose from - the corn cake being particularly good (best we had in CV)
We travelled around a few islands in Cape Verde, beginning and ending our trip in Santa Maria. We had booked Livvo Budha Beach for our return, but after seeing how it is both dislocated from the town and just another European gated community style resort, we cancelled and rebooked at Aparthotel Santa Maria Beach.
We booked a tour of the island, through the hotel, with another locally owned business and it was a brilliant day out. Sal isn't the most stimulating island for mountain lovers as we are, but being taken around the island, floating in a salt lake, eating in a local restaurant (albeit with dozens of others on similar tours), not seeing the mountain or mirage due to the effects of a sandstorm in the Sahara (no one can control the weather), was a fabulous way to engage with the island and culture and ask to questions. Staff also organised taxis to and from the airport that worked out about €5 cheaper each way.

The location was top, in front of the best beach with all the facilities, in a lovely street with palms, cafes, shops and gorgeous villas, and a few minutes walk from the pedestrian street and many more restaurants, bars and shops. Sea view from the bed/balcony. Good and varied breakfast. Extremely clean. Very modern design for the room, good AC. Wifi was ok for teleworking. They waited for us until 1:30 am for a late check in as we came by ferry from Boa Vista. They arranged us a taxi to the airport as well on our way back. The manager and in general the staff were nice and helpful.
The lack of a mosquito net for the balcony: it would have been nice to breath the lovely breeze from the sea in the evening without getting mosquitos in the room! The bathroom smelled a lot of sewage. But this is unfortunately a common problem both in Sal and Boa Vista.

Die Lage vom Hotel nahe zum Strand war sehr gut, es war sehr ruhig in der Nacht und allgemein dadurch sehr erholsam. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig aber nicht übertrieben es gab einen guten Kaffee. Angenehme andere Touristen*innen mit denen man schnell ins Gespräch kam. Für Alleinreisende ein interessanter Ort
Eindeutig die Duschen, man musste das Wasser lange laufen lassen bis er warm kam, leider nicht sehr umweltbewusst. Auch kam das Wasser eher spärlich. An der Rezeption waren sie freundlich, leider waren die Englisch Kenntnisse ziemlich schlecht, das finde ich schade, von Einheimischen ist es schön gewisse Geheimtipps zu Restaurants, Strände, usw.. zu erhalten

there was no fan or air condition, the shower had to be regulated, when i called to say the room had a smell and was stuffy i was told to just open the windows. there was so much mosquito when i did open the windows. the fridge didn't work and the shower was old and needs replacement.
overall the pictures did not match what was advertised

Beds and airco, ok everything clean
There is no bar....No hot water in the morning...4 from 5 nights. No hand washer in the toilet, we always needed to reenter the bathroom after. So why a separate toilet and bathroom? Very dangerous wardrobe at the entry of the room. Both doors open at about 4 to 5 cm above the floor. It should be at least 8 cm My wife and I hurt our feet several times while opening the doors. How is this possible????

Room was not what was advertised and sold to me in the booking. The place charged me the same amount of money for the room. After realizing that and complaining, I was refunded part of it.

There was not much to like about this hotel. Some of the staff were friendly such as those who cleaned and prepared the food for breakfast.
The was the worst type of hotel management that I have ever experienced. While initially the management appeared on the surface to be polite it become quite clear after a few days that the management was unfriendly, unhelpful and downright rude.

The Stuff at breakfast was really nice and polite. Its close to the beach.
There are a lot of loud talking german tourists (average age 50+). The breakfast is also typical european (a lot of sugar, not really healthy). The furnishing is worn out.

The hotel was so amazing, that we stayed twice! Loved the apartment we stayed in. It had a great view of the beach and the sea. Would definitely recommend, and will for sure stay again if we return to Cape Verde :)

We had an amazing few weeks at this apartment!! Initially we had booked an Airbnb on Sal, but when we got there it was not like the listing, and had ants and cockroaches. We were lucky enough to get a full refund and we moved to Aparthotel Santa Maria. We couldn't have been happier with this accommodation. The staff were super nice and friendly and trustworthy, the breakfast was great, the location was fabulous (not noisy, yet close to everything) and the hotel was SPOTLESS. Literally every day they wash all floors and surfaces and we saw no bugs anywhere during our 2 week stay. This is for sure one of the best places to stay on Sal and is super affordable

For those who wants to be right in front of Santa Maria Beach this is not the place because you got to walk 20 min for the good beach.
Reception was a weird vibe people expect de kid from the night and a young lady the others wouldn't smile much
breakfast is mostly poor quality products
The juice is full of chemicals and sweet no natural juice, the cereals machine is kinda broken, the fruit had a weird taste
If feels like it stopped in time, the decoration and the vibe of the reception it's kinda old...

Location
The rooms were not well isolated (sound and light) and we were waken up early in the morning because there was no shutter nor sick curtain available. There was also a leak in the bathroom. We were disappointed by the service in the reception as they charged us 3% extra because we paid with the credit card although we couldn't get cash in the cash machines in Santa Maria over the weekend as all of them had no cash anymore. Moreover, our passports were kept until we paid (as we were trying to find cash) although our credit card was used a a guarantee for the booking .

Emilio and his family were extremely helpful and pleasant at all times. The whole place is kept immaculately clean. Breakfast was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a lovely place to stay.
Nothing major, there were no drawers in the rooms. We managed by putting some of our things in the wardrobes and the cubes beside the beds, but a chest of drawers in the rooms would be so much better. The only mirror was in the bathroom, so a mirror in the room itself would help for drying hair etc.
Not big things but the addition of these would make life easier.

Great and friendly staff. It was very clean and the room was big with a balcony. We also had a fridge. We booked two tours at the reception and both were really fantastic.
